I didn't really notice a difference between the two to be honest, in terms of torque and gas mileage there wasn't a perceivable difference. BUT ... I did notice the bike was happier in the 75+ MPH range. It's worth it in the fact that I already have K&N products so i can use the same cleaners, but the only way to really tell if there was any gain is by throwing it on a dyno. Any gains that I may be feeling may also be from simply replacing the old dirty filter with something clean. ~NoOne
@@NoOnesWatching0_0 Hello.. I have a 2015 model and im looking for an option to get more air to it without cutting the airbox or something.. So i thought about a filter with a higher flow..But i also live in a very dusty area... I never ride on pavement.. So is it as resistant against dust and debree as the original one?
Don't trade it in, only idiots trade in vehicles and get their a$$ taken. Sell it out right for what it's worth, bikes are going HIGH right now. Then buy a bigger bike. Yamaha doesnt leave extra horsepower and torque on the table for you to grab with a few exhaust and filter "mods". Best you'll do is uncork some response and a silly butt dyno testimony it's "more powerful" It's just a small single cylinder Thumper. Or spend a gaggle of money on a big bore kit and still have a single and small bike.
KandN filters allow more air flow by being less effective at filtering. This allows dirt to also enter. When I was younger I put them in everything. Not no More. They are all Hype and a waste if time and money and damage your engine.
Did you notice any difference in performance after you put K&N filter in ?
That new K&N filter seems a tad smaller than the OEM one. Are you sure that is the right replacement size/model?
no b4 and after comparison ? How did it work out ? More low end power ? Was it worth it ? MPG how did it effect that ?
Thanks man

I installed one into my 2016 XT250 and it improved the torque at all gears. It is noticable. Definitely buy one

Totally agree. And they even more lean out a bike that’s lean to begin with.
