On the one with the car elevator, I'd personally tell the truth in full detail, it's best to let them know you are an honest worker, yes there's a chance you'd be fired, there was a person who accidentally broke an expensive piece of equipment by pure chance, they told the boss the truth and the boss appreciated their and kept them on.
Story #3, that is HIS HOUSE, and someone is coming into his place and telling him how to run it, which is incredibly disrespectful. Not to mention, if they were "so loud", why the hell didn't he just close the damn door? He leaves it wide open, when closing it would probably fix everything noise-related. (I understand probate bc i went through it when my dad passed away). You need to decide if his "help" is worth putting up with his BS & i wouldn't think it was. The lawyer can guide you without him, especially if this is the final step where things are legally transferred to your name. But, you can't kick him out AND expect him to be at the probate hearing to help you, which i would argue you don't really need anyways.

The pipe broke and the the plummer can not go fix it due to the elevator breaking, that is the truth. It is not like Op openned the control panels and took a hammer to them. So I don't know why he is worried since he did the right thing, called the plummer to fix the broken water pipe and called the elevator tec to fix the elevator..
