For the horse story, YOU ABSOLUTELY DID THE RIGHT THING. Anyone who abuses animals by neglecting them should NOT be your friend and needs to be dobbed on. NOBODY should get a horse unless they 100% dedicate to their health and wellbeing. And she told everyone you lied? In fact someone dobbed my horse to the RSPCA because she wasnt putting on weight and recently had an injury (which I got the vet to look after) and the inspector said it was the healthiest 'skinny' thoroughbred she's seen, clearly she was looked after but just unfortunately thoroughbreds can be extremely slim. I had a perfectly healthy horse so the RPSCA lady clearly didnt ask me to do anything, if OP had lied and said the horse was skinny when it was in fact healthy the RPSCA wouldn't have taken the horse at all. Its not a lie when the RSPCA takes it seriously! Lol
I have only owned cats and rats As pets in my lifetime, But these even hold true to household pets. Unlike CPS, The RSPCA actually takes these claims seriously, So they took your animal away, You done messed up bad 😂
Normally horses are fine with just a lean-to, but this is way more than that. No feed. No other horses to share heat with, a bit stuck in their mouth IN THE WINTER, and likely not enough room to run.
Story 2: First, ask the people who've visited. Even if it's "too small", ask around. It could be that one of them found it in their bags/clothes, realized it wasn't theirs, and simply left it. Do either of you visit gyms, use public/shared laundry facilities, or essentially any area where someone else's clothes might have been grabbed by accident? Just walk back through all those scenarios, as there's lots of ways clothes can get accidentally picked up.
Story 2: check the tag for the size of the top, i had a similar thing happen and it was a tank top with special care instructions that when not followed lead to it shrinking to half its original size.
Story 1: Had a similar situation working for UBER, one of the drivers keeps calling the service hotline demanding higher fares, extra money deposited and wanting to speak to a supervisor over all, all the while having minimum deliveries to justify his request. Funny thing is, if he's denied what he wants then he keeps pulling the race card, regardless who he talks to, kept calling so much and just straight up harassed even other supervisors, we had to suspend his privilege in speaking to a supervisor for a couple of months. Meaning he was blacklisted.
I live with my family on a side-street but we have farm animals we have chickens and pigs but that doesnt matter i fully agree with u he is not the jerk that horse abuser is the jerk no not the jerk he is the child of satan himself i love animals (EXCEPT SPIDERS) and if they are being neglected f4 the owners if u want a pet u need to be ready to take care of it
Story 2: I suggest you show her everything, E-mails, text, messenger, video chat, and get a witness, You may not be on trial, but it sure sounds like your girl wants to be the judge. One of the things that can destroy a marriage or relationship is keeping secrets. I know this from experience
Another thing that destroys relationships is lack of trust. If she cannot trust OP then at that point move on. She is doing this to herself. Why should OP do all that? To prove his innocence? Nah. That aint it imo
My sister rescued a hedgehog from a very, very neglectful owner, he was treated so damn poorly that he was extremely dirty, and afraid of everyone, he hadn't been socialized at all
Horse story. Her dad should've never bought the totally novice daughter a 16 hand horse (which that size is most likely a draft horse), unless she was a husky she should've had a pony, maybe 12-14 hands. And a proper shelter and fence.
Last story. I understand the wife is dealing with stuff. That does not mean he needs to give up things he enjoys (while not addicted) transferring your fear helps no one
Story 2...OP is paying for his wife's exes sins. That is always bad. She needs therapy. Story 4...I would have stood on her front porch with a bullhorn, "YES! I CALLED THEM!" 😂 You are not the AH.
That last story rubs me the wrong way- I have my own feelings about alcohol and all that, but like, it doesn't sound like this guy's an alcoholic or anything, and asking him to get rid of the home bar because the wife is paranoid is kind of ridiculous. I think she needs to get therapy, because in my opinion she's projecting her fears onto her husband in a pretty unfair way
Non-alcoholic cirrhosis or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease isn't caused by alcohol, it's caused by a build up of fats. Usually it's due to an unhealthy diet, but there are other factors that can cause the liver to not clear out fats properly. Either way, that woman's an idiot. I mean, I understand that she is upset because of her dad and she isn't thinking rationally because of it, but drinking in moderation is fine and most people won't develop any kind of liver disease. It's the liver's job to deal with fats and toxins, and for most people it'll do that job until the day they die.
The last story the guy needs to get away from her she is way too controlling you're a grown man you don't drink too much you don't have a problem she has a problem with Al the things that you're into and she's not get away while you can
Story 3: The problem with these families is the constant enablment. She persists because she knows that if she whines about it enough, people will cave. The best way to solve that is by.... not inviting her to family functions and kicking her out when she causes a fuss. This " Give her what she wants to keep the peace" is only further enabling that behavior...
Having nothing to hide from your so doesn't mean you should be ok with giving up any privacy you have. Relationships are built on trust, not on distrust, and checking each other's messages forever.
Story 2: This smells really fishy. I've had something like this happen with an ex before. She planted underwear in my car and pretended to find it to try and trick me into admitting I was cheating when I wasn't. She broke up with me claiming that I lied and just didn't want to come clean. I found out 2or 3 wow later that she had one of her friends by them for her so she said me. This might be some kind of screwed up test. I'm sorry if I'm right.
Story 4: The horse, Yes the OP did a good thing but a coward for not admitting he/she called. Me, I would call and proudly tell them that I called. Animal cruelty is the worst.
That second story he should tell his wife she needs to believe him or he will divorce her, with her being the cause of the divorce if there is any prenups. I’ve been with some horrible people. I just know that everyone is an individual with their own thoughts. Edit: FYI, don’t follow any of OP’s advice. Partners trust each other. No access to anything required.
The whole slapping the cop situation reminds me of a little skit I saw on RUclips once where some guy was trying to get away from some crazy woman and realizing how little time he'll have in prison for stealing spoons he asked "how much time for slapping a cop" and one of them respond with the time that I can't remember, I think it was for a few months, but after one of them responded he immediately slaps the cop and I just laugh my ass off
I’m glad the man in the first story tried to stop his wife from going crazy in story 1,that man has earned some respect for trying to stop her. Edit:thank you for the like whoever liked it! To think this comment is almost a year old!
Entitled Aunt story - You guys missed your chance. When she said she refused to go without that leash, I would have tossed her things out of the RV and took off
Soooooo... _his girfriend wants to take away feom him BOTH of the ONLY 2 hobbies he has that are entirely his. No matter the reason, that's bullshit. If he hadn't mentioned the gaming thing I might've sympathized, but now? Now way in hell.
Last story: no his wife is a control freak. She tried making him stop doing other things he liked before ( like gaming). Plus drink 4 times a week is nowhere NEAR enough to be an alcoholic, for op to think that way his wife must have been gulit tripping him for a long time. Also op said he liked brewing his own bear as a hobby. Op's wive just want to take away op's hobbies and leave him with just her
Story 2 reminds me the story of a woman who said that her husband cheated on her because their son do not seems like both of them or like her or him bdw somebody i do not remember but probally her
For the story about the dog leash and the aunt I totally would not have stopped and got another one I would have told her to put a regular leash on her belt!! Never give in to a Karen!
They say Karma will act depending on how you act... Hit, insult, or do anything bad to someone good, and you get the treatment to bite you back. Defend, compliment, or help someone good, or do bad things to bad people, and Good things will happen to you. That first story is a perfect example of that.
story 1: W husband. start: upset, but walking away. middle: trying to stop wife from getting physical. end: mission failed. immediately decide he’s no longer her husband.
Idc how many times youve been hurt in the past you dont act like this because you found tanktop that you dont recognise especially after youve had people stay with you recently, and honestly depending on how it went after that 24 hours id consider divorce no matter how much i loved the person because if you cant bring yourself to trust me after i tell you im not cheating there is no point in continuing the marriage because im not going to spend my life with someone who cant trust me because of past experiences thats simply not what i want in my life
funny that this guy seems to live more than comfortable out of hotels and seeing thta he has more than diamondship status in a lot of hotel chains means he does this A LOT. funny that the OP has better level of living in hotels than at a house
The wife in the last story is controlling like wtf. She even wants you to stop gaming? Sheesh Don't get with someone who wants to change you and the things you enjoy doing.
If you face a similar situation to the last story, middle ground. Tell your significant other that they are right about the not having alcohol too often and to help her dad and keep their health find no alcohol in the house. They can try a replace the in house bar with something else and maybe sell stuff in it to a friend, but they wouldn’t completely stop by limit it to 2 beers with friends Max at their place. And doing this is to be a good example for the family who can learn from it, and to minimize the change of any alcohol related problems from ever showing up, but there are more then 1 way to get some diseases/illnesses but controlling what could well not getting rid of something you like completely is best.
Story 2. OP needs to leave.. this is why you dont marry psychos.. no person is worth taking abuse from... if she has past "issues" thats all on her and not being able to get over it
Normally I wouldn't mind a horse without a barn in the winter, but -30 is too cold. It's also the lack of food, the bit and the fact it was alone without a proper barn. They need companions especially in the winter, when they share body heat and need companship the most. Probably didn't have enough room to run too.
Now for story 2 am not sure If this is true but the wife could have put the outfit there as a test probably wrong but the way her past is she sounds crazy enough to do it idk lol
*Story 1:* I didn't hear what the *"race"* this couple was, or what the hotel manager said to them, so I didn't hear anything racist. There had to have been something else that pissed them off to the point where she felt like getting violent towards OP. It's too bad OP didn't press charges against this couple for the assault.
Story #1 Why why WHY do the the OP's in these stories almost NEVER press charges on someone who clearly fucking deserves it? If someone's behaving like this and being racist towards me simply for having the audacity of being in their presence at the wrong time? You can bet your ass I'm pressing charges for the pettiest thing I can. Though at least this time, she was dumb enough to get herself arrested anyway.
I know im late, but I want to put this out there. For the horse story, you weren't wrong, but you also weren't fully right, to my comprehension. A lean-to is essentially a small little shed for horses to take cover in during rain, or snow. So not having a barn for them to stay in is not always a requirement. Then again, you need a pasture big enough for them to run around in. You definitely could have offered help, but you were correct to call animal services. She was neglecting the horse. You are not the jerk.
story 4: My aunt and uncle used to be heavy beer drinkers, but when my uncle died because of liver failure caused by his beer drinking, my aunt stopped drinking because she didn't want the same thing to happen to her. Myself, I'm 46 years old and I have never drunk alcohol in my life, That might be hard to believe, but my father was an alcoholic which is why my mother divorced him, and I promised myself that I would not be like him, because I don't want to lose a relationship over something like that
I can understand where she's coming from if I were to find some unexplained female garment I would probably believe it myself but knowing him as long as I have I would give him the benefit of the doubt
story 3: You are not the jerk, I know about these types of people who don't care about animals, for I went through something similar. but for me, it was quite worse. I was living with another family and they owned a small little dog. It was very cute. It was winter and it was very cold outside but they said "Dogs have a fur coat, he'll be fine", but I knew that we should have brought him in because that night there was a blizzard, and when we checked on the dog, the poor thing was frozen solid. The dog literally froze to death during the night. The image of that poor dog just sitting there encased in ice, I will never forget that. It was horrific, and when I a life when I personally have known them, it is one of the few things that make me cry
Story 1: Sure.... when in doubt, pull the race card and act like the whole world is personally out to get you specifically. This Karen was a complete idiot and im surprised she didnt get tased along with cuffed and arrested. Also pretty funny that the guy that she was with pretty much disavowed here too. Hope she enjoys jail and the OP enjoyed thier hotel room. Story 2: This is a weird one. Who's to say that the wife didn't plant it there just so that she had a reason/excuse to start all this? I know some people do that. I say its likely to be from one of the previous guests, but the wife here really needs to mellow out. I understand being a bit paranoid from being cheated on in the past, but there seems to be no reason why she shouldn't trust the OP here. Story 3: The moment the stupid aunt threatened to not go on the trip, i would've left you behind, plain and simple. If shes going to act like that over a dog leash.... who knows how the rest of the trip would be like. Story 4: OP is not a jerk at all. If you arent prepared to take care of the horse, or find proper accomodations for it, then you shouldn't have one, period. A horse isn't a playtoy. The OP didnt make the 'friend' look bad at all, they did a great job at doing that themselves. If the 'friend' so much as says one bad word about the OP, i would totally expose the 'friend' on how that horse was treated and see how well that goes over. Story 5: I can see things from both ends here. While its pretty much solely up the OP here on how much he wants to drink, the wife has legit concerns here and i think the OP should really take all of that very seriously... unlike the wife's dad. If anything, the wife's dad is the only jerk here for getting the transplant and then doing all the heavy drinking afterwards.
last story the wife is controlling she just wants op to give up rpetty much everything. honeslty 7 on avarage a week thats like 1 a day thats not an addiction an habbit maybe but thats it. I dont drink myself never did but honestly if my wife would be that controling I wouldnt see my relationship last
my wife and I probably drink once every other month and we hate beer and we both scoffed at the wife in this story. she's obviously out to hobbie stomp it has nothing to do with her father and just another excuse to use for control via guilt. she probably want the OP to take care of their health and is trashing everything until he does
@@briansmith2113 should probably put this same comment in another thread too. Specifically one by an ethantan9434, apparently they don't think the OP's wife is trying to strip him of his hobbies
Cutting back to 4 a week probably was better. I recommend drinking less, but when you do get yourself something higher quality. Also, maybe learn to mix some cool non alcoholic drinks for your wife. She probably would appreciate that.
Before even listening to the story about the horse barn know you're not a jerk. That's just crazy did they even have a blanket on it probably not and yeah that no you're not a jerk for calling Animal Control

@@lowercase_Eshe’s an abusive control freak.
Story five that’s his dad’s problem not yours so do whatever you want
Guy in the first story ain’t do nun, bro doesn’t want to be there
On the story about the Horse, op you are NOT the jerk, your friend and her parents are the JERKS, for leaving that Horse in that condition.
20:22 ah yes. £250
I respect the husband in that first story
story 4: My aunt and uncle used to be heavy beer drinkers, but when my uncle died because of liver failure caused by his beer drinking, my aunt stopped drinking because she didn't want the same thing to happen to her. Myself, I'm 46 years old and I have never drunk alcohol in my life, That might be hard to believe, but my father was an alcoholic which is why my mother divorced him, and I promised myself that I would not be like him, because I don't want to lose a relationship over something like that
my father drinks coffee and drinks beer sometimes.
I can understand where she's coming from if I were to find some unexplained female garment I would probably believe it myself but knowing him as long as I have I would give him the benefit of the doubt
Last story: is the "non-alcholic cirrhosis" bit a typo?
story 3: You are not the jerk, I know about these types of people who don't care about animals, for I went through something similar. but for me, it was quite worse.
Ok I read this and I was a dick correcting you I'm super sorry and that family should be arrested for animal murder
I have on regrets in meeting you
Friend
Should the day come that we are not together
You will continue to shine like
Gold
In my memories
The horse story there is the person who cald that company and she was the hero and i now how that could happen cause i have a horse of mine own
Was story 2 in the cotswolds
last story the wife is controlling she just wants op to give up rpetty much everything. honeslty 7 on avarage a week thats like 1 a day thats not an addiction an habbit maybe but thats it.
I dont drink myself never did but honestly if my wife would be that controling I wouldnt see my relationship last
I've hated alcohol and have been unwilling to drink it ever since either my cousin or my dad gave me a sip of beer at 7 years old
my wife and I probably drink once every other month and we hate beer and we both scoffed at the wife in this story. she's obviously out to hobbie stomp it has nothing to do with her father and just another excuse to use for control via guilt. she probably want the OP to take care of their health and is trashing everything until he does
@@briansmith2113 should probably put this same comment in another thread too.

I would've left that aunt at home with her dog!!!
Before even listening to the story about the horse barn know you're not a jerk. That's just crazy did they even have a blanket on it probably not and yeah that no you're not a jerk for calling Animal Control
