Wow!! Mr. Greene that was one amazing discussion. The students at Yale also asked some great questions. This is the type of intellectually stimulating discussion we should be having every day. A group of self-actualizing human beings having productive discussions. What more can you ask for?

I enjoyed the truck driver story
It reminded me of my dad
My dad was a janitor and landscaper all the way one week before he died at 79
On the surface he was uneducated and small 5’8”
The powerful part of my dad was he was raised in Detroit and was 101st screaming eagle in the army
He was known for drinking and bar fights
He told me he didn’t like bullies and would fight them in life
He told me I don’t fear any man and at first you would say he is crazy and you’re right
The take away from this talk is we all have the same power!
Develop your power and create your environment

The question is, do you really have to be in school or have a degree for people to listen to you? If you already have these sames thoughts as the person who went to school to gain these knowledge. Who in the end has more power?

In as much as Robert Greene is right he looks at things with pessimism ....yes people play power games and love power, however not nearly in the same degree....most human interactions are really straight-forward except those ones where there is competition involved...trying to assert this doesn't make one a denier.Being the genius he is Robert should help those who are greedy for power be aware of it and use it positively.

Hey Robert, This is not relevant to this video, but please answer…Who was the original voice for the audiobook Art of seduction. He had a somewhat evil voice? I downloaded the audio book again but this new voice sounds different? I believe he also narrated the original 48 laws of power?

I had no idea and one day my coach was like oh yeah you broke a record and I really didn’t care and I didn’t know it was his record I broke. Anyways later on in the season I went to go high five him for a good job and he told me “you’re just a freshman shut up” haha whoops

I loveee this talk, amazingly educational and inspiring. Probably one of his best. Was Robert sharper back then? I wonder how good his upcoming book will be compared to his other books but the subject matter is fascinating. I hope it's as great but doubtful.

    • @odysseynoone3831
      @odysseynoone3831 Год назад +1

@Koopa I watch his more recent interviews and he doesn't seem as sharp as he used to be. The interviews are slow and slightly boring, he doesn't explain his ideas as well, and he repeats the same answer on every interview (and I don't know why but the interviewers also seem to ask him the same question over and over and over and over and over.....again). But his earlier interviews, for instance when he was on the Joe rogan podcast, I could listen to that 20 times without getting bored.

@Koopa I dont think he found 50 funny. He followed up with incredible. It's the irony of an old white man using him as an example in his studies, which I think speaks to who Robert Greene is as a genuinely understanding and sympathetic individual who is willing to look at humanity as a whole and not just his small corner of it

@Koopa I come from a background like 50’s. Projects, single parent, brothers and other family part of the Mexican drug trade. There’s absolutely nothing funny about 50 Cent. My comment is based off the fact an intellectual finds someone like 50 so interesting and powerful when at one point people like him were regarded as the worst kind of people. But if you can’t read between the lines of the comment, I’ve no idea how you can even comprehend Robert Greene’s theories or books.
