Still rocking my Onyx Boox Max 3 daily for almost 4 years to the day. I do really wish it had a light but didn't feel like upgrading to the Lumi when that came out. I'm holding off on upgrading until Onyx (or some other company) releases a color 13.3" device. I don't want the Tab. I just need a note taker.
@@harshkadian7896 Gladly. Don't get me wrong, I know some people have had issues with these tablets. I had a couple software teething issues, but I purchased in December 2019 and I use it literally every single day. Usually just a handful of notes. I just got back from a class where I took 70 pages of notes. Reading and searching PDFs, reading books and manga on occasion - all works flawlessly. I might move to a Supernote next, though. They seem to have a nice mix of aesthetics, build quality, and software features.
Please explain in a separate video whatever happened to the planned Fujitsu Quaderno Gen 3 colour eReader/Note Taker that your company promoted well over a year ago. . Also can either you or Michael Kozlowski give some educated prediction of what Onyx Boox may do with the need to provide replaceable batteries and when they might come out with the larger A4zized colour version of their best line. I sure PPRAY they do NOT decide on making the battery smaller as they have recently done for their m best model of the Tab Ultra C Pro, as the whole problem with the ultra fast anti-ghosting techoinolgy they added and the need for more backlight needs a larger battery not a smaller one. But if there were the ability to put in a new battery, that could solve that problem somewhat
It is indeed bulky, and a little niche compared to 10-11 sizes. It's pretty good for its purpose. It can replicate the size of A4 papers. It's pretty good for comfortable PDF reading as a result. Pretty useful for reading papers and textbooks with small text. Most people are ok with reading small text or zooming scrolling, but some people find it uncomfortable or inconvenient, especially when it's on an E-ink screen. It can be too big for traditional note taking, but it's pretty good for dual screen usages like reading on one half and writing on the other half.
Well, monetarily speaking, they have become significantly more accessible. Over 10 years ago, these devices started off at 1200 USD A decade later, they are nearly half the cost in today's money. Which is nearly $800 less than it was back then
Note taking is such an important aspect for so many people out there. There is no in detail video before this which captured the importance. Thanks guys for doing this.
I wish these companies realized how many people would like a cheap 13 inch color ereader to read university books or pdfs on, without the other expensive features: so many students would buy it.
Here for the contest.... then saw the Onyx Boox Tab, and got excited until I hear "it's also capable of draining your wallet". ohh yesss, that's why I don't have one. Thanks for the review! :)
I do wonder how long before devices like these are more mainstream, and if they're ever going to be widespread enough that these aren't considered "enthusiast" devices.
This is incredibly cheap for what you get seeing as over 11 years ago, a single screen was 1300 us So 10 years later, it's actually $100 less, and you get twice the amount of screen size
@@goodereader well I suppose if you put it like that. I'm new to the world of e ink. I just need something simple that I can load a sheet music notebook into, but also be reasonable for a student budget lol. Maybe I can find a deal on a used Kobo Elipsa or something
Thanks a lot. There was another review out there claiming that the Quaderno has only three hours battery life when writing. Is that true??? That would be TERRIBLE! It’s too bad to be true.
E-ink isn't so good with photography, even if it's in color. If you meant photos in terms of magazine consumption, I don't know of any 13.3 colored devices. Kaleido 3 13.3 was only announced last October. I think they'll come out in the middle of next year. q q
I love the tech going into these, but I still personally prefer a standard e-reader. I just hope all the future tech advancements still make their way down the line and don't just stay in the e-note devices
Im confused. Just read a review by Voya who was unimpressed with build qualjty and functionality of the quaderno, plus crap battery for a device with no back light. Yet you give it first place?
annnnnd they're STILL $1000 10 years after 13.3" e-ink first came out. When I search Amazon, here are the three 13.3" e readers that pop up: Serounder $1099 Boox: $879 Yunseity $929 They haven't come down very much if at all in 10 years. Such bullchit
The question is when the 13.3's with kaleido 3 get released?
This seems so beautiful. One day hopefully!
The Onix Boox tab X is my fave.
Looking good! I am seriously thinking of getting the boox

I saw many review that onyx doesnt last more than 2 years. Can you share your experience

I was very interested in buying this Guido. I think any musician who saw this video was drooling over this device!
Yes, the price is lower than it's ever been, and the unit is back in full swing!
@@goodereader out of stock though. Its my musician's dream come true......
I had no idea that there were e-note devices at this size. They're pretty cool but I think a bit too big for me personally.

Merry Christmas and good luck :)
Great to see the amount of high quality e notes there are nowadays.
Really tempted by this video...
The quality is pretty good for this ❤
Thanks for the video!
Best channel for e reader
Large eink screen seems nice. Wish there were some display models in my area for viewing.
Thanks for the great video
Fantastic vídeo. Thank you
Great video, tough choice which one to pick.
I love the protect your eyes feature! 😊

Does the quaderno have a backlight? Looking for smth to display music sheets and we also play at night. And the GVIDO is _E X P E N S I V E_
No backlight on quaderno:(

Look at the price tag of a 13.3 display only as a part. Your low price of a complete product is probably below the cost of a diaplay only.
Looking good!
That Gvido seems amazing!
Keep up the good work!
The Gvido makes my want to learn to play piano just for the sake of using a dual eink screen.

These all look great
Does Quaderno has Google store?
Only using our proprietary unblock service which does not affect the use of the unit, but not officially, no.
It really looks good
Is there any video on top 5 13.3 inch e notes of 2024
Nice lineup
Loving the end industry
I do wonder how long before devices like these are more mainstream, and if they're ever going to be widespread enough that these aren't considered "enthusiast" devices.
I did. 😊👍
Great reader
I could see something like as being great to have had back when I was in college.
Been looking at e-readers for music and note taking, something like the GVIDO looks great, but the prices of these things are crazy

Bought myself an Onyx Note Air 3C. Pray for me that I made the right choice.
Good video

I didn't know you could get small ones
I want an e-note.
Any Coloured good for photo?

I’m looking for a note taking device that has a feature like Grammarly for had written notes. Probably a tall ask

Id would love any of them.
13.3 does seem a little large to me but still amazing devices.
Onyx has too many e-paper products that it is difficult to know what is what... is there a difference in their firmware?
I'm not really into this size devices, but there are a pair in this video that seem really interesting 🤭🤭
How things have changed since my Sony PRS-505...
I like the huge etabs
Season's greetings tho!
Rather would like to see top ten inchers
We are planning that video soon :-)
Cool list! The Quaderno looks so nice. What about Amazon's tablet? The 300 dpi one.
That's not a 13.3, but yet that's alright
Commenting for the giveaway!
I don’t know how I feel about e-notes. For the use I make of them, I still prefer e-readers.
Interesting
Here goes nothing! Cool channel for e readers!
Yo quiero una
Yeah, the 10s seem to be the better form factor for general use, but the 13s look to have found some use cases ... kinda.
here for the FREE Sony PRS T2 e-Reader
13.3 seems unwieldy although I have no experience with them. Unless you have gigantic pockets it's not slipping in there.
Wow, these devices are getting thinner and thinner.
Giveaway, giveaway, giveaway 🎉
technology is developing fast
Anyone knowledgeable about Sony prs-600?
"no shortage" on 10.3???
It is too short -- that's the shortage!
Onyx is still the most available
hope to win the giveaway!

13.3 seems a bit too big tbh. like coffee table sized books.

No they're not. They were about 1400 USD when they came out in 2013, now you can get them as low as 700 bucks 10 years later
Thanks, amazing job!
