- Speaking on NDTV's Walk The Talk, actor Irrfan Khan said Indian cinema has evolved dramatically in the last few years and the demand for diverse cinema has been growing. Indian audiences have matured and are forcing Indian cinema to change, he said. However, he added that Bollywood has remained politically correct and directors don't make political films out of fear and vulnerability.

I consider Irfan as a great actor as well as human being ; and he is the person to have both qualities and those are very rare to be found in one person. He is very humble, unassuming, simple and always chosen films those satisfy him, rather than other considerations like Glamour, Fame, popularity, Stardom, money etc. It is very difficult to digest his untimely demise for me and all the lovers of fine cinema. And he promised Sekhar Gupta Journalist in this interview in 2016, that he would talk again to him within 4 years, but it is belied. Strange and cruel is the destiny.
