- Hong Kong's most concentrated grey market shops/dealers on one stretch of road (250metres/800ft stretch).
Blew my mind when just 1 shop had 3 different rare platinum daytonas (Arabic ,Pave, diamond baguette numerasmls)
The next time you want to shop the grey market in Hong Kong, you'll know where to go!

So much bling bling
Awesome Hong Kong watch stores.
Maybe someone should start a redit forum and convince everyone to stop buying rolex gray/secondary market. Someone is buying them at inflated prices and it keeps the bubble going.
These videos make me think that most of the hype watches are owned and traded solely amongst grey dealers and the rare end customer.
Yup. And that a reasonably high percentage of watches allocated at the AD ends up in the grey market no matter what. It’s just a matter of where the price is and original owners will let them all go
Si estimamos que se han fabricado 30 millones de relojes Rolex, sería que hay aproximadamente 230 personas por cada reloj, así que felicidades. Es un estimado...
That speedmaster in the second shop had a really good price €1900
I can watch videos on Rolex all day. Without the prices displayed this is just another video.
So are these grey market shops cheaper than the actual shop? How much cheaper?
No shortage on the grey
You’re right. Folks buy and sell here like it’s nothing
Authentic?
Good to see the watch market still lively in Hong Kong! Can’t really see the prices but am sure business is booming for these guys!
I’ve never seen this many platinum Daytonas together! So insane!!!
Yeah it’s insane man. HK is just one of those places
@@watchjelly what is the name of the shop with all those daytona platinum ice blue variants?, thanks.
Any consumer protection? As in, any recourse if you get a counterfeit? Thinking of getting mine in HK but authenticity is a concern 😅
What does Gray market refer to, is it fake watches
A trick I use when buying there is to bring any Western male colleague along with me & mention he's a jeweler back home. Especially important if buying anything Rolex for men, or Cartier for women.
Is better price to buy a watch in Macao or Hong Kong? What you suggest? Better negotiate as far those stores in Hong Kong vs Macao pawn shops . I am coming to visit both places in about two weeks . I am willing to buy a watch . Thanks
I haven’t really looked at resale watches in Macao, so I can’t really say. General rule of thumb, do your own due diligence wherever you’re at!
Thanks for the video. Is there a risk of these grey market shops selling fake Rolex intentionally or unintentionally?
Not intentionally unless they want to risk business closure, prison time, and a permanent record which strongly diminishes their chance of ever setting up a similar business again

go to wristcheck in Landmark, its more impressive than any pre own shops in HK.
hi ,
Nice video ..
Next summer I will travel between Singapore/KualaLumpur/HongKOng/BBK en Japan..In which Country will be the best place to buy A rolex ( second hand also) Thanks a lot
Don’t think there is a straightforward answer. Prices change within days! Not to mention fluctuations in foreign exchange. You could try KL or Japan but it’s really anyones guess
Obviously hongkong
rainbow daytona only 25K?
It’s probably after market
We need to be able to see the prices if you would please do that

Can we be assured if we buy from grey market? Any clues.
If you want absolute 100% certainty, that’s the AD.
For grey market - I suggest going to a dealer that is reputable and those that you trust. Make absolutely sure they are a registered business such that watches they sell you, if proven to be fake, measures can be taken to enforce the law against this. Again, depends on the city where you’re in.
But if you’re talking about sports models that are already discontinued, then this is a moot point :)
No wonder the prices are so high.. lots of pieces here
The grey market is being supplied mainly by the corrupt ADs in HK. That’s why I’ve switched out of Rolex to other brands who respect their true clients.
Blah blah blah.
Thanks for the great content! What you recon is the best to buy Rolex, HK or SG? Both in grey market and AD
AD would be HK, price wise. Grey wise it’s a toss up really
holy jesus.. that's like someones whole life savings displayed on a window LOL
There is no shortage of Rolex, just the shortage at the A.D. I would be willing to bet that the average steel Rolex spends less than 1 day at the A.D. then off to his "brother in-law" to be sold as used at grey market price.
If you think about it how do ADs survive if they sell nothing to the public. Of course they collude with the grey market to sell at hiked up prices. There are tons of Rolex in the safes.
Are you a dealer
Nope just a collector
Wow! How much is that Platinum Arabic Daytona? Thats my Dream Daytona🔥🙌🏽
Is it cheaper there to buy Rolex?
I didn’t look at it.. but I assume it’s in the 300K+ USD range for a full set
@@watchjelly Wow! I saw one on Chrono around 300k but was hoping it would be way cheaper in Asia with no tax lol
Rent in HK is insanely expensive. These guys def charge a tad more.
Only buying from an AD is cheaper without taxes
I always feel singapore is best place to buy, less chance of getting fakes ones
Let’s just say the probability of a safe purchase is higher relative to places like Hong Kong… although I stress caveat emptor always
We’re are the Clone Fake Rolex?
As long as ppl keep buying from the greys, paying over rrp for a rolex sports watch will continue on till kingdom come.
Sorry ...I know why so many people can't buy at the AD... lucky that I bought one from the AD n two from the pawn shop with a very reasonable price......Thank God 🙏 sure I don't pay so much for them
Hong Kong is what’s I’d call true first world
True first world relative to? I agree to a certain extent, but there is a lot of about HK that leaves a lot to be desired
Does grey market mean fake stuff?...
Pls Google it thanks!
@@watchjelly Anyone who believes that they are real is no different. There would be millions of values in every store and that without security measures. Not even a security. China is well known for the fakes, oh by the way then it would be clear why we cannot buy a single Rolex in Germany Europe. Unbelievable
All these Rolex watches sold buy the Rolex AD to people who’s only intention is to flip them. If you could get a Rolex watch from an authorised retailer then you wouldn’t miss out and the grey market would die because no one in their right mind would pay over retail. Why would they when they could buy one brand new from Rolex. I thought Monopolies were illegal. And Rolex, what company would deliberately not produce something someone wanted? If you want to make and sell something for someone then how about you start making them so people can get them, i.e your watches, Rolex. Maybe there needs to be another Quartz crisis and we can all say to Rolex, “Go F yourself, Rolex”.
Hahah trends usually last for several years before it changes.. honestly I think there’s quite thee fatigue when it comes to the hype brands these days. Might be a sign of things to come
Waste of money and can’t afford to drive is different😂
Looks like a lot of fakes.

Rolex are very common in Asia specifically hk, sg , Japan... they are genuine. Only in the US are they thought of as exclusive.
