@Love what about for athiests , they may be out of luck for making it to the kingdom on god but shouldnt he search for the proper way to conduct himself regardless of religion
Regardless of what or where you thought... Regardless of any decision you have ever made 👀 you were going to be right here reading this comment and listening to some beautiful energy speaking about your existence and here we are... Let go 😙
I googled the date - simply based on the way Ram Dass was talking. He sounded different to the other later talks I've listened to. You can hear from the way he talks that he is still deeply in the spirit of his Guru :)
RD's father sounds like he's a really cool dad, the kind of dad kids🤹don't even appreciate until they get more mature than they are in their hip space🚀 ship of thinking they know it all😎. B'right on, Captain🧑✈️?!
Thank you for this. I have been working so much over the last year and a half and have been away from Ram Dass for a long time. Now finally I have some time to myself and it is so good to hear this again. I still have the everyday problems and issues but I am so happy to hear this again, and it made my life better. Thank you
This is truly fantastic. It touches on so many of the challenges I have with both trying to be solemn but sometimes losing the thread about the complexities of balancing spirituality with every day life. ❤
Bad comment. Enlightenment will always be relevant as long as life exists. The only way enlightenment may seem irrelevant is the time when free will no longer exists in humanity.
@@VVVVV99611 , that's rather condescending and judgmental of you to say "bad comment." You apparently don't live in L.A. where acquiring wealth, fame, and material goods are the main objective of many, by any means necessary. Your world may be encircled with enlightened individuals in search of the truth, unfortunately, all of L.A. is not in sync with your perspective. Individual differences. I did take offense at your comment. It was demeaning and somewhat pretentious for someone presenting to know & be "enlightened".
I completely forgot that he was talking towards a point halfway through. I’ll tell ya though when he finally said what he was talking up this whole time it hit me like a truck
I’m glad these comments keep generally their head on their shoulders. It’s easy when people start fown the spiritual path to just start spouting all kinds of nonsense
At least he was musical enough to get him through his old, petulant, former guru. Being self taught as a musician means you don't need a teacher or a former guru.
Now I am able to understand more what UG Krishnamurthy tried to explain to all mankind! Many weak minds among us - no way out - more and more babas will continue to emerge!!

'theres gonna come a time where you arent gonna wanna lecture anymore " did maharaji just predict his stroke ? Straight after it he lost part of his language ability and pretty much stopped lecturing.
I didn't realize ram das had taken that much acid. Seriously massive amounts. He did not want to come down. Acid has side effects.. Wonder what he experienced??? RIP RAM DAS
Does anybody else feel like this person is so angry and just like never quite gave up his like egoic ideas of greatness? So much so that he like judges society. And I just think that's unfair because I think all of this is much bigger and larger than will ever understand and so to place a negative value on Western society is like insulting the universe's magnificent program that's playing out. It just invoked like so much existential anger that I had inside of me and I was like Jesus Christ like I don't have a problem with society anymore like holy f*** why does this dude have such a problem
The talk is 1973, 48 years before his death, so 48 years less experienced/enlighteed. RD never claimed to be perfect, he was learning like we all are, he's being self deprecating about his own ignorance and judgement.. yet here you are, negatively judging a man for his perceived negative judgement! And saying he shouldn't have recorded this because you got angry about a man you perceived to be angry. You were given lessons here, and you missed them because you were focusing on your own emotional reactions to your thoughts. Maybe listen again - without judgement, with gratitude. 😊❤
OK...you usually do a great job. But not on this one. Don't know what you were high on (and that is fine with me) but hey....maybe not a good idea to record then?
it's so funny, I found this talk especially insightful because of how light ram dass is.. I guess one man's trash is anothers treasure. Peace and love to all of you :)
If i only watch a few more videos then ill be enlightened

You are deeply loved for your beautiful artwork
1:21 his stoner laugh out of nowhere! Only made some of us love him more
It gets me every time! I just smile from ear to ear. Love him so much
I picture him saying far out as soon as he left his vessel, followed by that giggle.

Thank you 🙏🏽 #ramdass for your beautiful service and dance through life ❤
"I used to think that time was making me turn off life.. but I realised that time is merely making me turn off my desires" - This helped me alot.
Thanks for this. Ram ram

His laughter brings me such joy. Thank you for uploading these talks.

I got goose bumps when I read that. Thank you

His laughter is so contagious
Exquisitely spoken in a quiet way, with humor. Thank you.

At 24:24 something weird happens in this recording. It kinda freaked me out. Did anyone else notice that?
This was recorded onto a tape that could have easily been damaged.
Does anyone know if this was at Naropa Institute in Boulder, CO? If so, I was there and it still is a highlight of my life.
At least he was musical enough to get him through his old, petulant, former guru.

I wonder what he would say now about this great reset of the system.
He's quite optimistic!
who speaks @24:25?
Satan
Maybe it was the kind of tape that you can record over again, so possibly a technical glitch

Sounds like he’s tripping real hard when he has those loud exhales and deep swallows between sentences

Timothy Leary was his mate. Acid is healthier than alcohol ect. Telepathy is one of the cooler side effects between the group who's on the same trip.
He had a long and exponentially wonderful life. He has a prolific amount of talks and books denoting his life.

Whenever he says it's my Guru I wonder what makes the guru his ?
