Loved these games as a kid- I just remembered this part of my childhood and I think I might get the game again for nostalgia's sake. Haven't played it in over a decade, but I remembered it was tons of fun and really addictive. :)

I play WC III : Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne in my childhood. But forget it was third version, and never think there were 1st and 2nd version of it.

I played Warcraft I: Orcs and Humans when it first came out in 1994. Now I re-purchased the same thing off of Good Old Games and I still play it to this day! I have loved the Warcraft RTS series since it first began. Yes, I'm still one of those hopeless people that wishes Warcraft 4 would happen some day, even though I know it will probably never happen.

Oh it will happen, we'll just have to wait until World of Warcraft dies out so they can reboot the series and continue from where Warcraft 3 ended. Starcraft 2 is also becoming less popular, and Warcraft 4 will be the next big thing in RTS to replace it.

Started playing wc3 and fell in love. Looking back it feels like every unit in wc1 and wc2 was on bloodlust 24/7. Fucking attack speed is wild lol
yep, wc2 is more aggressive. Also the navy is much better. In wc3 it's practically dead, unfortunately.

IT DOES. I want a World of War Craft bases real time strategy game with all the lore from start to finish as such with the 1st person interface option too. Imagine the sheer amount of mechanics that could be had due to the sheer amount of power remaining due to the classic graphics differential.
Now imagine even selecting a classic style depiction to go with the classic graphics depiction so that it remains exactly as the 1st one in every way.....

Warcraft 3 just was too complex. I didn't care about most of the lore, and the troops are WAY too tanky. War2 is tough. You need a ton of troops and its hectic with catapults destroying the enemy and you alike, paladins frantically healing their wounded comrades, archers shooting down your dragons, your destroyers bombing all those who venture to the shore... good times

Warcraft one is the first DnD Video game my dad introduced to me. After my dad realized my interest for the game, he introduced me to "Tides of Darkness." Soon my brothers were interested, so you want to know what he did? He drove around our parish looking for the old DELL computers that people were throwing away. He collected about 50 PC's and monitors to play on. THEN, He spent at least 1 hour on each of those computers wiping their memory and and downloading "Tides of Darkness" on them. OH, He also added the X-Wing V.S. Tie-Fighter game. My dad is THE BEST. #DadGreatness

I still remember in my country there was lots of computer halls with internet and pirate games like Warcraft III, Grand theft auto, Dota, Counter strike and Half life. Prices were 1 sol per hour and you could have like coupons if you had 5 hours in a week the owner would give you 1 hour for free I think

Lol. Warcraft 1 was my jam when I was like 10. I remember a couple years later I fired up 2 the first time and got all confused cuz I couldn’t make a path with my peons or even build walls to defend my base. Took me like 2 minutes to realize I could build without having a path connected to them lol

W1 was okay and when W2 came out ut was such a huge leap in terms of improvement game, story and graphics wise that I kept playing it over and over without getting tired. Till this day I still cherish W2. Wish I could have delved to W3 as well but oh well College happened 😅.

I think WC2 had the most "Warcraft-ish" feel. It was brutal, it was over the top. WC3 had some of that over saturated colors of WC2, but with the blocky graphics it wasn't the best. What I don't like in Reforged is that it has this watery color scheme... -Where are those strong greens of WC2 or the lovable round trees (at least from the default angle) and those lush patches of grass from WC3?
Yeah, I didn't like the 'hero' units in WC3. It made combat too much about controlling them and not enough about controlling basic units for my tastes.

The first Warcraft I played was Warcraft 2 on the Playstation. I loved it but hated how slow the game got in the later missions when there was too many units on the screen.

They said they're remaking the level design but the story is the same and stay true to the original. They haven't really given us any news at all for over half a year now so I wouldn't keep my expectations too high, they're probably struggling with making their new platform work as intended and realizing the majority of popular custom games use custom assets meaning they will be unplayable in warcraft reforged.
I hope they can fix the bug that your troops sometimes lag if you have too many

WTF. In one year the graphics and gameplay of 1 and 2 are noticeable. WC3 was amazing, but evened out by the wait. Reforged was a hell of a lot longer and barely a noticeable difference.

Greedisgood (any number) - gives you gold and wood.
Iseedeadpeople -allows you to see the whole map.
Thereisnospoon -all units with mana will be able to cast spells without using up mana, spells like manaburn won't burn and destroy any mana.

Some games work better in 2D. Warcraft 2 is by far the best in the series, and one of the best strategy games of all-time. So addictive though, won't recommend if you have other shit to do.
