I dont use sticks anymore, i rappel from a hot air balloon 12 yards downwind of the one fittyyyss bed!! Great video as always man!! Good luck to ya guys
Hey Greg. I need little help I can't find a dealer in my area. I live in Tioga county. I don't have a lot of archery place in my area. I hope you can help me. Be safe this year in the woods
I've been eating up every saddle setup video I can find, greatly appreciate you sharing! I am curious though, because I asked via an email and was told you don't recommend removing the shrink tube on the lineman's rope, which makes sense. But all the pros girth hitch the lineman rope, which is what I would like to do. How do you suggest girth hitching?
Fellow GA boy, I was lookin for something like this. Part of the fun of saddle hunting is the constant tweaking to try to perfect the art imo, always interested in the ways other people do it. Carrying your stick in is something I just stole, I always see people doing this and I think why wouldn't you just use the pack -- neve thought about the noise factor or taking off the pack and putting it back on.
Question on sore feet from leaning feet on edge of platform the edge sits right in the arches so they get very sore first year saddle hunting and love the crap out of it so far except for the foot issue
Do you rappel down or go down with your sticks and aider? You could potentially get rid of 2 sticks, save 2 pounds, but then add another 2 by getting 40 foot of rappel rope and friction device. I guess it would be about the same weight but you wouldn't have to come down on the aider and sticks in the dark? Thanks for the vid. I enjoy getting ideas from other people. Going into my second year with the phantom. I do like it. Tom
Did my first sit with your phantom saddle and standard predator platform. Being new to saddle hunting and having back issues...I will be honest I was skeptical...but man was I surprised. I didn't see a single deer yet had an amazing time, and was very comfortable. Everything about your products is far and above most of stuff on the market IMO. BTW fantastic job with the ONE sticks.....I wont be buying anything but ONE stick s here on out.
Only thing I would change is I’d get ya a Doyle’s gear hoist and put it on your back pack instead of messing with rope in your pouch every time. I got one last year and used it all seAson, can’t say enough about how easy and simple it is to use! Thanks for the video!
I secure my sticks together like you do when you walk in but I tied paracord loops to the top stick and I stole a shoulder strap off an old duffel bag that I clip that on to those loops. Hands free, you can move the sticks in front or behind you if you have to walk through some tight areas. I also use some gear ties and tie my predator platform right to the side of those sticks so I can carry all of that in one piece over my shoulder. Once I get to the tree I take the platform off the sticks and secure it to my saddle just like you do to climb.

Nice.
Man, I gotta up my game. I'm like a drunk bear climbing up the tree.
When I saw that that flashed text said "with heels on" I absolutely died!
I had to go back and pause to read it.
Glad somebody caught that hahahaha!
I hate Jared.
Can’t wait until the sticks are available again!
Thanks for the video. Great info, looking forward to trying my saddle this year
Love the with heels on blip at 6:49 mins!

I can't detach the sticks without clanking or cutting my hand. How did he do that!?
I know this video is old, but it’s exactly what I needed to see.
Can we get a breakdown on the pack you are running and any mods you've done to it?

It's pretty simple to do even with the shrink tube. Just feed the free end through the loop. It'll work just fine.
@@G2Outdoors the tube is too long and doesn't sink tight. Maybe I'll try again, maybe i can curl it and reheat the tube
What the climbing sticks you used
Love the explanation they presented everything very clearly appreciate you sharing
With heels on 🤣🤣🤣🤣
*with heels on* 👠 😅
🤣 with heels on

10 minute video and no set up example. Ok. i’m 6 mins from bottom of tree to set up. Just set up already

Steal shanks in a good boot should help with that.
Yup. That's a thing. You'll get used to it. A stiff boot does help though.
Angle the platform. Really helps me. Don’t let it be a 90° off tree.
With heels on 🤣
Shut up Matt 🤣🤣
I missed what that elastic cord connector thing is that you use to strap your climbing stick to your saddle when you climb.

Tom
I know tethrd does not officially make or offer that aider, but where did you get it?
Just watched video, what are you using on the bottom of your sticks to wrap your stick rope up? Something we can purchase?
Great video, thanks again for sharing! Where did you get your aider from?
Having a process/system is paramount.
Very interesting information. Thanks for showing us how you do it.
Do you have a link to the fishing tackle clip you used?
That was a helpful video. Thanks Greg.
I like that adder how did you make that?
are y’all gonna start selling that aider
How high do you normally climb?
Is there a reason you gut your paracord?

Rock on!
How tall are those heels?
8”
Lolololol
Hey Greg. What kind of clip was that yellow one on the back of your saddle that you attach the predator platform to? Great idea.
Did you figure out what clip it was?
6:48 Hahaha
Man, I have looked for one of those coin pouches for milkweed with no success. Where did you find one?
Same here I cant find one either
Butterfly Effect is where those came from
Are y'all going to come out with the same stick but with a much bigger standoff? You have to put your feet out like a duck with those
Nope. Standoff isn't changing. We're more concerned with weight and bulk than foot comfort for the One sticks. They're a Ferrari, not a Cadillac.
you might be hunting too large of a tree?

I tell him that all the time....he ain’t too bright!! 🤣
Everyone uses the Doyle's except me. I'm just stuck in my ways.
Awesome video, what first lite top is that?
It's a Klamath that I sewed a kangaroo pocket on. I'm a DIY nerd.
I use the same clip to hold my stick on my hip but I just stick my standoff or steps through the bunji cord loop and let it hang.
What clip is that
Where can you find a clip like that?
@@novahunter7566 I'm not sure what they are called. Just search molle clips on Amazon.

Great plan. I've considered slinging my sticks like that. Maybe I'll give it a try.
