    Personally, i feel like the tether should be attached before climbing onto a platform. The linesman belt isnt going to help you if the platform fails or you slip off.

    • @whitetaildna
      @whitetaildna  4 месяца назад +2

      That’s a good point!

      The lineman’s belt will most likely keep you from falling all the way down the tree…but it will hurt…a lot…

    Good video. Would you be able to tell me what accessories /brands / make / model etc you are using to pull your bow up and to strap your sticks to you. Thank you.

    I do my climb using the same process with 3 HH 33" sticks with 18" coated wire loops on the bottom steps. I always get 20-22 feet high.

      do the math you can stack those end to end and be 8ft. add in aiders and the gaps between sticks you can get 20ft no problem.

    Question. On your a steps. The Amsteel rope. Do you have a prusik cord tied to rope them use the loop for the button? If so are the steps more secure like that versus the cinch strap that comes with some?

    I was gonna prep few trees and have bow rope already hanging so when I get there I can just tie it off but how's a good way if a guy doesn't have a rope prehung

    What heigth do you get with 3 sticks? Is that the normal heigth you hunt at?

    • @whitetaildna
      @whitetaildna  10 месяцев назад +2

      We hunt based on the cover the tree provides. Typically it’s 3-4 sticks high and it varies from about 15-20ft in most cases. We did 3 sticks for the video simply for demonstration purposes!

    There have been so many videos on this. None of them tell you how heavy their packs are with everything. Like trying to solo film with all your camera gear, sticks, platform, water/food, extra clothes. Is it like 30 lbs?

    • @whitetaildna
      @whitetaildna  Месяц назад +1

      I’ve never weighed it, but yes pack is heavy as heck but I will say the majority of the weight is coming from our camera gear
