@ 19:44 "The beginning was simple, almost comical...just a pulse...like a rusty squeezebox. And then...suddenly!...high above it...an oboe. A single note, unwavering...until a clarinet took it over, sweetened it into a phrase of such delight!" A exceptional performance, thank you!

Many congratulations to the all musicians & Colonel Fettig for this performance. Magnificently done, and without a score too. A movie fun fact. Most people know this from the 3rd movement (Adagio), from Amadeus with Salieri holding a score. But, the 2nd movement has also appeared in the Dystopian movie Soylent Green. When our 2 heroes are having a dinner meal in their flat, using the acquired food from the crime scene our hero was investigating. Once again, Bravo one and all for this magnificent performance. Semper fi.
This piece of music can be challenging in places, not every group can perform it well. Your intonation, timing is spot on. What sets you above the others is the dynamics. Lots of conductors fail to incorporate this into the music even though it is marked. Colonel, you and your group would make Mozart proud.
Beautiful. I appreciate the subtle liberties taken by the first oboist and the first clarinetist. The second clarinetist has some challenging work as well! Can someone explain to me why I SEE the trill at 20:29 but I can’t hear it?
Yes, although I heard it. The trill involves the 2 weakest notes on the clarinet, in terms of tone, and has also just been playing in the strongest register and just there drops into the softest register, so also makes it hard to hear. This happens while the 2nd oboe is playing a background pattern in the strong part of their instrument, not necessarily too loudly, but it just carries better right there than those weak clarinet notes do.

Gorgeous! Col. Fettig, a masterful performance! I must single out the double-bass playing, so musically sensative--!
Excellent! Congratulation!
Wonderful! Thank you
Another lovely performance! The players seem to have a great appreciation for the music - the balance and color is just top notch. Thank you!
I will say that this performance is superior to all of the hundreds I've heard in my 83 years.
