My ends always got dried out and frizzy even if they weren’t split. I never knew you could re-wet the hair when you’re blow drying! I can’t wait to try this technique
Please can you explain the rationale for rewetting when it will be blow dried, seems counterproductive? Not a criticism, love your work but I just don't get it.
@@camsmith931 Yes, if the hair is dried out from the inside of the strands while blow drying, it'll frizz up after flat ironing. By adding moisture back in where you see you've blow dried it out a little too much, it opens the hair shaft back up to smooth the cuticle so that the moisture is sealed back in.
just got my hair silk pressed today ,and I like how my hair is the same length and texture as the client that gives me a idea of how long my hair would be once pressed out
Hey love, I have 4C high porosity hair & I haven’t had a silk press in years as well. I just bought all of the products you mentioned & I’m gonna try it out, Thanks!
Why did you change products from your last video? I just did mines and my daughter hair using the other products and it came out great! We both have 4c hair.. but I work in a factory with no air and my hair is still straight from last week. Thanks for all your help with 4c ladies ❤️🙏🏾
I sometimes like to mix and match my products from time to time to try out other things on the market. That's how I'm able to recommend you all so many different choices to choose from that I know will work well. Thank you so much for watching 🤎
I bought all the products. Planning to try soon. Id if you're taking requests, if you are, can you do a perm rod set on 4c hair? Your videos are really thorough and educational but straight to the point. Wishing you much success!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I still.not able to get it perfect like yours but u have taught me something new. I was thinking that I might have to give up on this cuz I notice that my hands are getting damage from the heat. Not sure if am not using the right products or what I live in jamaica so we don't have a wide variety of hair products
@@Nadashab Cantu moisturizer, hair ecstasy silicone heat protect, and fantasia argan oil smoothing serum. The only line that I can get fully is the cantu
I always needed a hot comb for my roots…by the time I walk to the car my hair would start to fluff up. She has tons of body but my hair would frizz in a warm car ASAP.
My hair did that too but if you do these steps and make sure you keep each area tied up while blowing drying it’s true that means there is not enough product on your hair or a step was missed
I couldn’t find a very recent video, so I’m not sure if you’ll see this message. In a previous video, with your sister, you used the Moroccanoil leave in. Do you know if that brand was once packaged in all brown bottles and containers? A Moroccanoil finishing spray was the best thing I ever found for maintaining a silk press. I think they just repackaged, but I haven’t been able to confirm.
Thank you so much for the tips! I have super thick color treated low-mid porosity hair and I might get 20 minutes of smooth hair between sections before I revert. Are there any lower cost products u recommend? I know sometimes u gotta spend a little more for quality, but Im on a tight budget😅. I was looking at the design essentials moisturizing hair bath to use after the keracare. Any thoughts on that one? If you can think of any cheaper leave ins that would be much appreciated too! Im trying to save a little money by doing my own hair for graduation next month. Thanks again for the tutorials!
Hi darling, I love your video. I need your help. For the first time. I am going to silk press my type 4 hair. I did my research. I purchased serum heat protectant and anti humidity spray. My question is how do I go about this silk press I have týmò straightener brush and a blow dryer brush tell me step by step what to do. God bless. Thanks
I have 4C hair too and I have a question about specific products. Can I use a leave in, ogx silk blowout quick drying thermal spray, and ogx Silk Blowout Thermal Primer Cream? Does it matter if the thermal spray is quick drying?
Hii I tried it and I did a pretty good job, really surprised myself. .. how do I keep the hair straight? 😅 like I blow dried and straightened and it looked perfect but then I wanted to try the Dyson Supersonic flyaway attachment and it made it fluffy. I probably used it wrong. Also, do I need hairspray
Her wet hair is so pretty! Wow. Also it’s nice to see a stylist comb nappy hair out from the ends first. There are stylists who don’t know this which is frustrating. It seems like common sense especially for Black professionals. Great video!
Thank you and it is not basically a blow out. If it were a blow out, there would’ve been no heating tool followed behind it to straighten it. It is called a silk press due to the professional products used to press it out as well as the technique and methods used to help to keep it straight for 2-3 weeks w/o the use of chemicals.
I absolutely love my hair!! It feels super healthy 😩🖤
Let them know boo 😘🫶🏾 so happy you love it!

For my clients I recently started blow drying from the front, middle then back. That helps with the water dripping from about wet section
That’s a great idea! I never thought of that!
That's What I started doing to myself, too!

Excited to try this out!
After you press the hair what products would you recommend to help with shine and control of frizz? I live in a very dry area. Thank you.
After you press your hair out, I honestly don’t recommend using any products besides a dime sized amount of the super skinny serum.

I’m sorry it was the video from a year ago! I still appreciate it!

Would aloe vera water be a good option to keep the hair hydrated while blow drying?

Hi Natasha, can you use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny serum on dry hair, for instance, when I want to style my hair later?
I am sorry, I did not spell your name correct.

Hey Sophia. I’m not familiar with any of those, so I can’t tell you how to use them to get the same results as shown in the video.
Great job!

yes!

What temperature do you use flat iron?
Always between 390-400. In this video, it’s on 400.
Where are you located and how do I schedule an appointment?
I’m in San Antonio. I don’t do hair anymore unfortunately, only for content for you guys 🖤
Do you take other clients?? I’m a 4c and can’t straighten my hair for nothing. 😭

How much water for the water bottle
If you do half of a bottle, do 6-8 pumps of leave in conditioner and then shake it up to mix it. If you do a full bottle, do 15-18 pumps of leave in .
how much to do a 24inch jet black buss down??
I want your entire scalp!!! Can you make that happen?
