- See how I upholstered this $25 bench from an estate sale that I bought about 4 years ago but had left unfinished for YEARS! I just added a cushion to a bench my mom gave me. I was feeling pretty confident that I'd done a good job as it's kinda my first piece I've ever reupholstered. Then I see this... Makes me want to throw it all away lol This looks amazing!

Hi, Karen! I couldn't believe that I had the fabric on hand, too! I had bought it years ago from New York, like maybe 6 years ago, and I just hoarded it. I almost through it out earlier this year (donated it, that is), but hubby went into the donation pile and salvaged it without my knowledge. LOL. So the other day I was like, "Oh man, I need fabric ASAP!!" And he pulled out the stash he salvaged. How perfect was that?? :) Thank you!
Way to go hubby! That turned out great that he did that. When stuff happens like that with my husband and I we always say that's why were are made for each other, lol. The other one has your back even when you don't realize they do! Awesome job on the bench its beautiful. :-)

do you always need to do a trim when rehupolstering(spelling?)? I want to try to rehupolster an old chair.of mine, its brown and green and I would love to give it an updated look.
Not ALWAYS, but it really depends on the chair. Most times the trim is applied to cover the staples.

I had a booth once but it was a LOT of work finding enough to stock it. By the time I paid rent, there wasnt much left over. Happy when I got rid of the booth! Lol
