I feel like this happens to Kolohe all the time. He surfs like an absolute monster, gets a ton more waves than everyone else and still loses. Controversial....
i agree its frustrating to see as a fan of kolohe, but wave selection is important. And john may have had more mistakes and less waves, but his top two waves were bigger and better than kolohes, and thats what it comes down to
im a big jjf fan but kolohe got cheated, he surfed that so well
No ones talking about connor o leary's backhand cracks but man those were friggin proper

Ale 1914 depende... Essa do tubo creio eu que os juízes priorizaram bastante pois essa tapa de Portugal é considerada a de super-tubos, e a condição do mar que estava na hora dessa bateria não tinha muitas ondas que abriam para os tubos.. e ele foi o único a conseguir encaixar esse tubinho nesta bateria, por isso eu acho que a nota foi tão valorizada desse jeito

John's final wave was not a 7...... maybe a 6 over scored af
michael cramer I believe that because the stage is called super tubes, and John was the only one to find a tube in the battery, they prioritized this, because the waves at the moment they were intermediate and was a tube difficult to catch although it was not 15 Feet equal in Pipe

I'll say it again. Jj got one air reverse and one tube.. Andino got like 4 air reverses and more turns. How does he not win this heat... Political incorrectly judged.... Bull shit. World champ! ANDINO. YOU WILL SEE!!!?
William Hanley Because you get scored on 2 waves & not all airs/turns are equal....
Andino’s waves were consistently smaller, meaning his turns are slower/less powerful & score less comparatively. His big air was massive, but the others were smaller punts (by pro standards) and on littler waves.
People seem to turn a blind eye to the wave size/conditions when their fav surfer loses.. On a day like this where nobody is getting good barrels a long clean one on a big set is always going to score high.
John sometimes gets overscored imo (often against my fav - Jordy) & I like Andino, but he got beaten fair and square here.
Go and get your brains checked. andino dominted that heat hands down. Pathetic judging to say the least. Of I we're Andino i would be furious
This was the most unfair heat 8 have ever seen. Again. Andino destroyed John in this match up. How they scored john in some of these waves. I would be so pissed off I was andino. He won by 2 full scores. Politics!

Andino is such a kook, I get he was chaffed about the score but he has been the biggest claimer of the contest. Like at first it was kind of funny I guess but this bro has taken it to far.
He's pissed. What more does he have to do. Everyone knows he wone that heat by miles. He dominated in every way. That was bullshit . San Clemente boy was outstanding in that heat. They scored jj with absurd numbers. It was so obvious. Nothing against jj surfing but he didn't cut it to win that time. I'm so mad
@@williamhanley7031 damn this is a old heat lol I still think JJ deserved the win. It was close but that last wave was a full point better than any other in the heat. As far as the claim shit it’s been long enough I don’t remember. Must’ve been going on the whole event
