Holland and Thompson are both great on D and are going to be core pieces of this team. I think it isn’t even as far out as you think. They need to join Beasley and THJ in the breakfast shooting club and work with Vinson and I think we see returns as soon as the end of this season or next year. Holland needs to work on his temper. This is the second time in this short season I’ve seen him ready to throw down. We don’t want him missing games with suspensions or getting a bad rep. The idea of playing Cade, Ivey/Beasley, Ausar, Holland, and Stewart together is intriguing. I think the D could be smothering. The offense would have to change to a lot of motion and off ball screens to create lanes to the hoop and not rely as much on jump shooting, but it could work and would be something I’d like to see them try with Ausar and Ronald anyhow.
Holland is a project who is years away from starting. Ausar is so good on defense he is worth investing in a stretch center. That's why I wanted to trade Duren last January and draft Kel'el Ware when a top option didn't fall to us. Clingan would have been an upgrade over Duren, but still a bad fit with Ausar.
@@cordelldemattei5446 right now teams refuse to close out on either of them. Until they prove they can hurt them, teams will continue to clog the lane and play 4 on 5. I’ve been trying to tell you guys since mid summer what I’m doing with Duren if I’m Trajan. Im sorry I just don’t see no improvement at all in his game whatsoever. He’s not gonna be what you guys seem to believe I’m sorry. Smh
Starting lineup if healthy. Then rotate as coaching is needed 1. Cade 2. Beasly 3. THJ - Really don't want him starting but who else for spacing 4. Thompson 5. Duren (if he wants to play)
You spelled Stew wrong. (Duren fucking blows, he should not be starting....unless you are trying to lose on purpose, which they are, he's awesome for that!)
They can't shoot stop foolin yourself. After Duren said he didn't try last year during the most embarrassing season in history, it was clear then. Time to make trades.
Have you looked into the net rating of this 5-man lineup? Duren - Tobi - Beasley - Ivey - Cade? It has a +26 net rating, as seen in the official nba website. Could it be that Duren is being brought down by THJ, since they are probably playing a lot of minutes together? if you took out Beasley and swapped him for THJ, the net rating is a -4.0. Do you guys have any other reference?
Beasley has been better than THJ. But if you start him THJ becomes the third guard and just as many minutes. They key is deciding Ausar role then adjusting the rest
The refs were bad, but the out of bounds play was straight forward. It bounced off of Cade’s toe and hit the ref’s leg. The leg it hit was in bounds, but their other foot was out of bounds making it out with Cade last touching it. What happened after that does not matter.
One word for the team: inconsistency. We beat Miami twice and lost to the hornets twice we still trying to figure things out. Play in at best Playoffs no.
The refs obviously have never taken boxing or any other self-defense classes. Holland raised his fists in a defensive stance. If someone is swingn' on you, you're supposed to put your hands up in a defensive stance. SMH for the ejection!
On the defense, I’m not sure it would have mattered this game because the Jazz just couldn’t miss in the first quarter. They were going to hit no matter what. They came back down to earth and the game got close. No one should have ever expected any D from THJ. He played D over his head earlier in the season and now we are expecting to see it. He should not be a starter because of his D. Tobias will not be the same player he was with Embiid’s gravity pulling bigs away until we get a real big threat, Duren isn’t it so far. Duren needs to go to the bench. He hasn’t developed and there has been no consequence as he has kept his starting job. His biggest problem is between his ears, not his physical abilities. Maybe going to the bench will get through his thick head and make him realize he has to come in motivated and work on his weaknesses. If there are no consequences there will be no change. Maybe they should also start talking contracts to add motivation. And while we do love Holland so far, imagine having Clingan as an anchor in the middle of the D.
Extending Duren is a disaster waiting to happen. The era of rebounding roll men with average defense is over. And Duren needs serious improvement to be average on defense.
@@pheralanpathfinder4897 which is why I said start contract talks: so he can see how low his value is if he doesn’t start consistently staying focused and improving.

You can't even get a seat at the table should there be a Lauri sweepstakes: this team is still hopelessly fucked with no assets whatsoever because of Weaver's disastrous reign of error.
The lane was completely clogged. Beasley shot threes, he didn’t need to get in the lane. Utah put Kessler on Ausar and refused to close out on Ausar. @@cordelldemattei5446 Grear to hear😎
Its far .
@ why do you think that? One is a rookie and one has less than a season under his belt. I bet they improve rapidly with what they have shown already.
It usually takes a couple games for each team to actually see it where they’ll actually start thinking about closing out on them. That alone takes a season. They are both still shooting air balls so I doubt that happens anytime soon.
@@cordelldemattei5446
We need a big body and a second scorer. They arent on a team.
We have the supporting cast, I agree on that, but that big move needs to happen.
Tobias is just there to collect his paycheck, not to play defense or offense
what do u think of John Collins/Rob Williams/Okongwu/Queta
Meh; so constantly injured he might as well retire; short; meh.
I’ve been trying to tell you guys since mid summer what I’m doing with Duren if I’m Trajan. Im sorry I just don’t see no improvement at all in his game whatsoever. He’s not gonna be what you guys seem to believe I’m sorry. Smh
Yea, he fucking blows. Agreed!
Starting lineup if healthy. Then rotate as coaching is needed
1. Cade
2. Beasly
3. THJ - Really don't want him starting but who else for spacing
4. Thompson
5. Duren (if he wants to play)
Trading Ivey or just having him and Malik play the same minutes with a different player getting the glory?
Personally I would start Tobias over THJ
No, Duren is trash. Watch him closely.
(There is a lot of noise in the lineup data in addition to the samples being small.)
What’s the sample size of that lineup
Beasley has been better than THJ. But if you start him THJ becomes the third guard and just as many minutes.
They key is deciding Ausar role then adjusting the rest

Duren is a total bum. That’s just what it is.
JB had his team ready from the jump!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!
The refs were bad, but the out of bounds play was straight forward. It bounced off of Cade’s toe and hit the ref’s leg. The leg it hit was in bounds, but their other foot was out of bounds making it out with Cade last touching it. What happened after that does not matter.
19 threes is crazy
Lesser twin ruins teams offensive flow
@@Scott23-q4b They're tanking, and Ausar is Cade's most important teammate.
Paul Reed played very well last year for Philly when Embid was out ...FACT!!! Someone should have told JB!!!!
Or told Weaver to trade Duren last January....
Oh wait I said that
Can we flip Duren for Kessler 😂
Nope! Nobody is gonna want Duren, he's a bum.

I’m convinced. Tobias is washed. He’s not the same player. I thought he would snap out of it. We’re 28 games in. He’s washed.

The fact that we do have our first round pick...top 13 protected...it makes you wonder in a draft like this if Pistons may make that pick available but protect it 1 thru 4! just in case you win a lottery ball..because this draft has a pretty significant drop-off after the top 5 or 6! if Det wins in the 30 +neighborhood that would put you outside the top 7/8 lottery slot!
