I wasn't sure about the stepside for this year F100 at first but it grew on me. There are just enough curves in the front half of the truck to make the stepside not look like it is on the wrong truck. I guess when you get old you can't help but be old school!
I have had fun working on it. I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun driving it too. A couple electrical refinements and a new set of wheels/tires is all we have left to get her on the road. Just gotta save up a little more cash.
@@C3KPaddock Sadly, I had to give mine away around 25 years ago.. originally bought it for $300 on the side of the road. I love the dashes in those trucks. Never let it go!
👍I must be the only one w/ a “barn find” the timing chain is stretched to high heaven. Block full of rust w/ no freeze out plugs left. Trans is cooked, every seal and gasket blown. Guess it’s just me. Good video. (SUBd)
What a live mouse ??? call PETA! but seriously I'd be one happy camper owning this oldie, my Dad owned a 57 Belair but he was a Ford man in reality he even owned a caddy and a terraplane . But his econoline pick up became one for collectors .
The mouse was not hurt in the recovery of this truck or the filming. We just relocated him about 6 hours away, unless he bailed at our lunch stop. Never saw him again after that day.
It was actually in the barn since 2007. The last time they started it was 5 years before we filmed the video. They parked it there when a shop stopped working on it and it never left the barn since then. When they decided to move they told me I could have anything in the barns, so we grabbed it. Seemed like a "barn find" to me, but everyone can make their own decision.
I'm not an expert, but what I see looking around on the internet is that it is an F-100. Looks like they even had a Mercury version labeled an M-100. Maybe there is a Ford expert out there that can give us a definitive answer?
That is one fine find! I wish that I could find one like that! FE 4 barrel makes it even better.
I like how the Ford towing it is the same color.
Nice truck!
thanks
Wow I love the color! So beautiful.
Me too!!
That's a Beauty! Love the sidestep, old school mecanic is my fave!!

🤣🤣🤣, we all don't seem to have the same kinda luck, do we? I'm right there with you!
Thank you for the sub and good luck on your "barn find"
Nice truck
Thanks 👍
Needs some TLC then should be good. Is the FE a 352?
Yes it is a 352. It was purchased as a rebuilt crate motor about 15 years ago but has less than a 1,000 miles on it.
Always pour marvel mystery oil in cylinders before starting any engine that has sat for years
I do have a 1961,292 cc 4x4.
How old is that Ford? I love old trucks with the fenders outside the box. Make it run! Nice video.
It is a 1966

Que máquina....
Will this pickup be up for sale
No we don't plan on it.
Bad gas in the tank. Remove tank, clean or replace. Probably easier to replace.
Is it really a “barn yard find” if it was in your grandparents garage for the last 5 years?
It was actually in the barn since 2007. The last time they started it was 5 years before we filmed the video. $ FOR SALE
Not the plan any time soon. Got to get it running and have some fun before I think about selling it.
Badge should just say Ford 100. Was it actually considered an F100 or just 100?
