I just watched your video of all the cars you own! I love them all! Wow a 429 in that thunderbird! That will be great in your Torino! I had a 71 white Torino with a 351 W and a c6! It got wrecked! Loved that car. I have a 68 fastback mustang with a 289. I’ve had it since I was 16. Had 2 ford pick ups, I sold them, really wish I did not! Love old fords! I’ll be watching. You keep on keeping on brother, ignore the haters!
I have a 66 f-100 also but am not too great with mechanic knowledge so I have a lot to learn. I can do simple stuff like hoses and filters, oil change, even brakes but never points or carburetors. I put a new starter on and also an ignition switch and new signal wires but thats the extent of my ability. Now I have a hard time getting around and getting under it is not too easy these days. It is a daily driver though😁
Points are pretty simple. Carburetors can be a little more complicated. I recommend checking out thunderjead289 and junkyard digs here on RUclips. Lots of helpful information in their videos. Thunderhead289 knows everything about carburetors and has lots of videos about them. Thanks for subscribing and watching my videos.
Enjoyed your video! I also have a '66 that has been sitting since 1998 that i plan on trying to revive soon! Your video gave me hope that it could be done.
@@autosalvage lol, well, I don’t need too many more. I currently have 6 projects, 3 donors, a daily driver, and I’ve got my eye on another F100 I’m hoping to get. If you’ve got a classic musclecar or old F100 I might be interested, but I’m trying to get my addiction to rust under control. LOL
If you paid attention you would hear me say I put a battery on it and it wouldn’t do much to start with. It took a while for the starter to free up and I had to clean points and get a couple wires to make good connections,
Moisture over the years can work it’s way through the exhaust or carburetor and intake and get in the cylinders through open valves. Engines can lock up even faster if the plugs have been removed or if the head gaskets are bad. The reason older engines with lots of wear don’t normally lock up as bad is because of carbon buildup and oil coating the cylinders and valves. Normally it’s the cylinders and rings that rust and lockup, but the valve train can lock up too.
I don’t know the story on the engine. I’m pretty sure it has been changed. I know the transmission has been changed since it originally had a 3 on the tree
Welcome man I been watching you on tiktok for a while glad to see some of my friends are starting up youtube channels check out my content if you want buddy have a great day
Sorry about that. I’m still new to making videos. Sound should improve soon. I’ve got a new wireless microphone now and hopefully I’ll get used to using it in the next couple of videos.

Just wondering what usually makes the engine lock up?
Moisture over the years can work it’s way through the exhaust or carburetor and intake and get in the cylinders through open valves. Engines can lock up even faster if the plugs have been removed or if the head gaskets are bad. The reason older engines with lots of wear don’t normally lock up as bad is because of carbon buildup and oil coating the cylinders and valves. Normally it’s the cylinders and rings that rust and lockup, but the valve train can lock up too.
Also, if the is lots of water in the oil pan long enough the crankshaft and main bearings can lockup too
If water got in the engine and rusted it up
ya cant keep a good F,E down ...looks like the intake is a 64 or older
I don’t know the story on the engine. I’m pretty sure it has been changed. I know the transmission has been changed since it originally had a 3 on the tree
Personally I blame squirrels
