Ive owned this guitar for two months now, this is a lifetime guitar for me. It’s the most satisfying guitar I own. A quick thirty minute practice session turns into 3 hours. It just wants to be played, and I can’t help but pick it up whenever I have free time.
This is the most helpful review of this guitar I've seen. I was on the fence (I don't love the way it looks, but I love the tones of the man whose name is on the headstock, and I'm looking for something new and different in this price range), and you're definitely selling me. Thanks, Tom!
Wow this sounds amazing ! Thanks for reviewing this. BC is my favourite guitar player and one of the best of generation X. Too bad you didn’t rip a quick pumpkins riff. The overdrive sounds so good you really displayed this guitar well.
I’ve owned one of these for almost a year now and even up against my vintage 82 Stratocaster and my 71 Les Paul Gold top and a whole host of other really great guitars it is the best both in terms of playability and at tone.. The bass contour is just remarkable with the tiniest touch on the dial you can add the weight or take it out so much easier than trying to do it in your recording set up. HOWEVER!!!!!! Been warned if you go for the white version as I did as it has gone yellow in less than six months. I’m all for the vintage vibe but I didn’t buy a white guitar to end up with something that looked like it had been in a room with Chainsmokers for 10 years! Reverend are aware of the problem and apparently think it’s not one. 😳 As I said playability and everything else you can’t touch it but seriously who wants a yellow guitar after six months?
Good ti know and such a shame about the white turning yellow. Such a shame as that was the color I was attracted to. Love the playability of Reverends too. Been missing the Jetstream 390 I let go of a while back.
You can dial in just enough bottom to carry the sound. Too much bass is not an ideal sound, it happens with the neck pickup. With the bass control rolled all the way off, you still have a very musical tone. Naylor did a very nice guitar. This could be a signature guitar for Anyone. You could put in either TV Jones Classic Plus or Power Trons or Duncan Antiquities. There are a lot of ways to go with this beast. I like the pickups as is.
I agree that these are the best sounding pick ups around. I've seen 5 reviews and they sound rich and clear every time. Never really cared for the Pumpkins, but this guitar has my full attention. Not sure if I like the 4 aluminum plates (especially over the horns) but the color is nice and the shape of the guitar is also good.
Is the opening a tribute to the great Michael Casswell?! (Previous reviews of Reverend guitars on Gi were done by him, So saddened by his untimely demise.)
It looks good but I rather get the one without Billy Corgan’s name on it. And without those plates in the front. Without them this guitar would look amazing.
Lots of talent if you're gonna advertise an "Artist Series" guitar, especially for a band like Smashing Pumpkins, at least PLAY something from them? o.O HELLO!

Let's just appreciate the amount of sustain this guitar has.

Find someone who can give it a nice dark blue paintjob and you will have a pretty unique looking guitar.

I just picked up a used one, this review help me on deciding to get it, wow no regrets here, the sustain and tone is unreal 🤘,definitely a keeper..

Please Tom, get your hands on a Six Gun III and a Jetstream 390.
G&L Guitars also have a bass cut knob, as Leo Fender introduced it more than 30 years ago.
with g&l's ptb system you can cut either bass or treble.

Best review of this guitar. Thanks.
They need to put out some new colors. This guitar feels and sounds great. I love the light weight.
I bought one on black Friday. It is one hell of a guitar.
ohplezz how much did you get it for?!?!
Hope you didn’t buy the white one!
@@Boleskinebeatz What's wrong with the white one?

I watch Tom's demos as a piece of music...
Tom is just brilliant ,.
I want this so badly! 🤩
9:41 Just wow...
what an opening
She sounds sweet. I want to try one out. thanks for the vid.
Would this be a guitar for people with real small hands?
Nice sound.
Robo-Jazzmaster. I like it though.
Great guitar

i think there are holes under the plates?
No stainless steel frets. Not for me
Wow, this thing has a stupid amount of sustain!

So they can get a copyright strike?
I was thinking 'Tom's a legend, what a great tone, that guitar looks weird, OH MY GOD THAT HEADSTOCK... IT'S BURING MY EYES WITH ITS UGLYNESS!'
hideous guitar, beautiful tone
