Yesterday I scrolled down the comments on the original video and there are still some people saying that Tatiana is lip-syncing and that the video was poorly edited because she's out of sync, that this was pre-recorded, that there's doubling... Haters need to go to Specsavers, since they also sell hearing aids now.
@@Module79L There's a few places where the mouth shapes and timing don't match up, it's clearly not the same take as the audio for whatever reason, i don't doubt it's her, there's plenty of other live videos where she's still nailing it.
Holding the mic at the head and close to the mouth is something Tatiana does at live performances. Probably to spare her voice to keep up a live session. With a studio mic like this one the growls sound sharper and grittier. I like that.

I'm not trying to diminish this performance in any way, shape or form but many people seem to be forgetting that this is simply what she does live, show after show. What I mean is, this is what she's used to do, more than recording vocals in several takes in the studio. ; )

Tati is a bit low in the mix on the live in Melbourne video so it is a good chance to really enjoy the instrumental parts of this song (not so much a reaction suggestion, though I'd be happy to watch it :D ). Hey Johnny, dig your reactions dude!. I'm a "semi-pro" drummer and I've watched a bunch of your videos. Once in a while you'll throw out a little partial scream or vocal that sounds pretty damm good. I've never heard you say whether you've been in a band before or not tho. Are you?, because maybe you should be. It sounds like you could have some serious vocal potential, which shouldn't be ignored if it's there. If not, no harm no foul, but I promise it's not too late. 👍💀

If you can make a gig, DO IT!! Saw them in Adelaide, March 2020 during their world sellout tour. Fowlers, where they played, has max capacity of 750 (sold out of course). It was sensational. They don't sound different from their recorded songs. By that I mean that there doesn't seem to be any or much studio work. My father, who was a pro jazz drummer for 50 years, used to laugh at bands that said they'd take x amount of weeks or months to record an album. He said he (and whatever other musos) would record their song or album in a day or two. One or two takes. So, almost like a live studio album. As a kid, I just though the was being an arrogant dick. Then I realised that 'natural' bands do exactly this - Jinjer is such.......IMHO anyway. :)

Courtney is OK in my book. Nowhere near Tatiana and I don't think any level of training or experience could get her to even be in Tatianas shadow, simply because she's so otherworldly fantastic. But what's definitely not good with Spiritbox is that the music is so horribly generic sounding. The one take she did was backed by sample replaced or even full on programmed drums and the most generic sounding metal guitars you can imagine, the composition was very generic sounding too. Courtney would be better of with a better band or better musicians backing her.
Checked out Spiritbox, and I have to say I am unimpressed. Tatiana has ruined me. On the non growls there is way too much vocal processing. In the Spiritbox one take all she did was the growls. Checked out a few songs, but if all she can do is the growls without the heavy post processing then she is not particularly skilled in my opinion that no one asked for.
I disagree. Just checked them out due to "Powerful Reactions" recommendation, and i was not impressed. Way to much post processing on the "clean" vocals. She didn't even try to do the "clean" vocals on her one take.
Courtney is great, but Tatiana is just unworldly.... she is just so good... wow
