Justin Gatlin and Tyson Gaye were two of Bolt's biggest rivals (in their own head) ... they always ran their mouth that they would beat him butttt well they have now all retired and are yet to beat Usain. 😂😂
That's not entirely true, gay was never a talker he just ran, he didn't win but he never spoke of bolt, Gatlin allowed the American media to fall for there stupidity and rally up bolt to beat him. However Gatlin won the last world championship that he met bolt in , so he retired losing to Gatlin. Bolt could not continue his career into his 30s as he has scoliosis In his back. But in those years that he was active was the most entertaining period of track n field
@@normanholmes11 the only reason gatlin won was because bolt had injuries, from where my knowledge is concerned bolt doesn't have scoliosis. Furthermore gatlin won the race bohh still didn't beat the world record bolt had set so he is still yet the fastest man alive.

2008 would have been special if the chest pounding didn't happen 9.69 slowing down is the craziest piece of sprinting I've ever seen. And he had to beg his coach to run the 100m
Something I learned, apparently, the olympics switched around the final event of the games to have Usain close out with the 4 x 100 at London and Rio, rather than conclude it’s program with the 4 x 400 as is customary.
Gatlin was his greatest rival... Well, sort of lol. He beat him once or twice when Usain wasn't ar his best, but Usain at his prime really had no rivals as you can see in videos. Gatlin was good tho, very good. Very explosive. He was One of the best starters (first meters) ever.
@@agtv This is what I found. 'If you're running too tall, your feet will hit the ground too far in front of your pelvis and centre of mass - also known as overstriding - which generates braking force and slows you down.'
Well it depends, being tall is a disadvantage at the beginning phase of the sprint but it is an advantage at the last end of the sprint due to the longer stride. What impressive about Bolt is that despite his height, his start is as good as the rest of the field so when you get to the last half of the sprint he doesn't have to catch up, he just pulls away. He actually has the second fastest 60m split in history of 6.31s just a bit slower and su bingtian's 6.29 he ran last year
@@Atlas9766 It has always been an advantage in the 100m, just in the second part of the race. Carl lewis was also pretty tall around 1.9m but unlike Bolt his first half was really bad due to his height so he was always behind at the beginning of the race.
And there goes 14 years no one can even get close to Usain world records, let Alone break them. I wonder If they will ever be broken by another human? Think about it, 14 years! There's kids who born after those records that are about to turn pro athletes in a minute.
