Love this type of content, good stuff man. It's great how explain what you do, why you do it, and you film the whole process. It's unfortunate all of your hard work didn't pay off in the end. But if you're like me I bet you enjoyed the challenge and the experience. That's what it's all about. Good luck this season and God Bless - Eric

Yep, we even found out later on that he was spending most of the deer season on the other side of the Illinois river!

Almost all the bucks I get pictures of in summer leave during the rut it’s common knowledge. All bucks have big ranges during the rut they aren’t gonna stay on the same 80 acre parcel during daylight during the rut. I get new bucks showing up every week all the way into mid November. Some stay for the winter and some of my summer bucks come back for the winter because of all the food. Good designs with the brush walls.

Love your videos in the content. I was wondering if you could do a descriptive video on the importance of a South facing slope and how to properly manage that. Thank you.

I have a question. If that was his bedroom in the video which I’m sure it was why did he leave? Was it because of all the activity making the changes. That bedroom was tore up enough that he had to be using it often why was he not there during hunting seasons the next years?

Hey Danny …. I’m our opinion Certain deer have summer and fall ranges that vary greatly while others stay put all year … we had history of this buck leaving the fall before and then did it again the fall after we sold the farm .. a very short time after the project he was right back in there using the farm like we thought he did for several months and then started shifting his range mid September before any pressure was put on the farm! We have seen bucks stay in their core over and over during and after high impact projects! Hope this helps! Thanks

@@a3fan11atick so you think that the bedroom y’all found was one he was using outside of the hunting season?

@@a3fan11atick did you ever go back to that bed to see if it was being used during the season? Could it have been a different buck that did stay on the farm during the season

Hey Danny obviously Bucks don’t bed in the same exact spot all the time like an actual “bedroom “ but given the terrain in the sign that point made sense for the most dominant Deer to wanna be on especially because we saw him coming off of it and found the sheds there. I think when he was on the farm it is obvious he was using that a lot but I do not think he was there during deer season at all the trail cam situation was way too high odds of knowing he was there because of all the pitch points.
