Thanks @jimson! It was such an amazing and breathtakingly beautiful train ride it deserved beautiful music to match! The track is the intro from Claude Debussy's Claire De Lune. It was my son's idea to pop the GoPro on timelapse in the front window of the train. It turned out great and I love watching the clouds and the colours change while the train races on into the night.
I have a new video coming out this Sunday from our most recent trip in January so please make sure you subscribe to get notified, and thanks for supporting the little creators who one day hope to be big!

Thanks John! Yes I'm taking my own advice too and am looking to buy. We're heading to Shirakawago in a few weeks and I don't want to be slip, sliding away again! Doesn't look like anyone local to where I live supplies them but I think Tokyu Hands in Japan stock them so may have to wait until we get there. Have a great trip and hit that SUBSCRIBE button!

@@MichaelBTraveller thank you. It's looking like the trip won't go ahead at this point. Fingers crossed we can just postpone for another 12 months as I'd really love to go in autumn. We went in summer last time and it was just so hot.

Hi @kacey it's a shame I know, it's pretty crazy at the moment. Autumn is a very beautiful time in Japan you'll love it. My wife and I were lucky enough to get two weeks in Japan in January before the world went nuts and started shutting down. We found though that if you want guaranteed snow you have to aim for February. I'm progressively putting up new videos about the last trip so make sure you subscribe if you want to come along (sorry I had to drop that in!). Stay safe, stay clean, stay distant, stay at home. Take care. M

That's too bad, it's quite a beautiful place to visit in wintertime. Where is Yaesu City? There are lots of ryokan to stay in the Yudanaka onsen town if you wanted to stay overnight. 感谢观看此视频

Hi Nirmal, welcome to the channel! Thanks for watching, thanks so much for the feedback, and thanks for supporting new creators! I'm glad you liked it.
The trip was in January 2019, it was a pretty cold winter so we got to see the monkeys in the snow. I was in Japan with my wife in January this year and there wasn't much snow at all! We specifically went to a village in central Japan called Shirakawa-go to see the village in snow, but there was none! I guess there's no predicting the weather! Apparently it dumped down in February and we missed it! I'm publishing the videos from that trip right now so if you'd like to join in with us feel free to hit Subscribe the notification bell. Thanks again for your support! Stay safe.

Nice editing.. How did you do the map effect ? 👍

Hey @Ashwin thanks and welcome to the channel!
For the fly-out/fly-in maps Google has a tool called Google Earth Studio (earth.google.com/studio) that allows you to create some pretty amazing map effects for free!. I used it quite a bit in this series for "flying" around Tokyo. It allows you to export the video frames that you can then import into Adobe After Effects to create the scene, add text etc. There's a really great tutorial here so check it out: ruclips.net/video/UVgzCh-y1Yw/видео.html.
I'm still editing and publishing from our most recent Japan trip in January so make sure to subscribe (pretty please!) to get notified when I put them up. Thanks for the support of the small channels!
Any other help you need feel free to reach out. Cheers, Michael.
