Technically his body would NOT decompose, Decomposition is something that happens at the microscopic level, and Fry was likely frozen to absolute zero, meaning no movement of any kind on any scale, so not only could he not decompose, but also not starve, or dehydrate.
Yeah but a lot of proteins and stuff will denature if they get too cold, so unless he was filled with some weird frog chemicals or something, he'd die moments after being iced. So no, he wouldn't decompose, but he would definitely denature. Nerd emoji.
One of the smallest attention to detail is that despite freezing at midnight of New Years Day and staying frozen for 1000 years, he got out in the afternoon of New Years Eve. This is not a mistake but an actual fact that the moon is slowing the earth's rotation and thus lengthening the days. Assuming Fry's pod kept accurate to the length of the day in 2000, the cumulative extra time added to the calendar over the course of a thousand years would pop him out about 7.5 hours early, or around 4:30 in the afternoon.
Except, that's not what happened. The professor claims that he was able to go back to before he invented the time button. Weird. I always thought the D was for the mispronounciation you hear people do for The as Dee. So i thought it was One Be The Eye, but beady eye makes way more sense now and i feel dumb
To make a point about the first episode/pilot, Fry is so happy to be a delivery boy at the end because he chose to be one himself that time, it wasn’t something he was forced into to get a job and or was forced on him by it was his choice which is why he’s happy with it that time.
They didn't predict Soylent, both Soylent and the show are referencing an old movie called Soylent Green. It was a movie about a global food shortage and the solution was to feed people Soylent Green, which turned out to be made out of people.
Futurama is one of the greatest shows, even the ‘bad’ episodes still have many redeeming qualities, although the upcoming revival does concern me Also the late Philip J. Fry is the best episode, this is just a fact

You should watch the most emotional episodes next. There are some real tear jerkers in this series, it’s made me cry multiple times. The 7 leaf clover episode, the episode about the dog 😭
For the record, I know I’m late to this, but the reason Fry’s building probably wasn’t destroyed when the city was destroyed in the first episodes time skip was because it was actually bender wayyy back in time going through the events of the movie Benders Big Score. If bender destroyed that building with Fry in it, then it would create another paradox for them all to deal with. At least this is what my head canon is
The word LITERALLY is dead and has lost all meaning from being thrown around too much these days, it's become redundant and you should pick a different word.
Out of the Simpsons, family guy, futurama, and american dad, futurama is definitely my favorite. It actually keeps a storyline. And bro this show has some of the saddest moments in cartoon history. Bro the Seymour episode. Also fry and Leyla do actually get together
Wow, one of the heads really looks like Heisenberg. But this episode was broadcast in 1999 and Breaking Bad wasn't until 2008. THEY PREDICTED THE FUTURE. Matt Groening, you've done it again!
@@zeallust8542 You're half right. I do like comedies, whether they're aimed at kids or adults, that's why I like The Amazing World of Gumball and Sonic Boom. But another reason I like Futurama is because even though it may make a bad episode every now and then, the characters are still likable and the episodes still keep me engaged. Speaking of the characters, I like all of them. Even Bender, who is basically the asshole of the group, I still really like him because he's funny. "The Sting" is my favorite episode, not just cause of the whole "dream within a dream" trope than I always thought was cool, but also because of Fry and Leela's relationship. I loved the twist where it turned out that the reason Fry kept telling Leela to wake up in her dreams was because she was in a coma for weeks and he was not only alive but trying to wake her from the coma, that wasn't just brilliant it was also sweet. I'm not the biggest fan of romance but when it's done right and with characters I love, I love it.
This show will forever make me cry and just be filled with absolute nostalgia. I'm 26 and this was amazing back when it was on, then off, then on, then off again lol
Hearing the voices in English is so weird for me, I'm so used to the voices in Latin Spanish. I met Futurama when I was very little, really very little to be watching that series, last year I decided to watch it again and honestly I loved it
Fry and Leela's relationship did progress, but very slowly, she didn't really give him a chance until the parasites episode, but broke it off when he got rid of them, from then on they have small moments but Leela only starts seriously considering dating him in the season 4 finale, they spend most of season 5 on-and-off but a lot of stuff is happening so they don't focus much on their relationship, they officially get together in season 6 and then marry in the series finale. Also, the VCR actually contradicts another episode in which Farnsworth explains most VHS tapes were destroyed during Jesus' second coming, tough being a billionaire Fry probably had access to whatever remained of them.
Dude I forgot how good futurama started. Most shows need to find their fitting but futurama started off so good. The only thing a little off is Bender's voice.
Futurama was my shit in middle school. I think I binge watched it three times back to back. I recently rewatched it a few years ago. I still like it. Not sure how much I would like it if I discovered it now vs back then. But no complaints on how it all turned out. Would be cool to get a reboot.

It helps when you have several doctorates amongst the group of writers for this show. There are many examples of scientific correctness throughout.
My absolute favorite part of Futurama is then the final episode makes the whole series go back to the start so the whole show is just one big loop
Wonder what the new episodes are gonna do
