Avenged is a reference to the beginning of the last cancelled season, which read "Avenge us"; essentially declaring that they have been avenged with the reboot.
They didn't redact the ending, that's exactly what they expected to happen and they said as such at the end of the series, they left it open ended just in case of a revival.
Well, fry was going to ask leela to marry him. That’s what the previous episode was about. That’s what I always wondered if they would remember the altered Time is frozen time line. Or would they go back to exactly that fry was trying to propose to leela. Judging from the next season 11 episode they forget the events of the frozen time line. That does make sense as the old guy said they would be redoing their younger life all over again. What doesn’t make sense is fry doesn’t remember he was going to propose. But we can take it as a side effect from going back to their restart in time again as a side effect. Let’s just say he probably forgot the last hour of the previous events which explains why he doesn’t bring it up. Or maybe subconsciously his brain told him he had already accomplished what he had set up to do. Marry leela but he can’t recall his forgotten memories. Maybe fans are disappointed that there was no proposal/wedding and that will be stalled if anything.
