- In the first part of our Amawaterway Mekong River Cruise Series we arrive in Vietnam following our family holiday in Thailand. Sadly our arrival in Vietnam doesn't go to plan, and we have a very stressful time before we join our river cruise.

Oh gosh just found you and we so like you! We can relate to your luggage story, lost my bag in Madrid and we were on the Douro. When you cried about the scarf…I could relate. We sure hope you got your bag. We are deciding on our next river cruise.and the Mekong is one of our top choices.

I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. I've been putting some of my clothes and my husband's together for many years now. This is just in case of luggage going missing. Have a wonderful river cruise.

So excited for this series. I've been thinking a lot about taking my first river cruise and I love the thoroughness of your videos. Food looks amazing and is there anything more peaceful than a river at sunset? Truly cannot wait for the next installment!

Great video, a lovely ship. I'm looking forward to following this series. We enjoyed our land tour of Vietnam a few years ago and it was lovely to revisit Ho Chi Minh City last week on Marella but we're now thinking we'd enjoy a Mekong river cruise.

Fascinating. I've always been put off doing a river cruise as they can be disappointing / cancelled due to low water levels.
No problem with this on the Mekong!
