One of the best examples of "If it ain't broke don't fix it". All the content in the first game, made beautiful and refined with extra optional features and more dlc to come.

That's the point: This is why they went the route they did with the game. It's great as a game, and AFAIK they specifically wanted a great modding platform.
They got rid of the extra capital ship slot from Rebellion though. Also no diplomatic ships
did ironclad ever talked about a new race/faction or is it only 3 faction only again?
Exactly how we wanted it. Mods that return ships back to the old skins are already out as a small number dont like then newer looks, but the engine improvements are the best

it is , in the very first trailer of sins in 2008 you will realise its an already retired soldier who finished his service during the war with Vasari aliens but the Advents opened a second front so he was being dreafted again for lack of man power and he is still in service since . if he retired at 50 he should be 80 years old now
Excellent performance though. A lot of character behind it, man putting his twang on it.

Some battles are too complex, this graphics with dozens or hundreds of ships would lead to movie rendering framerate

Given how deathly quiet space actually is in reality, and given our television and radio broadcasts have travelled the length and breadth of the galaxy - if there are other alien civilisations, and they're mainly peaceloving - they must be terrified of us seeing content like this we produce just 'for fun'.
Nah, the first radio waves only reached 123 light years radius. The closest star is 4 light years away, and if there is smart life, they hear our panic during COVID.

it hasnt happened in the last like 15 years. maybe by 2900 or when ever this game is based on it will get a story mode. but metroid is based in like the year 2480. so metroid will come true by that time. and metroid prime 4 is coming ouit soon too.

I've been playing the beta for a year. It's pretty much the same game on a better engine with better graphics. The moving planets are cool but it takes some getting used to. Can't wait for the Advent to come out.

If you played the original, it won't be. There's literally nothing new here other than a slight graphic upgrade and a few bips and bops. Nowhere near enough to call it a sequel.

The similarities are that it's a space rts.
Can't fully compare it, it's RTS, but also 4x/grand strategy.
They're completely different games, with the only common aspect being that they're set in space. Homeworld is far more small-unit tactics, whereas Sins is more realtime 4X.

Huh, where did you get this false information? There is a lot more in the game than Rebellion and the DLC's combined.
Sins 2 is releasing with practically more content than Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion which is the full Sins of the Solar Empire + DLC.
Actually, it has more to offer both new mechanics and refreshed ones, e.g. TEC can build Garrisons to create free army pop fleets of free ships which can both defend main planets and be extra meatshield in conquests; Vasari start by invading planets first then try to upgreade their technology to make ships faster and stronger around planets.
