The perfect title for this serious and contemplative piece. The kind of music you listen to while looking out at the countryside on a train to nowhere.
Train to nowhere feeling is exactly what I was going for - not unpleasant but slightly frustrating as nothing seems to change. Glad the title works well, thanks for listening!
Thank you for sharing your wonders, an enchantment... It’s magical, there is magic in these compositions, it’s really nice to listen... And what emotions, sometimes powerful, grandiose as an epic tale, and so delicate as snowflakes... Bravo for this new creation Bethany!
like how this one single theme sounds really varied without having very dramatic, over-the-top variations, each with it's own effects and merits. Beautifully poignant... yet simultaneously hopeful !
I think it was Schoenberg who once said "There is still plenty of great music to be written in C Major". Well, I suppose the same is true of A minor, as is well illustrated by this excellently executed short work. Very nicely done!
A really beguiling piece. The climax is very effective, coming as it does almost exactly halfway through the piece - I felt my pulse quickening! Wonderful work.
Thanks so much! I’m so pleased to hear the climax worked, as I was trying to build the tension/frustration up to that point at m 90, before everything sort of explodes and floats back down.
Very beautiful. I like it. I really love how the crescendo is built from measure 70 to 90 and right there all the tension that had created that crescendo is released. I also love the major third with which the last chord ends.
Sooo beautiful with its gentle tone,,,, picardy third was the perfect ending like damn the colour on that c# (first c# in the whole piece right) also this is just a random thing but the ff chord at 02:28 sounds so much like the first chord of Rautavaara's piano concerto it threw me off guard lol :)
Yes, the only C# in the piece, exactly! I’m glad you liked the Picardy at the very end. And Rautavaara threw a couple extra notes in but that is indeed the opening chord of his first concerto 😂 have you heard his Cantus arcticus? Thanks for listening, and so glad you liked this piece!
Thanks very much! It had hit 600 a few days ago and then I was miffed cause it went back to 599 😆 but this piece brought it back up again haha. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@bethanywakim6175 I just had someone unsubscribe from my channel for the first time a few days ago and it was quite funny. It would probably not be so funny if it happened just after a milestone and brought me back below it, but it's also not that difficult to recover from that
I haven’t listened to a ton of it, but I really liked the waltz from FFXV, and the chocobo theme in general haha. My husband just played through the most recent game, so that music is probably in my subconscious somewhere…
@@bethanywakim6175 this piece was giving me FFX vibes (my favorite FF game & music). "To Zanarkand" is the most famous piece from that game, I think you'd like it!
Hey this sounds awesome! I'm a jazz pianist but very recently got into classical improvisation and am having a lot of fun with it but am still learning a lot. I've posted a few videos and if you want to let me know what you think that would be much appreciated.

Que bonita meoldia, evoca nostalgia y un hermoso sentimiento al estar con uno mismo.
Muchas gracias por escuchar!
Masterfully done! Solemn, nostalgic, and perfectly constructed by a composer who clearly knows her craft.
As a great composer yourself, I appreciate the compliment! Glad you enjoyed this piece.

Thank you so much, and I’m really glad you noticed that major third at the end! I wanted the very last note to be hopeful.
Those 2/4 measures really make the music speak. Wonderfully crafted work!
Thanks so much! The mixed meter helped to un-balance things a bit, I think.
Pretty incredible!
Was this the piece that was featured on charles stream?
Yep, this is the same one! I implemented some of his suggestions and they worked out really well.
