There are two notes before the 'melody' (it is really apart of the melody). This is, in no way, unique to Chopin. It's something that dates back to Baroque dances and before. There're just pickup notes. Listen to another composer.
@@uncertainity188 It is a very Chopin-esc piece though. The romantic chords/progressions, the arpeggio bass line, the development of the theme into a more complicated version of itself, etc
@@uncertainity188Im not discrediting this composer in anyway saying they are copying Chopin I’m simply pointing out cool similarities, like at 1:29 he writes 5 notes (its just a turn but without the symbol) but thats very Chopin-like in his 9/2 or his 28/4, this reminds me of a mix of nocturnes 9/1, 72/1, and 27/2.
@@sgt_yeetI really don't see many similarities. The piece is Chopin-esque insofar as it is a romantic piece written for the piano, but beyond that, there are few similarities.
@galaxy.9162 My point still stands regardless. It's not Chopin-like because it features basic elements found in basicaly all of classical music preceding and including the romantic period. Also, this turn you are describing, similar to the pickup notes. dates back to the baroque period.
Wow this was actually really good. RUclips compositions like this are usually not great, but this one has genuine musicality and very sensitive phrasing. Good job 👍
This is so beautiful. Something about it brings me back to a specific time in adolescence, where I was very isolated from my peers, but at peace in a way. There were lots of places for me to have time to myself and think, places that burned themselves into my memory, yet only with music do I find myself in those places. Absolutely lovely. Thank you for sharing
Very nice nocturne! To me, it feels in 4/4 with the accompaniment in triplets... it's much more common that what you wrote. Not so common to find a 12/8 with so many duplets.
This is something on another level! The dynamics, intervals, and tuplets make this piece so good and special, and I really like it. You did a great job!
I would call this piece:“Oh how I hate my love for you „ An absolute and immaculate masterpiece, I‘ve never heard such a heartbreaking main melody, especially when you repeated it the third time, the high notes really hit the spot.
the figuration of the choral at 4:22 is beautiful. also a very nice nocturne in general! I thought at some point that I feels a tiny bit long but that might be due to the lifeless digital playback (good job by the way on making it sound this good nonetheless).
@@naphtanaptha thanks for always being around and for the kind comments. yeah, I need to get better at piano so I can actually play this or get someone to play it on a real piano. noteperformer is a pain.
This is gorgeous!! Like seriously, I love this piece. If this is what happens when you don't study I recommend not studying haha. Instant sub after watching this video.
Most new composers I see on YT are mediocre to bad at best, but this is a really solid piece. You definitely have a more innate sense of what fits in the hand for pianists, how to structure the piece to be natural to play, and it actually sounds good. Props to you good sir. One quick thing though: I think in the area 5:19-6:18, I personally think this should be faster, more like Rachmaninoff's Etude Tableaux op. 39 #5. It would contrast really nicely with the previous slower sections to act as a climax before settling down. If I ever played this piece I would be tempted to play it like that. Just a thought! Great work overall!
amazing , it always have a little bit dissonance and then the big resolve at the end(7:08 and 7:47) made the song richful, the feeling that the song is fully completed
Some nice moments for sure. A theme definitely reminds me of Chopin's e minor. I feel like it could be condensed a little. I love the chord progressions you used for modulation.
Teacher: Jonny! Why do u failed this exam? Ur good at music! Jonny Myong: "Starts playing this piece" u might need to change ur mind Teacher: Alright, pass
I believe you stumbled upon a lost Chopin nocturne by accident! Its so sweet, yet mysterious. The use of 2:3 rhythms are just beautiful, and the way you embellish on them sounds just like something from the romantic era. Seriously, the midi player doesn't do this piece justice
How do you propose one play bar 23 xD Great piece overall, clear inspiration from Chopin (and maybe a little brahms? Some nice polyphony in there) but not too familiar which is great! Nice work
Classical music artists: Screw school; I'm gonna compose this magnificent 8 minute piece instead of study for that physics exam because my passion is way more important and I am more likely to please more people by composing such a piece than acing an exam on physics.... :)
It's wonderfull. It made me cry. And because of that, I have a question for you, is I copyrighted ? Because I really want to learn it and play it in front of a public.
The midi player doesnt do this justice
i think it sounds pretty good for midi!
Yeah it’s so beautiful, but if it was being played by a person it could be so much bettet
Our ears: Blessed
Exam: Failed
Composing a nocturne so we can sleep better and be more energetic for the exam 👍🏻
It’s a good thing you didn’t study for that exam, because if you had, we wouldn’t have been able to listen to this beautiful piece.
Gotta love the chopin style opening with the single note before the melody comes in

Sounds like a mixture of all chopin nocturnes
You made a nice decision
I need a live recording of this immediately
I'll try not to forget to learn this and post a video of it.

holy shit this was way better than I expected for some small channel
Very nice nocturne!

yeah, i was gonna say
i think it was totally worth it. screw studying!!!!!
That's a nice Chopin pastiche.
0:27 a good 7(13) always make me bust
Prob my favourite chord sus13 is also beautiful
this sounds like a mix of chopin's op72 in e minor, op 48 in c minor, op37 in g minor, and fantasie impromptu. nice work!
The beginning reminds me of Op. 72 No. 1 and Op. 28 No. 4, two of my most favorite Chopin pieces
man this is GREAT, 2 mins in and my eyes are already watery! I LOVE the chopin-esque style, you really did great, this deverves to be recorded live
feels like what a Schubert nocturne might sound like, very interesting!
this is actually so beautiful
This is something on another level! The dynamics, intervals, and tuplets make this piece so good and special, and I really like it. You did a great job!
This is absolutely amazing, beautiful work
this is honestly the most beautiful piano piece i've heard
As a composer I'm envious. This is really good

this is well-crafted not gonna lie

This seems like a great yet simple piece to study on the piano

Even if you composed a one movement sonatina it would've been worth it. Music over all forever and ever 100%

Very beautiful and well thought. However i think it should be in 4/4 with the left hand jn triplets, it would make more sense.
It is REALLY good ❤
sounds like a mix of his opus 9 number 1 and chopin's nocturne in F minor i forgot the work number
I almost never leave comments, but not this time. Beautiful, very beautiful! Go on! Texture reminds me Field a bit, not Chopin
This is just great 🎉😊❤ lovely nocturne

in my opinion that end chords can be a bit short but its ur piece its customizing by ur feels
yeah I'm still iffy on the end chords, I wanted to call back to the chorale section, but still unsure
@@jonnymyongI think they are great, but the register does not give them justice. Try giving them some more bass/ground 🙏

For the right hand, if your hands aren’t big enough, just roll the first chord. The pedal should sustain it for the rest of the bar.
Wow beautifull! I want to learn it now
Chopin???? Is that you?
This is so nice!! I’m going to practice it now 😂😂
wounderfull piece, congrats 👏

Very good work 😮😮
the part starting from 2:11 reminds me of liszt's Bénédiction de Dieu dans la Solitude
