I have to say thank you so much and this really begginer friendly and turns out so really well. I have to give the octopus for my birthday bestie, and I hope she will like it. This was really fun to make.
Thank you for this free pattern! I'm a beginner so I have to watch some tutorials if I want to crochet something and I must say that I like your instructions! They are detailed enough and very specific! I like that with every pattern I've been learning something new) I find crocheting very relaxing. Greetings from Ukraine!
I just finished a huge loaf cat last weekend, and here this vid is. I've got this super colorful rainbow stuff that I might have to try with these little doofuses to go for a "color-changing" effect. I've barely started crocheting and you've put me fully on the amigurumi wagon!
I finally got the time to do this little guy! Absolutley loved the creativity you had in this pattern, and for a person who usally follow pattern in swedish, it was really easy to follow when you explaind and showed the different crochet stiches, since I don't konw all the terms for them in english! 🥰❤
This is so cute! My first little creature and I love it. So easy to follow your tutorial, you explain it all really well. I’m an avid knitter abs have just started my crochet journey. Thank you ❤
I was doing this at my grandmothers house in the living room, when I heard an extremely loud vibrating kind of sound. And I heard someone say/yell something. I immediately jumped out my seat, and wearily walked over to the family room fearing what I might see. And I walked in, after panicking. Because I did yell like “are you okay?” Or like “what’s going on?!” Something like that. Then, I walked in and found out apparently it was the fire alarm because there was a bit of steam from someone taking a bath/shower. But oh my gosh, scared the life out of me. And I went to check my sister, to see her reaction, AND SHE WAS SOUND ASLEEP! I still haven’t finished the crochet before I wrote this, but I had to let someone know since this just happened. Love the project so far!
Thank you for this pattern, our 8 year old granddaughter really enjoyed making it. She also made the coffee cup, which she also enjoyed doing. Thank you.
I did a couple things wrong but mine still turned out adorable I think that’s a sign this is a rlly good tutorial & pattern!! tysm for this I’m obsessed with my little guy!!
thank you so much for all your beginner friendly and in-depth amigurumi patterns!!! im very new to amigurumi and crocheting in general, but ever since i found your channel i havent put down the hook haha!!
i love this tutorial!!! :) at first when i was a beginner i couldnt do it but it was bc i was slip stitching in the slip knot not the chain 🤦♀ BUT ANYWAY NICE RUTORIAL IM MAKIGN RN IM SO EXCITEDDDDD
The pattern would change in that case! you wouldn't end up with the same amount of frills and would have to make up a new pattern! I would double up on yarn with a bigger hook and use the same pattern!
i dont know how to do it and im a begginer so i had no idea how to do it when you did the single crochet and no idea which loop to put it in for the 2nd time when i was suppose to do eight :( next time could you do a more clear image description pls? :(
@@SphynxCrochet When people ask for it bigger I usually recommend a chunkier yarn and hook that way you don't have to change the pattern. Other ways you would have to adapt the pattern and add more sets of increases and mess around with the combos of each frill to add up to 8 again.
@@FalseBubbles gotcha. I did use a size 6 yarn but I’ll try getting some of that big blanket yarn for it. The one I made it so cute I wanted to make more in different sizes ☺️
Voor de nederlanderssss Ik heb deze voor de dochter van dylan heagens gemaakt en de ogen niet met safety eyes gedaan maar geborduurd zodat het veilig is voor nami!!
You can actually make this completely no sew. Just start by finishing the octopus first (without making ears beforehand) and then insert your hook into the stitch you want your ears to be in and chain 2, sl st. Then sl st back into the stitch you inserted your hook to start the ears, cut off the yarn and hide the ends. Hope that makes sense bc thats the way i did it and it worked 😊
So, this is my first ever crochet project And I've seen this joke going around that when you start crocheting you have to ask yourself if you can count, and if you're ready for the answer to be no I thought it was just a silly little joke Today, at the ripe age of 16 I learned that no, I don't know how to count I'll go back to kindergarten now. I'm ashamed of myself.
@@FalseBubbles With the plush yarn I like to use a really good light source. I either use over the shoulder book lights or the flashlight on my phone and I find that it really helps.
Nice octopus, and tentacles are sooo easy to make compared to some other patterns. I've been crocheting for a week and only came to video to see what half doble crochet is. But it seems like you use some different technique, not "yarn over"(cause your yarn ends up on the right side of your hook after the "yarn over" part instead of left). Threw me off as a beginner, not standard. Maybe it was mentioned in the begging, I don't know, in that case sorry
@FalseBubbles hi my name is kayden im 12 and starting to crochet and i want to ask for permission to sell it at my school because i am using you as inspiration and i don't habe a social media platform so if you have the time can you reply to my comment if you can❤

aww thanks so much! that means a lot!
I tried this with thin yarn and it was so hard I definitely recommend thick yarn btw you are underrated!

If I wanted to make it bigger could I just chain 2 like you did but then put 10 chains in the same spot instead of 8?

Great easy pattern! Do you have any idea how I could double the pattern? The tentacles part is tripping me up on how to double it
Hmm I don't think I know what you mean by double... Like crocheting with two yarns??
@@FalseBubbles no like make it bigger, sorry.

I understand the steps but the plush makes it very hard to see the stitches, any tips?
Sometimes going up a hook size helps. But I found that marking with stitch markers is helpful too. And practice... Unfortunately 😔

I folowed the rules but it came out not so great
This "no sew" thing is one of the biggest advantages of your pattern cause I hate sewing as much as I love crocheting...
