Other videos didn't talk about her glossed over the adhesive, so I was looking for one that actually said whether you need it or not. So I found this very -especially the links!
Thanks man! Your clear and concise instructions made it very easy for me to tackle this job. Was prepared to get another phone if I failed, but everything went great. Thanks again.
Thank you for this detailing tutorial, will try to replace the battery by myself in a couple of days. I hope my S7 will keep working fine in the next years!
Pretty good video. Hardest part was getting the back off. If you are careful, you can save much of the water-proofing adhesive on the back. A couple suggestions. With phones, computers, cars, anything, they are highly, precisely engineered. If a piece doesn't fit easily, remove it and try again. Do not force a part! The part should fit in easily. When putting screws back in, turn them counterclockwise. They will click into place. You can feel this happen, and often hear it. Then you can turn the screw clockwise to tighten. This will keep you from cross-threading the screw. When you put the three cover parts back on, there are a few more steps than they show. Put the largest piece in first, but don't screw in tightly. That piece needs to interweave with the bottom part. On the left side, one tab on the bottom piece has to go under the larger piece, while one tab must go over the larger piece. On the bottom piece, these is a tab at the bottom that can be snapped into place by pushing on it. On the top piece, the top edge of the middle piece must go under the top piece. Also, I believe a tab on the top part has to go under the frame of the phone. Tighten the screws slightly as you put them in. Then tighten them at various opposite places, like putting a tire on your car. This will avoid one side being tighter than the other or stress put on one side.
may I ask the following: at 1:06 the video switches from "untouched" to pried open rear cover, and there a few scuff marks, I guess from the tool you used to pry it open. Is this so? and if yes, is it unavoidable? Thanks in advance!
+martinsinnombre yes if you're not careful it can scratch pretty easily the glass is just painted on the inside. If you can get it started with something plastic might be better but I couldn't find anything thin enough personally
i hope with further samsung models they keep the batteries user removable. so much easier. who cares if it makes it a smidge thicker, id rather be able to change the battery easily, swap batteries, etc.
like a rockie, i thought all S7 batterys were the same, wrong i got a 935 found i needed the shorter 930. oh well live and learn. why do some battery videos not remove all the mother boards?

Ur on every s7 battery replace video
You, my man; are by far the best at explaining and methodically taking us through each detailed step with clear and concise language. THANKYOU :o).
Thank you I appreciate it!

Nice video. Although it is probably a good idea as you noted, I've had no problem leaving the motherboard in.
Ok thanks I hope everything goes well. 👍

+pawprints1986 Yeah I wish so too.
Apple dragging Samsung down to their level
+Nn Je lol
The reason why they do this so you will by another phone. It's more profitable. Then replacing a new battery.
Perfect video ❤❤
Thanks. 👍👊
How long did it take you to do this replacement.
I can’t remember for sure but I would guess 20 to 30 minutes.
It took me 1h30m because of the adhesive
Wow! I’m glad you were patient and took your time though. Way to go!
Another easier way to remove the back cover is apply heat and a suction cup, what way the glastick gets no damaged
Thanks for sharing
I thought you were only replacing the battery. Why did you remove everything else?
That’s how involved it is to replace it. I show the safest way to other internal components anyway.
thank you
You’re welcome
like a rockie, i thought all S7 batterys were the same, wrong i got a 935 found i needed the shorter 930. oh well live and learn. why do some battery videos not remove all the mother boards?
Yeah it has to do with the model number of your phone I think. You’ll. Get it. I’m actually not sure why some don’t remove it.
Thanks I just take it in and pay them the phone company 😅😂😂I just tore it up better I take it let a pro
At least you know 😁
WHY NOT SHOW THE FRICKING HEAT SO PEOPLE CAN SEE HOW LONG TO APPLY IT??
Cuz everyone complains that I made them sit thru several minutes of heating it up!!
