Thank you for the video instructions, I followed it and replaced my swollen s7 edge battery. Only problem I had was I could not connect the power plug with the battery placed in the phone and had to prise it back out then plug it in, I would advise anyone doing this to do it in that order, plug in power, then seat the battery.
I know this video is old but it helped me greatly and I had little to no trouble at all following these steps. Mostly because I used random household objects I had to help me, with the only tool being the screwdriver.
😩 arghh my GS7 (bought as a refurb in Aug2018) just started reeally swelling to the point that the screen is lifting off on the lefthand side.. now that I've seen this vid I can guess it's definitely cuz the battery is on that side & must be acting up.. whyyy did they have to stop making them easily replaceable?? such rude designing choices! I went with the GS7 because it's the closest to the GS3 (my previous one which I'm still using as a phone & only occasionally as a "basic computer" since so many programs outgrew it lol, so this GS7 is my main "pocket comp" with no service just wifi.. love it!) with the nifty front button & everything.. but that glued-in battery! I just knew it'd eventually be a hassle.. thanks for this! will be sure to come back if/when I get up the courage to attempt prying my precious GS7 apart! (icepaks help in the meantime, which I've used in other similar situations)
hi ! nice video ! can you please tell me or someone tell me how many degree to remove a back of a phone to replace the battery or to use for phone repairs ?
i hate the adhesive, it's too tough to get out so I think i poke it too hard and I smell gas while pulling it out. I placed it in the seal plastic bag. Is the inhaling a little of gas fatal/harmful? If it's killing you, how many hours should you notice the effect? Why do they have the adhesive to tough to get out, especially when you have the swollen battery. It's easy to poke a tiny hole.
Awesome thanks for sharing but Don't you get leery about using aftermarket batteries? I Used to get horrible results with using third-party batteries.. but that was years ago... It always seem better, results with OEM batteries..
this is too cheesy to say but my s7 has so many memories, and here i am, watching this to revive my s7. 😭 but i guess i should go to samsung service center. 😭 it has been with my hands for 5 years. 💔

Great Video, was easier than I expected. Battery company sent me different adhesive strips, but they worked!

Great video like always! You should do a comparison video on replacing an iPhone battery vs. Samsung.
Thank you, maybe in some distant future.
Oh yeah my samsung galaxy s7 battery is also dead i need my replaced badly so thx man
Thank you, I'm going to buy a new battery for my Galaxy 7.

Do you have a recommendation on a specific battery? I'm concerned about buying a generic and having it explode because it is faulty!
Hello, OEM is always best but an aftermarket one will work too.
It is very unlikely that it will explode on you.
Is the phone still water resistant after changing battery and putting on new adhesive?
Does your Samsung Galaxy s7 work with a new battery

👍🏼 what mic u using?
Blue Yeti
Hey. Are these non-branded Samsung batteries safe to use?
Is it the same on the active?
Why...would you add heat to an expanding phone battery??
Heat is only added around the edge where the back glass adhesives are.
I have a swollen battery at 12 months old on my Galaxy S20 Ultra!
I just found my old galaxy with the same battery issue. How can I make sure all my personal stuff is erased so I can get rid of the phone?

My phone literally opens up like a book
What kind of screw driver did you use?
The kind for screws.
How many temperature need to heat?
Great question! I usually have it set at 350 degrees Celsius. Just be sure not to hold the heat over one place for long.
How do you dispose the swollen battery?
How do you press the thing in?? Mine won't connect!!!
Please ensure you are using the correct battery or that your connector is not damaged.
Hi I can't seem to connect the battery conecter. Driving me mad
Question, will the phone still work if the battery is no longer being used all the time and with its battery swollen?
Yes but its a ticking time bomb.
New battery in but still no sign of life, any other ideas?
how good is the water resistance? Does it depend on the glue ?
Yes, a lot depends on the quality of the adhesive and how well you install it.
It will never be like a factory seal though.
@@techhobbies9292 sad then... I'll have to stick to this phone for a year.... and switch soon.
Or you can just order a battery case
@@sarabjitsingh2652 i got an S9 almost 6 months ago... via marketplace
Oh I understand
Is it still water resistant?
Yes, but that all depends on how well of a job you do.
I would not guarantee it as the original factory IP rating.
Thank you!
Yeah your galaxy s7 will be water resistant again if u put waterproof adhesive then it will be water resistant
Good video but just head's up the HDCKU replacement battery is just half the capacity of OEM Samsung battery... more cheap Chinese junk. 😡🤮
