Definitely trackspacer, it is more precise on the frequency send signal to sidechain, making it clearer without reducing too much from the sidechained track, it's clearer, but for sibilance reduction, the Smooth Operator is a good tool@@sadjedkelaiaia4676
Thanks for this Jon. A good reminder about a plugin that i bought and didn't really use as I haven't bene mixing too much of late, just jamming and tracking. Great to see an in-depth review.
Interesting! Well, that one sure's gonna be useful for the track I'm about to send you for mixing! I have the TDB Pro audio Dseq that kind of does the same thing but i can't wrap my head around how it works, I read the manual twice and still can't use it properly. It actually kindof creates more harsh frequences than without. That one seems easier to use.
that plugin is really cool parallel aggressor is really nice, i have that one and all their free plugins are great. I heart NY plugin is really good i hear too, and VHS is popular for synthwave stuff. Baby Audio is really good, If i did not have other things to invest in I would have them all already. in the freebies section there are preston reid presets for parallel aggressor and comeback kid they are useful.
Great video, super helpful. Thank you! Quick question (I apologize for my bad English) : @2:44 FX window (TOP WINDOW: FX: Track 2 "140bpm C BASSLINE"): is it possible to get also this "dark mode" on a PC? The pure white window on a PC is stressfull for the eyes. Any suggestion how to darken it on a PC? Thank you in advance!
You always look sad :-( Maybe it's because this plugin only makes things sound thin. I don't get these plugins, we'll be at the stage soon where we're only listening to pink noise
Buy Smooth Operator and support the channel (paid links)

Very classy that you state right up front in your opening your bias / relationship toward this product. Kudos for honesty.
Thank you for this video and this channel. I just bought this the other day and I love it already.
Smooth Operator in sidechain mode is really a "TrackSpacer" alternative. To be honest, I use it more this way :)
Wht best trackspcer or smooth operator

If trackspacer has a release control, then it's better for sidechaining.
sounds good on the drums

Can you set a default background colour?
Is this better than ReaFIR?
Not far from what ReaFIR does already (in compressor mode)
I did not even realize. I'll have to compare. Thank you!
@@TheREAPERBlog Perhaps it won't be as smooth as Baby Audio's plugin...
I take this opportunity to thank you for your exceptional work !

I kinda preferred the bypassed full mix. I think this plugin can do interesting and useful stuff, but I don't particularly like what was done here.
