Wonderful, joyous video. 2 mates having a bloody good laugh, taking the p!ss out of each other and just enjoying the adventure. Really great to see/hear the messages of respecting the landscape and being responsible in your treatment of it. Excellent work GCN.
If your intent with this travelogue was to make a gal who's never gone bikepacking WANT to go bikepacking, you succeeded. But only if I can go with chums as cool as Hank and Conor. Or Conor and Hank.
Great video! My 12 year old son and I were so inspired. It got the two of us taking and now we’re planning something for next summer. Maybe 90 miles over two days, but with hotels instead of camping. It might not be bikepacking, but the video definitely got us thinking of venturing out further than we usually go. Thanks for the inspiration!
Do it my friend. I went on my first cycle holiday with just my and my Mum in 1973 when I was also 12 years old and it left a lifetime impression on me in a very positive way. Staying in a hotel or hostel on the first trip is a great idea and I would also recommend choosing a relatively flat route. Good luck :)
Wonderful video and despairing at the same time... England used to be mostly rainforest after rainforest before we completely obliterated that and converting it into grasslands to feed the monster of animal agriculture 😢 Hopefully we can revert it somehow and bring some beautiful woodlands back 💚💪🏻
haha. Connor and Hank always have such an interesting/entertaining dynamic. I'm 100% with Connor in enjoying the journey instead on focusing on the destination! Keep up the great work gents!
“It’s quite hilly’ - THANK YOU! Some ‘professional’ opinion that helps back up what I know about my Dartmoor backyard. Fun to see some of what I cycle - even if the order of shots is a bit odd at times.
I live in a similar area to this rain forest, but more inland in south-west Germany. Higher average rainfall, often very humid and even some sections of protected woodland. For anyone interested, the area is between Neustadt and Kaiserslautern. Just don't forget to bring insect repellent. It's a rainforest after all.
Great to meet you guys before you camped which by the way was on the sticklepath fault line that crosses Devon from Bude where there is a world famous geological zigzag fault. Dartmoor was made up by molten rock being forced up from the earths crust but never broke the surface and it was only after millions of years of erosion that what we know as tors were exposed. This area is used each year for schools to do the 10 tors challenge. Well done on completing your journey and look forward to our paths crossing again. Regards tim
Glorious video. I enjoy watching Hank and Conor a ton. There's a chemistry there that's very relatable and wonderful. I'd love to see these two attempt the Kokopelli Trail in my neighborhood of Utah/Colorado. More bikepacking videos please. Cheers!
The music! You really leaned into the cows, I keep expecting Clint Eastwood, with a cheroot clamped in his teeth to step into the scene. Long live Sergio Leone!❤
A stunning adventure. Thanks for taking us along. Warning!!! If word gets out, this may end up a tourist destination and masses will descend on it to take selfies. 😃
Great fun video guys... It was nice to be able to live vicariously through you and go on a much needed adventure in a wonderful place. Perhaps share some equipment and food choices sometimes as that's all a part of what makes the experience. Kudos for stressing the importance of caring for the environment and NOT leaving rubbish behind / damaging things whilst out adventuring. These kinds of videos are my GCNs favorites. Thank you.
Agree, add videos on bikepacking equipment (on and off bike), food choices, tips/tricks, etc. to the travelogues. As suggested in another comment above, this could be its own "channel," the Global Bikepacking Network.
Love the duality of Connor. Saying that Hank ride in an inefficient way but he place a big bag, a mug and a another bag on top of the stem all in front and sticking outside his profile, making him so much efficient as Hank 😂
You guys should come to Rwanda! It's called the Land of a 1000 Hills for a reason! There's a bikepacking race every year in February - 1000km, 18000m elevation and a 5 day limit to complete. I've done a bikepacking trip of the whole country on my own, and I aim to do the race next year!
I live on Dartmoor and it's great to see it's not just me that thinks it's brutal. I watch you guys smash out 200km epic rides in your films all the time and meanwhile, round here, I'm finished after 50 😂
"England's last rainforest"? I know you guys don't get up north all that often but don't forget the Cumbrian rainforest! Cracking ride though in spite of the small oversight 😉
I've been looking forward to this since you announced it at the GCN show. Did not disappoint! I hope the rainforest survives for decades to come. Entertaining and great visuals. Thank you!
I’ve done the Devon coast to coast a couple of times (which you go on for a bit of this journey). Much easier and flatter (as it mostly follows old railway tracks) and traffic free much of the way. I thoroughly recommend it.
Super video, this is the joy of riding a bike and made better when you watch two mates in a glorious setting having fun. I can see that forest becoming jammed with cyclists now! 😁, it does look very inviting. If you think those climbs are brutal, come to North of England, we will show you brutal climbs, and some epic scenery 😁👍
Looks gorgeous, would love to do this type of semi rugged bike packing. I have to say the concept of 950 square kilometres being big is hilarious by Canadian standards though haha

One for my bucket list! Would like to get the Komoot route.
You two have a great job. I've been through south west English by car, absolutely beautiful. I'd love to ride through it, gotta put it on my bucket list, problem though, I'm into my second bucket. Another great video from GCN.
Hank, we believe we saw your family members and old family home on an English ghost show. It was fun and we were tickled to see it. I think the filming must have been done quite a while ago. The coast to coast looks like an awesome ride. I love riding gravel bikes on what is traditionally mountain bike trail. I ride them on green and blue trails. Black and double black still require actual trail mtbs. 🤣👍🏼🚴🏼♀️
I can't be the only one who watched the opening minutes and saw the route and elevation gain and thought.. I'd do that in reverse. (maybe the lazy way). Save my legs from the climbs and probably enjoy it a little more. Great vid
My neck of the woods - I'm always out on those trails. You will have ridden right past Ditsworthy Warren House, where Warhorse was filmed! Connor missed an opportunity for another fact! Great film, thanks.
Great video, brings back a lot of cycle touring memories, good and bad! Devon is beautiful for sure, but an absolute nightmare to ride around. You are either going up or down. And everything is so steep, the north coast and into Somerset especially, the mere thought of Porlock Hill gives me anxiety attacks lol
That looked great but, I recon, felt terrible. There are, I hope even in Britain, better and more beautiful routes than that. But great effort, superb destination and thank you for unwittingly(?) explaining the point of the gravel bike.
Great video, loved it. Should do the Cabot Trail (285 kms),all paved road, through the Cape Breton Highlands. Great views of the highlands and the ocean.
Great video. You started at Bovisand. Wish I had known that I could have met up and shown you around the area, some great cycling. Maybe next time. Great film though, over Dartmoor Exmoor and down the hill to the sea. 👍🚴😃
Would you love to go on a bikepacking adventure like this one? 😍
More of this!!
Makes me look forward to the 1000 kilometer round-trip Shikoku Circuit with my wife.
Absolutely
With Hank? For sure.
Loved the video, but if I were to do it, I would want an alternative to camping
Happy to see another episode of The Adventures of Giraffe and Spaniel!
Another amazing Hankism. "It doesn't get dark until night". ..
I mean, he’s not wrong, that is what Hank is about.
"it doesn't get dark until nine" 😅
Wonderful, joyous video. 2 mates having a bloody good laugh, taking the p!ss out of each other and just enjoying the adventure. Really great to see/hear the messages of respecting the landscape and being responsible in your treatment of it. Excellent work GCN.
If your intent with this travelogue was to make a gal who's never gone bikepacking WANT to go bikepacking, you succeeded. But only if I can go with chums as cool as Hank and Conor. Or Conor and Hank.
Beautiful coast to coast. Yes Connor, Lets protect these irreplaceable wild places for generations to come. Well Said.
🌲❤
Conor's happiness is infectious
Thank you for letting us know. We’ll put him in quarantine 😷
This video in search of England's last rainforest is one of your best in recent years.
Conors touring ones always are
my fav videos are the bikepacking ones
The best!
Great video! My 12 year old son and I were so inspired. It got the two of us taking and now we’re planning something for next summer. Maybe 90 miles over two days, but with hotels instead of camping. Finally a bike packing trip, where it’s not cold and rainy, well done chaps 👌
Love the bike-packing films in the UK… more please. 👍🏻
haha. Connor and Hank always have such an interesting/entertaining dynamic. I'm 100% with Connor in enjoying the journey instead on focusing on the destination! Keep up the great work gents!
The sense of friendship WE spectators get watching you is really Heart warming.
Another epic video I think everyone watches with a massive grin on their face, thanks for taking us along for the adventure 😄
There is another rainforest in the UK, in Borrowdale up in the Lake District - another stunning place for bikepacking
I'm from Latvia. Your rainforest look like my whole country :D Anyway enjoyed the video, thanks.
“It’s quite hilly’ - THANK YOU! Some ‘professional’ opinion that helps back up what I know about my Dartmoor backyard. Fun to see some of what I cycle - even if the order of shots is a bit odd at times.
What a wonderful father and son trip for these two.
I love these videos. Glad you’re making them again.🚲
Entertainment value = 10
You guys need your own channel so you could do more of these types of videos.
Love this, just two mates having a laugh on a bike ride. It’s what it’s all about 👍
I hope the British people see the value in preserving this rain forest for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. Great video.
This was so beautiful and inspiring, you even got the storytime by the campfire!
I live in a similar area to this rain forest, but more inland in south-west Germany. Higher average rainfall, often very humid and even some sections of protected woodland.

I just love watching yall having a bit of banter and enjoying a tour on the bike. Makes me want to hop on the bike rn aswell
Glorious video. I enjoy watching Hank and Conor a ton. There's a chemistry there that's very relatable and wonderful. I'd love to see these two attempt the Kokopelli Trail in my neighborhood of Utah/Colorado. More bikepacking videos please. Cheers!
So awesome. Connor and Hank are a joy to watch, love this content. Big kids having fun on bikes, watching this keeps me young 😊
What a cool video. Love the banter and chemistry between Conor and Hank. This kind of videos is truly fun and inspiring to watch.
Loved, loved this so much😍 Thanks to all the GCN team for this superb content👊
The music! You really leaned into the cows, I keep expecting Clint Eastwood, with a cheroot clamped in his teeth to step into the scene. Long live Sergio Leone!❤
More GCN Bike Packing trips!!!! Love the adventure video's. Don't forget about British Columbia's rainforests! they are worth a visit and a video! ;)
Makes me want to visit. Scenery is so beautiful.
these hank and connor adventures are truly the best
A stunning adventure. Thanks for taking us along. Warning!!! If word gets out, this may end up a tourist destination and masses will descend on it to take selfies. 😃
Great video, the bikepacking ones are my favourite!
Hank and Connor started off as enemies and ended up as friends!
There's a fine line between love and hate ❤
Camping at Dartmoor is Definitely an Experience everyone should try.
It's Pure Bliss at 5am, when the Sun is Rising 🌞☀️
Still can't believe they outlawed it :/
fantastic! what a great duo for this ride. thank you!
Need an epic bikepacking tour with all the presenters, especially Ollie (and no glamping cheating)
You two are hilarious! 😂 Hank couldn’t be less interested in the geographical points of interest 😂
Oh, you’re underestimating Hank’s indifference!
One thing I learned from cycling across northern Spain this summer was that there is always a climb out of the lunch stop.
@@maxwood-tl9iv to be honest in Spain there's always a climb.
Connor and Hank monsters quite an amazing adventure so great to see you guys out there
Brilliant presentation @gcn! Unbelievable views and great camera work! Loving the 4K content!!
More like these please!
Really lovely footage of the scenery. It was a joy to watch.
Loving the longer form content - great ride and beautiful camera work. Thanks GCN! :)

Good effort you two!! I live in Devon and often ride across Dartmoor, the hills are tough but its so beautiful. Thank you for bringing it to life 🙏
Love the duality of Connor. Saying that Hank ride in an inefficient way but he place a big bag, a mug and a another bag on top of the stem all in front and sticking outside his profile, making him so much efficient as Hank 😂
the mug is mandatory for bike packing! I just bought an extra nice one to replace my boring mug to decorate my bike bags
Coming home from a nice ride and then watching the newest GCN video is like the perfect Sunday.
Perfect sunday from to👉
The forest is beautiful. It's amazing the landscape that was destroyed by those invasive woolly buggers
Two mates having the best bike packing fun in a beautiful part of the country, great video guys
It's so beautiful. I feel at home. Thanks for sharing this great journey.

Great video, love that part of England. It did make me laugh, Hank talking about the Crown Jewels as Connor’s were pretty well on display 😂
Great video guys!! One of the best, brilliant!!
"England's last rainforest"? I know you guys don't get up north all that often but don't forget the Cumbrian rainforest! Cracking ride though in spite of the small oversight 😉
Borrowdale FTW!
So inspiring. Need to message a few mates who might be up for a wild adventure!
These videos are amazing! Love the GCN+ style videos. Keep them coming.
Thanks! Will do!
One pair of numpties haha not two 😂
Cracking video! Thanks for sharing and looked loads of fun!
This is why I got a bike. To get out and explore this beautiful world.
Hank and Conor act like siblings 😂
I've been looking forward to this since you announced it at the GCN show. Did not disappoint! I hope the rainforest survives for decades to come. Entertaining and great visuals. Thank you!

I absolutely love these videos. Well done.
This makes me want to travel to England and do this trip 😍
What a great ride. Thanks for sharing. That rainforest looks a lot like the trails we have here in Canada. Conor and Hank are a great duo to watch.
Looks gorgeous, would love to do this type of semi rugged bike packing. I have to say the concept of 950 square kilometres being big is hilarious by Canadian standards though haha
One for my bucket list!
Would like to get the Komoot route.
Love these adventure rides, well done!!
This was infectiously hilarious and inspiring.
Fantastic.

A Withnail hommage slipped in there. Excellent!
This year gcn of video lots of family or love stories :). Awesome
I can't be the only one who watched the opening minutes and saw the route and elevation gain and thought.. I'd do that in reverse. (maybe the lazy way). Save my legs from the climbs and probably enjoy it a little more. Great vid
They are riding coast to coast. Elevation gain will be the same in the opposite direction
I would have loved have seen this same film done in long format. I could watch a 3 hour special of this epic trip.
My neck of the woods - I'm always out on those trails. You will have ridden right past Ditsworthy Warren House, where Warhorse was filmed! Connor missed an opportunity for another fact! Great film, thanks.
Thank you. That was wonderful.
Conor: That there's a tor you can take for granite ... heh heh heh
Hank: That's good to know.
This is what we live for... adventure.
Lovely video - gorgeous scenery and inspiring. Great work

So cool to see our back yard, can’t believe the teacher didn’t mention Dartmoor prison in the distance as you left Princetown!!
Great to watch another bike packing saga, connor do you need to take a map reading course from SAS , rather than the boy scouts. Great vid as well
Great to see my home area. 😀 Please do more videos in Devon and Cornwall. It’s fantastic cycling in this part of Britain.
Great fun, boys. You make suffering look like a good time. More please 🙌😂😁
i love my scenary thats one of the best video`s ive ever seen green everywhere great effort lads.
Love this dynamic duo! More trips, please!
Know this area well! That climb out of Chagford is an absolute stinker
Really enjoyed this video, love adventure stuff!
'I didn't sign up to bike pack with my geography teacher!' 🤣🤣🤣 Love Hank
what a lovely landscape
Great video, loved it. Should do the Cabot Trail (285 kms),all paved road, through the Cape Breton Highlands. Great views of the highlands and the ocean.
Great video.
You started at Bovisand.
Wish I had known that I could have met up and shown you around the area, some great cycling.
Maybe next time.
Great film though, over Dartmoor Exmoor and down the hill to the sea.
👍🚴😃
