Oh my goodness, that made me cry. Absolutely incredible! It made me think of the man who previously said in the comments that you were bonkers to leave Cumbria, and that he could never leave it. I can remember giving him a very polite telling off. I hope he's watching this. What an adventure you're both having, and thank you so much for sharing. Loved this video, amazing filming as always. So glad Sarah said she is scared of the dark and doesn’t like forests at night I thought I was the only person who has always been afraid of the dark and hates woodland at night! Fab scenery hope you are staying warm

Yes it makes such a difference, once we did we felt like we could ease into our style of trip so much more. It's definitely tougher filming in the cold but we are so passionate about these films, even freezing fingertips can't stop us 😅

Well it was worth the wait really enjoyed it. Found the episode to be quite a spiritual experience. I did feel that the background music when you were in the Check forrest had a sadness feeling to it just how it made me feel not sure why. Enjoy your adventure I did the same 40 yrs ago at the age of 22 years for two yrs . There was no technology like there is today only me my bike and my camera. It was the most life changing thing I have ever done now iam a old man I smile lots for you both ❤

From watching your first video way back when until now with the anticipation of this day, probably the biggest in your outdoor life, has been a great journey for me too 🙂
With regards to the ghostly ghouls behind every tree, just remember Sarah that whatever is in the woods in daytime is all that is there during nighttime too. It's just that the sounds are amplified at night!
And Josh, sleep with next day's cycling clothes in the footwell of your sleeping bag, they'll be warm in the morning 😉

It also reminded me that these adventures are not always about the views, but the random people you meet
A wee bit of advice (you may already know this) but when camping in the cold, Once you've changed into what your sleeping in, before getting into the sleeping bag get outside do some exercises just enough to warm up the core of your body, then get into your sleeping bag, this way the bag will keep the heat in, don't get sweaty exercising though, I got told this by a fellow cyclist at a campsite and it made such a difference

Dear Josh & Sarah, What a lovely surprise to see you back on this enchanting bike ride (while staying warm;) I must admit that I'm having a hard time with the climate cooling we're experiencing, and it's become a phobia because we're powerless. Your drone footage is hypnotically beautiful! I loved the sequence with Sarah biting into the chocolate but oops, there's like a second layer in there... In French-speaking countries, we have a cultural reference to the humorous masterpiece: ‘Le Père Noël est une Ordure’ (1982) in which there's a bit of the same scene:) Your cinematic vision takes us on a magical journey! Please be careful once you get to India, especially Sarah
Cycling in India is IMO no more dangerous than cycling in the UK, Eastern Europe or Turkey - avoid the main roads whereever possible, assume other road users will do something stupid, follow what the locals do and watch out for poor road surfaces. That there is no good cycle routing (e.g. Garmin) in India is a problem, but there are some excellent routes if planned properly, and generally every main road has a service road next to it used by slower traffic which is very lightly trafficked. There is absolutely no reason for women to be any more careful than men in India.
