Those Callouts in German are a Godsend. Not only for Immersion, but also because the Commander helps me figure out where the targets are, and with the awful sights of East-Block vehicles, this is so helpful.
Ngl the voices are so uncanny when panicked, I shiver more hearing these lines when panicked compared to the American ones, especially when I see a missle making a b line for me. the voice actors did wonders for the germans, can't wait for the western german lines
To me, it really illustrates the pointlessness of war: Just a bunch of panicked young men fighting for their life inside a metal box to kill equally panicked young men in a different metal box.
I'm Brazilian and sorry for the question that may seem trivial to you. Is there too much of a difference between West German and East German for more lines to be dubbed?
@@Girls_und_Panzer_Brasil After WW2 Germany was devided. Western Germany was occupied by the USA, France and te UK, east was occupied by the soviets. During the Cold War, western germany was a member of the NATO, hence western equipment and english voice lines. Eastern Germany was part of the Warsaw Pact. The people on both side called themselves Germans, spoke the same language in private, but the difference in allies and doctrine means different languages spoken during conflict
I dont really know german, i'd love to, ngl, but i always was fascinated with German VO's in games, i haven't seen one bad example of bad German VA in games
Am I the only one who thinks they shout too frequently even compared to real tank crews? You can find footage with tank crew comms and they know when to shut up even in the heat of a fight rather than saying "TRAVERSE LEFT TRAVERSE LEFT TRAVERSE LEFT IDENTIFIED TRAVERSE LEFT".
@@NorthernNorthdude91749 talking to yourself? Because no, tank crews do not spam the same two words infinitely. You’re just wrong. They communicate clearly and concisely. You don’t sit somewhere hiding watching a target and continuously yell traverse left. Nonsensical.

@@soliitudegaming7275 Well, putting the words of the veteran aside, their voices only start panicking and yelling as the target continually survives more rounds, or when there are more than one. Which would certainly be panicking to experience out in the real field. They will communicate, yes, but they are still human beings, and they are sitting at the edge of their deaths. Ofcourse they'll scream.
@@omygod8637 yea you missed the point entirely. A crew that is calmly waiting in the woods for the right time to strike would not be screaming traverse left 5000 times in a row. That’s just factually false. It’s literally a robotic voice line loop, not realistic at all. Crews panic and voice information at times where that behaviour makes sense (under high stress). In GHPC your crew could be totally safe and secure and shouting like a bunch of school children. It’s NOT authentic. A crew member would relay the information and then pause, not spam the same voice line over and over again for literally infinite time. If you leave you game open for a year they will literally spam it for a year.
This makes East German missions much more enjoyable. About 400% more enjoyable.
