If it’s any consolation being “the first friend” to be approached is still a compliment. Usually, the first bro also has to have some interest before making the first move for the group to follow.
As such, they see the first friend to be the most approachable, friendly, and possibly the most open-minded, and instinctually holds them in some regard due to that, as the entire interaction of groups essentially rides on how the first plays out.
