    Matara said similar when she started, but more on the fact of how shocking it was that with Vshojo, when she says to the managers that she wants to do something, they're all instantly on-board, asking if she needs art, music, etc, and it just took her by complete surprise compared to what she was used to.
    It says a hell of a lot about Niji that managers actually supporting their talents feels bizarre to her.

      I think Nijisanji and VShojo are the two opposite sides of the spectrum. Nijisanji is like the old music label boss.

      well compared with what they can say vs holo they do, but holo treats their employees a little better. Phase Connect Idol or Vshojo are better though in terms of almost everything.
      Vshojo has clique like Niji and you won't enter if not already hugely succesful and friend with people inside.
      Phase and Idol are less famous so getting known is harder, the initial fanbase and growth will be less.
      All of those three have less experience and contacts in terms of 3d concerts and such but if you are not a singing artist getting into holo, does not seem worth cause you will be very restrained in eveything else you can do and in niji, nowadays, it does not make sense to try to enter unless extremely desperate.

      @ToonLinkHox 8 месяцев назад +27

      @@FiredAndIced not sure about the religious bit, but the EN chain goes something like this :
      -Zaion is terminated for various reasons, several of which boil down to "resisting Niji tyranny". Sayu leaks just about everything people are now accepting as the truth, but back then most considered outright slander. Those who listened become more skeptical, but the overall public impression remains mostly the same.
      -Nina graduates. First NijiEN liver to even HAVE a graduation stream.
      -Mysta graduates. He was scheduled to graduate months earlier, even ahead of Nina, but personally chose to release his first original song beforehand. Redebuts as Kuro. Makes several comments regarding Niji work environment, on top of his previous thinly veiled complaints as Mysta. Those in the know feel vindicated, public opinion begins to sour.
      -Matara joins VShojo. Her astonishment at the difference in work environment is plain to see. Public opinion is rapidly approaching point of no return.
      -Mika graduates and goes quiet. She claims not to know what she'll do after retirement, but most people already speculate she'll move to VShojo, since they've basically earned their "Niji rehab facility" and "VTuber retirement home" labels after Kuro and Matara.
      -Sometime around Mika's graduation, the Selen megayab happens. Selen is forced into silence. Speculations abound due to NijiEN's tumultuous history regarding stealth suspensions. A few months later, she is officially and unceremoniously terminated. Everyone is outraged. Doki follows in Sayu's footsteps and releases her side of the story. Thanks to her excellent standing in the broader community and overall longer experience in NijiEN (debuted merely a month after Lazulight), as well as Niji's already low reputation by that point, the truth is now accepted as such. Sayu's story is recontextualized and far more readily accepted, now considered a warning that went unheeded. Niji continues to blunder, even remarking that the entire situation's consequences would be "negligible". Everyone with half a brain disengages from Niji entirely. Shares plummet.
      -Michi joins VShojo. [YOU ARE HERE]
      Omitted but just as relevant are Yugo (now Unnämed) and Pomu (now Mint)'s graduations; while important, the talents mostly chose not to comment on their previous situation much. Omitted and irrelevant is Kyo's graduation.

      Yep. A real and genuine psychological effect. Spend long enough in any situation and your brain rewires it as "normal", and typically normal is seen as positive, I suspect due to familiarity being wired as "safe". "The devil that you know is better than the one you don't", as the saying goes. So past a point, even people in horrible situations will feel SOME degree of safety within the comforting blankets of being ruthlessly abused. And so when they leave it, some might want it back to varying degrees. But once a genuinely healthy environment becomes your new normal, you'll feel a level of comfort and safety that utterly eclipses the coping mechanism you relied on before.
      None of this is to say that this is what's necessarily happening to Michi. I have too little information to go on, and this seems to be different. But it can definitely happen to people in her position, even if it doesn't always.

      I think that literally started with the Founding members. For example Melody has Epilepsy, so can't play games with flashing lights, Mouse has so many medical problems but they all come down to one thing. Haruka is autistic and Zen has severe ADHD.
      By the time Kson joined Gunrun had to know that the needs of his streamers came first ad foremost.

      Well hopefully they learned their lesson from the drama with Nux and the Hogwarts Legacy disaster with Silvervale. They had basically no protection for their members at that point, and it really is sad because Silver is one of the original members, even before Vshojo was created, since her, Melody and Ironmouse had their own little group at one point until Vshojo was made.

    You know that philosophy about building a new ship from an old ship, but the question is, which is the original ship?
    I finally got an answer. It's the one that makes the crew happy

    • @michaeldaniels642
      @michaeldaniels642 8 месяцев назад +2

      You are talking about the Ship of Thesseus problem and that is not what you described. The Ship of Thesseus is that as the ship gets older boards rot and need to be replaced, eventually the entire ship will have been remade with new pieces, at that point is it still the ship of Thesseus?
      If you build a ship from pieces of another ship the original is the ship you took pieces from to build the new ship.
      That being said your point about the ship making the crew happy is a good point.

    Honestly I look at this and the only thing i feel is Sadness because Mint, Mata, Kson, Sayu, Doki and now Michi have all said the same thing and they really do all seem like they have almost lost a sense of self worth, the scariest one is mint, Michi doesn't seem too bad but she could just be hiding it better than everyone else.
    Really just goes to show what kind of enviroment that they were working in and Nijisanji should be ashamed of themselves for having such horrible management. I was a manager in security for 7 years before i physically couldn't do it anymore and if I said half the sh*t that Nijisanji management does id have gotten fired because everything would be a mess. A manager should be the ones making things run smoothly, not the ones that make everything a colossal goatf**k of a mess coated in sh*t and public statements.
    Also i just wanna say every time Michi said "Tomorrow" the only thing i could hear is the "TOMORROW!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" meme.
