In the past, some large-scale American movies would deliberately cast Chinese actors in order to please Chinese audiences. But usually there are only 1-2 minutes of footage. Now the Chinese are no longer interested in this.

Many Chinese LIKED Hollywood movies a lot but not so much anymore. From my point of view, there are two main reasons. The first one is Hollywood used to be able to produce different types of good movies but in recent years it just makes boring superhero movies repeatly. The other one is that Hollywood is too political correction right now. Well, I do not dare to explain further...

Noticeable changes in China's movie market: top box office films in recent years are Chinese movies made for the Chinese audiences. Much less Hollywood blockbusters on Chinese screens, especially around big holidays. Production value of Chinese movies and TV shows easily match and even surpass similar shows from Hollywood. Chinese cultural themes are more prominent, more futuristic, shaking off South Korean and Japanese influences. China still has much to learn from the US about projecting "soft-power" through entertainment. Many of these changes parallel "the East is rising, the West in decline." Chinese self-confidence is on the rise, reflected in Chinese movies and TV shows.

In the 1980s, in order to block the Soviet Union, the United States enlisted mainland China to block the Soviet Union. Taiwan was isolated and helpless in the world. By 2020, the rise of mainland China in economic, technological and military strength has caused panic in the United States and other Western worlds. It has begun to encourage Taiwan's independence government to fight against mainland China, hoping to sacrifice the lives of Taiwanese people and maintain the status quo of the United States first. As Taiwanese, the Chinese hope for freedom and peace, and they do not welcome the selfishness of the United States that sacrifices the lives of Taiwanese people in exchange for American selfishness.

In the past, Hollywood films often depicted Chinese characters in a negative light, limiting them to 4 roles: as cooks, servants, evil men, or prostitutes. Rarely were they given central roles, and when they were, it was typically as villains or nefarious characters. The notorious 1950s film "Fu Manchu" was about an evil Chinese gangster boss. That film had a lasting impact on me during my upbringing, leading me to believe that Chinese people were deceitful and secretive criminals. The recent 1964 film, "Dr.No", a James Bond film, showed a Chinese madman ready to blow up the world.
In the early 1970s, Bruce Lee, the world-famous Kung Fu master, was deeply disappointed when he was not cast as the lead actor in the TV show "Kung Fu," despite being born in San Francisco. The role went to David Carradine and the show became a major success. The show director gave the reason that, despite his popularity, he thought Bruce wasn't good at acting. Bruce's rejection for that role deeply affected him and his health, according to his wife.
Historically Hollywood films placed White actors in Asian roles (such as those films mentioned above) but nowadays, things have changed somewhat. The Chinese are given some roles as mad scientists such as in "Jurassic World". Also, a Chinese American film producer, Janet Yang,( born in Queens, NY), recently became President of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences. Still, Hollywood does not believe in giving a hero role nor a romantic role to any man from China or of Chinese heritage. To be sure, in modern days, these biased race casting decisions are driven not only by Jewish Hollywood directors but by Chinese financiers themselves. To them, they’ll do anything for money as stereotyping drives ticket sales, not political correctness. That is why I was surprised to see a clip of a Chinese "Rambo" film produced in China w/ a Chinese hero, something unseen, unheard of in the US.

However, with the addition of political correctness, Hollywood now has no market in China, and even if it is introduced to China, the attendance rate is still very low.

    Hollywood's spirit in China's body .
I can't count the number of Chinese films that I have seen (mainly on YT) and curiously in many cases, the Chinese film reminded me of one or more scenes from an American film but over time I realized that even low-budget American films were partially "inspired" by other American films partially, those with larger budgets and directly produced in Hollywood.
When we unconsciously copy others, we call it “inspiration”.

The final result was that the entire Western industry was destroyed by this excessive protectionism.
