I personally wrote off PE a couple of years ago as l saw the band play random venues in North Dakota. From 2017 through 2019 I was diagnosed with cancer and procedure with two separate Stem Cell transplants. Again and again, the thought of the band or it’s words and music never resonated for me. Fast forward into spring of 2022, I caught “Eye Of The Storm” as well as Trenches and Lions. At that point in time when I connected truly to the lyrics, it was at that point I began to truly deep look inside myself and push myself into a brand new direction. Add points in your life when you least expect it the message will come right to you. Respect anyone who raises and finds a new way. Let these lyrics take you home and start a new life.

I'm in a bitter divorce. My wife has turned my kids against me. Their 22 and 20, and their adults, but their under their moms rule. I have compliated suicide through this divorce. I know it's selfish and a cowards way out. But, I just want end my life so I'm out of pain. I know I can't because I'm not letting my kids grow up without me. My demons are right here with me everyday. I'm trying my damnest to fight back, but it feels like I'm losing my fight.

One thing I can say to offer some perspective is that in the same way you don't always need a classroom to be a teacher, a person doesn't need to be "religious" to know Christ as their savior in a friendship type way where you put your trust in Him and know that there's more to our existence than just this life and the trials we go through if we'll seek it out with an open heart.

I got out of a 3 year relationship, (longest I’ve ever been in) and we had a miscarriage and she ended up cheating on me and it’s been 8 months since and I’m just now finding this song. My god does it have a giant impact and help me push on through all the heartbreak and lonely nights.

I've had that experience with a number of bands, either thinking they were okay at best or not really paying any attention to them or whatever, but then seeing them live (usually if not always was going mainly for a different band), but ended up getting a lot more interested in them after seeing them live. Not sure what it is, or how common that is for others, but yeah it's definitely a tried and true thing for me! Cool to see another have that experience.

I had an abusive relationship complete sociopath dealt with addiction for 5 years came home got clean and my dad gets cancer I took care of him and kept him home until the end. I also take care of my mom who can’t walk and has ms eating her brain. I relapsed and just got clean again. Sometimes I feel my dad through music that comes on the radio, I heard this song then looked you guys up and saw torn to pieces & monster you made&& woww amazing. Eating disorders can be very isolating and lonely and honestly for you to reach out to me like this, a complete stranger When my own family don't even say things like this, means more to me than you could ever imagine.
I am really struggling and it is so easy to slip backwards and give up....
This song and kindness like your words give me the encouragement to take it day by day...and realise I have come a long way from where I was before.
But Anorexia is an evil b*tch she trys to entice you back to the darkside.
I would never wish this illness on anyone and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to try to overcome..especially when you feel worthless.

@@catherinewright20 I am glad I was able to help, I haven't gone through an eating disorder but I have been a junkie I've got 4 years off Heroin&meth. So it's not the same thing but the struggle and battle is the same evil! I'm sorry you don't have family that helps that is rough, the fact that you're still trying just goes to show how strong you are. I know it's just RUclips but if you ever need to talk I'm here. I had a best friend who was bulimic(not sure if that's how you spell it) and it's horrible to watch. You're in my thoughts and I wish for light to protect you and that you feel the love from me.
