This song hits deeeeeep. I’ve experienced some shit in my 35 years of life. Some good, some not so good. Most recently beat cancer. (God of course gets that credit) Cancer really changes your way of looking at life when you think you’re 10’ tall and bullet proof and have all the time in the world! Anyways, I’m a survivor and realized everything I ever wanted was right in front of me! Thanks Pop Evil, please keep producing music, all your songs are inspiring and have a good message behind them!

27 years old here....lost my mom in front of me when I was 17. At 19 had cancer. Went through chemotherapy and am luckily still here....your right. Cancer changes your perspective on life.....this song is powerful to me as well.
At the peak of my joy in life, a catastrophic accident changed everything & rendered me dead, twice. But here I am. I lived through a DRASTIC paradigm shift, but in this gimpy body, I still feel like the superhero I was before the accident. I love this song. It inspires so many of us.

They were just in Michigan with Shinedown!
I saw them with Devour the Day, Sevendust Dust, and Skillet in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 2019 and it was definitely an awesome concert!!!

Just heard this song and started crying. 4 years ago my kidneys failed ended up in the hospital for 4 days. Had dialysis treatment for 7 months, 3 days a week 3 hour sessions. One day the doctors called said to skip my next treatment, took blood the following day of dialysis. Doctors called again said to skip the week of dialysis and come in on Friday, took some blood test that day and I was told I don't need dialysis anymore. It's been a hard to stay healthy but I haven't been back to dialysis since. I survived but that doesn't mean I will stop, I will strive 💪
This song so speaks my language. I've almost been to the man upstairs twice yet I'm still here kicking ass n taking names. I AM A SURVIVER. Plain n simple.

I've been clinging to this song for the past year. I was diagnosed with colon cancer last September, had surgery in October to remove the tumor, and then started chemo in December. I had to have 12 rounds of chemo that involved a cocktail of three different chemos...one of which caused a higher sensitivity to the cold and one that was a 46-hour infusion that went home with me and then I'd have to go back two days later to get disconnected. Then I'd be back a week and a half later for the next round. My last disconnection was May 19th. I went for my first post chemo scan in June only to be told my uterus was enlarged and was sent to a gynecologist. She took a sample of the lining of the uterus to be tested. While this was happening, I had had to cancel an appointment to have a couple nodules on my thyroid biopsied because they were of a size to be concerned about. I could only deal with one cancer at a time. Well, the test of the uterus lining came back showing that I had endometrial cancer. Thankfully this cancer was unrelated to the colon cancer. I had to have a full hysterectomy, but that got the cancer and I didn't need more chemo and radiation. So, jump to last week and I finally got the nodules on my thyroid biopsied and had another CT scan to see how I was doing. The results of the biopsies came back benign and the CT scan showed no cancer to be seen anywhere. I'm happy to be able to say that at this time I'm cancer free. I'm still dealing with side effects from the chemo, but I'm feeling better and getting stronger all the time.
I've really come to like these guys. Once I learned that Leigh Kakaty is from Kingston Ontario Canada, I had to listen to more. Impressing me more and more. Great stuff guys.
Yeah, I relate to this song right now- somehow survived my bad memories, suicidal thoughts, and depression. God knows how I’m making it through this mess, but if I’m still here, that means I haven’t completed my purpose. We are all survivors in our own ways

I dedicate this song to all the survivors of the violent tornadoes in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee on December 10-11, 2021. This especially goes for the survivors of the horrific "Quad-State Tornado," which was the most violent in almost a decade, and had the longest track in almost a century.

Crazy story about that twister was me my girlfriend and my 1 year old we're with some family in Arkansas we had a earthquake couple days before by the Ozarks then we left and went back to NY bc of some family drama and the tornado happened right behind us as we were traveling back east. Nearly missed it we are survivors.
