Been to hundreds of concerts listen to all metal bands but just coming across nothing more this year you can still teach an old dog new tricks they are awesome 😎
I've listened to rock, alternative and pop punk for many years, but could never quite get into metal. It always felt too angry to me and I couldn't really comprehend the emotion behind it all or the artistry behind it. Over the past few years though (pretty much since the lockdowns started and I was left alone with my thoughts and feelings for a bit), my regular old music didn't really do what it used to do for me. I oscillated constantly between total numbness and extreme anger at the world and life in general. I never felt joy anymore. It reached a fever pitch after I lost 3 family members within the span of 6 months. At that point, I wanted nothing more than to get the anger OUT and not feel so damn alone all the time. I'd always been a very shy kid and feared thinking in this manner meant I was bad and that it was my moral obligation to just put on a brave face and keep going. That's where metal came into the picture. I don't remember when exactly it happened or what song it was, but a metal song was recommended to me on RUclips and I listened, really to the genre for the first time. Something about the music video really resonated with me, so I gave the music itself a chance too. I ended up going down a rabbit hole of suggested songs and saved a few to a playlist. I was initially still a little apprehensive about it, but I kept coming back to it, because it was the only music that resonated with me at all anymore. Metal served as an outlet for all these negative feelings and encouraged me to pay more attention to my mental health. Exploring the metal community, I found myself relating to these other people a lot and at that point in my life, connection and a feeling of belonging was something I desperately needed. Listening to metal, I was able to feel again, if just for short whiles at a time. I started listening to more and more metal and enjoying it immensely. I can say that today, I'm a certified metalhead who can listen to just about anything. My mental health is in a much better spot and I've started attending therapy, which has been extremely beneficial to me. I also started taking better care of my physical health, getting into weightlifting (sound tracked by my metal playlist, of course). I've made a bunch of metalhead friends and a few of us are considering picking up some instruments and forming a band. I've retained my core self that I've always been (which I'm incredibly grateful for), but I've improved my life in so many other ways. I credit a large part of this change in lifestyle, perspective and emotional maturity to metal, along with the things metal led me to (therapy, fitness, community). I always think back to the original few bands that acted as my gateway to this world and appreciate them so much. If I hadn't found their music then, I do not know whether I would still be here today to type this message. Slipknot, iwrestledabearonce, Spiritbox, SeeYouSpaceCowboy..., While She Sleeps, Knocked Loose, Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Sleep Token, Wage War and Bad Omens all hold a very special place in my heart and I always get a smile on my face when one of their songs come up. Now, to the reason for this very longwinded comment: Two bands that featured prominently in my playlist that I haven't mentioned yet were Nothing More and I Prevail. This collaboration is brilliant. I think this has genuine potential for metal song of the year. It carries special significance to me though, because it's the product of one of my favourite bands and a member of my other favourite band. You guys have me sitting here grinning like an idiot. I'm so incredibly happy to be listening to this and feel incredibly fortunate to be alive to hear this. Thank you for this song! I love it so much and couldn't have asked for a better surprise to come across my feed 3 days ago. I've had this on repeat since launch. you guys likely get thousands of comments stating similar things, but please know that you guys make a major impact in peoples' lives and we are grateful for that. Rock on, fellas \m/>.
Thanks for sharing. So awesome for hear how the music and the genre connected with you in such a way, and at such a time in your life. I echo many of the same feelings in my own life and my connection to heavy music. Much love 🤘🏻
@@bondvabond you should check out the bands Boundaries, Alpha Wolf, Polaris, Silent Planet, Fit For a King, Bloom (might be easier to find them with the album title Maybe in Another Life), Currents and Hollow Front if you vibe with all those bands you named - you have likely heard a few of them already on your journey, but I feel you might find yourself meeting some new loves ❤️ happy moshing
@@bondvabond messages like this are the reasons why i still always check the comments here on RUclips. It became therapeutic and necessary for my mental health during the pandemic since I live in the sticks of rural Idaho and my circle of people had become almost non existent (coincidentally, at the time, I was experiencing the loss of many people in my life; friends...family...and the woman I thought was for me and the mother of my child...) So thank you for this...your introspection and personal growth is inspiring and helpful on so many levels. It gives me reassurance and motivates me, helps me to connect and relate to my own struggles and progression. Im glad you found what you needed to allow your perspective to evolve and help balance the emotions you experienced. The metal rabbit hole is a bittersweet process, but im genuinely grateful it exists and gives people like us an opportunity to connect and utilize that outlet it can provide. That and it just sounds fucking cool. I hope you continue on your path and you find what you need my friend. If you havent heard these ones yet then I just want to recommend and hope you enjoy: Nothing More - let em burn Metallica - disposable heroes CKY - familiar realm Nonpoint - explain yourself Fair To Midland - dancing manatees Leo ....(crap i forgot his last name) - feel good inc. Ozzy Osbourne - bark at the moon ...just a few of my favorites. Take care!
@@JonnyNM1986 Let Em Burn was my introduction to you guys... for various reasons that song is one that will stay with me forever. I love the music Nothing More creates... but specifically, I wanted to say thank you for creating that masterpiece. I look forward to many more and wish you guys the best! take care
About time NM gets some popular notice. They've kicked ass for over a decade and it's like nobody knows them. Thanks Eric for your collaboration! I love both y'all and this is such a vibe🖤
The references and nods in their lyrics are peak. The expansion they made on the biblical iteration of the ones who built their houses on things was really intriguing
AI slop intro aside, Nothing More has a unique aura about them that always made them stand out from the rest of the modern alternative metal bands. Respect. Great tune.
Agreed, the AI intro does no favors to the video and they don't even re-use the imagery later on in the video, so it feels very tacked on. I don't understand why Nothing More would work with AI imagery at all since their entire protest vibe doesn't jive with that low-effort prompt stuff. Especially when you get lyrics from them like "all my friends are dead, they all got fucked by the internet" which is what AI art is doing to the internet, fucking it up. Bot content, and low effort AI trash is ruining art spaces and twisting people's understanding of artistry in general. Nothing More would hate it if someone trained an algorithm on their music, how is the image version any different?
They got one song that will literally make you cry. It's the last track on the album that has the song "jenny" (which is also a sad af song). This band is incredible
That opening sequence is probably the most stunning set of images that the music industry has delivered. Simply beatiful and expertly done. Kudos to the visual artists.
@@guvalflores Welp, follow your own advice. The guy who made the intro wrote this on their webstie: "As of 2024, I'm all in on AI content creation. ". Such a shame , the imagery is fantastic. But it's AI nonsense and let's be honest, there wasn't really cohesive theme in the images anyway. It felt like a portfolio. Extra scummy that IMDB lists them mostyl as a director in projects. So seems like that they have a vision that they could have hired real artists to bring to life. But no, they use AI because it's cheaper. While being hired by other artists. What a great year we live in.
Nothing More continue to evolve as the best rock band to hit the airwaves over the last decade. America and the world need to get off the ocean floor, Open their eyes and ears to this amazing band And their live performances…. AMAZING
Wasn't a fan of the last album, but this one seems MUCH better and a return to form for them. This sounds like Nothing More, but more importantly, it FEELS like Nothing More.
@SmokeWithMeInCT Of what? Dude's clearly earned his body, and his right to show it off. Just thought it was funny that he's basically never wearing a shirt.
Man i really hope this could be the lead to a collaborative tour between Nothing More and I Prevail. Both bands are incredible live and it'd be a dream to see them as co-headliners
Ever see an older video of the band you're currently watching pop up in the suggested vids and go, 'Holy hell. How have I been listening to this band for 15 years already!?' I cannot believe 'The Few Not Fleeting' came out in 2009... And they just get better and better.
My God, has 2015 come around again? This is an amazing example of a band evolving their music without losing the soul that got so many of us into them in the first place. This is an album I can safely say I canNOT wait to hear! Much love to the band and all the fellow fans coming back for some more stellar tunes!

@@JonnyNM1986 Well this is a nice surprise. Made my day to see this :D Thanks for the art you create man! Much love 🤘
If you havent heard these ones yet then I just want to recommend and hope you enjoy:
Nothing More - let em burn
Metallica - disposable heroes
CKY - familiar realm
Nonpoint - explain yourself
Fair To Midland - dancing manatees
Leo ....(crap i forgot his last name) - feel good inc.
Ozzy Osbourne - bark at the moon
...just a few of my favorites.
Take care!
@@JonnyNM1986 Let Em Burn was my introduction to you guys... for various reasons that song is one that will stay with me forever. I love the music Nothing More creates... but specifically, I wanted to say thank you for creating that masterpiece. I look forward to many more and wish you guys the best! take care
This band has saved me multiple times. This song was what helped me move on
About time NM gets some popular notice. They've kicked ass for over a decade and it's like nobody knows them. Thanks Eric for your collaboration! I love both y'all and this is such a vibe🖤
they going from B ti to A list band soon
Man Jonny and Eric’s vocals freaking kill it on this damn song love it!!!
I can't believe this band isn't more popular..
They're songs are amazing
This is my favorite song on this album. Who else agrees?!?
Everything about this song is absolutely incredible. The art, the editing, the music, the BLEGHS. Love this song!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG OMG
What a journey! Fantastic
The references and nods in their lyrics are peak. The expansion they made on the biblical iteration of the ones who built their houses on things was really intriguing
AI slop intro aside, Nothing More has a unique aura about them that always made them stand out from the rest of the modern alternative metal bands. Respect. Great tune.
Are we talking about the audio or visuals with ai
@@bayleyedwards3699 oh nah just the visuals. Although ironically the song on Spotify doesn't have the intro either and it's better for it.
@@Dwesk pretty sure the intro is CARNAL, the opening song/fill
@@bayleyedwards3699 looked at the tracklist and yes that would make sense :)
Nothing More keeps coming back to me as the most relatable shit. Feels nice. God bless these dudes.
Amo Nothing more!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
never heard of these guys before but holy fuck, its heavy, its atmospheric and the chorus is almost making me cry, This singer is amazing
They got one song that will literally make you cry. It's the last track on the album that has the song "jenny" (which is also a sad af song). This band is incredible
@@josflorida5346God Went North is the name of the song.
@@JalimRabeikkkkk fade in fade out
@JalimRabeikkkkk I mixed up albums. "The stories we tell ourselves" album. For some reason I thought Jenny was on that one. 😅
That opening sequence is probably the most stunning set of images that the music industry has delivered. Simply beatiful and expertly done. Kudos to the visual artists.
It's all AI generated. Made by a computer within seconds or minutes. No artist.
@Pred. You have nothing to back that statement up at all kiddo, people did that stuff before ai, it's probably all makeup and real video
It's not the best but it is cool
@@Pred. Dude, the credits for the artist are in the video description. Just follow the link...
This is going to age like fine wine with time. See y'all in a few years!! Much Love and Blessings upon you.
The best band out there! Hands down
Nothing More continue to evolve as the best rock band to hit the airwaves over the last decade.
America and the world need to get off the ocean floor, Open their eyes and ears to this amazing band
And their live performances…. AMAZING
This band can do no wrong! Sooo good
Saw Nothing More at Louder Than Life I couldn't wait 💚
Sitting in a puddle of mud, wondering why my dude isnt here like he promised.,... So needed this ❤
Sorry to hear, I hope it will end up okay!
Wasn't a fan of the last album, but this one seems MUCH better and a return to form for them. This sounds like Nothing More, but more importantly, it FEELS like Nothing More.
If all their songs had a mix of cleans and screams like this song, they'd be metalcore band of the year for sure!❤
Man those vocals are immaculate, the lyrics are just icing on the cake!
The rest of the band is absolutely talented too!
It's time for that new album
The whole album is sooooo good.
They ALWAYS deliver Quality Music
Out-fucking-standing!! Plus Ultra!
My guy is allergic to shirts, though. 😂
@SmokeWithMeInCT Of what? Dude's clearly earned his body, and his right to show it off.
Just thought it was funny that he's basically never wearing a shirt.
He doesn't need a shirt❤
Might as well call him randy bobandy
And the world is better for it lol
And shoes lol, great band though
I would love this version on Spotify tbh the intro and build up made the main riff hit so damn hard.
Can't be Nothing More without Allen Watts
Man i really hope this could be the lead to a collaborative tour between Nothing More and I Prevail. Both bands are incredible live and it'd be a dream to see them as co-headliners
I've been in love with this band since the first time I heard them, they're truly special and unique 🤘🤘
Ever see an older video of the band you're currently watching pop up in the suggested vids and go, 'Holy hell. How have I been listening to this band for 15 years already!?' I cannot believe 'The Few Not Fleeting' came out in 2009...
And they just get better and better.
This is the nothing more we need more of.
That chorus is PHENOMENAL! Johnnys voice is crazy good. The video is award worthy. The visuals are so perfect. Great banger guys!
The algorithm blessed me once more.
Didn't bless me, and I am subscribed to this channel. I think I complained about it in the past and now it hates me.
@@TheSmartPorcupineIt's not your fault
My God, has 2015 come around again? This is an amazing example of a band evolving their music without losing the soul that got so many of us into them in the first place. This is an album I can safely say I canNOT wait to hear!
Much love to the band and all the fellow fans coming back for some more stellar tunes!
