Great guest and podcast, interesting to hear how the landscape is changing in your countries. I find this and all your podcast, make me think about myself and my life. Your podcast at least for me, teach or show more than taking photo's.
This was a really interesting philosophical conversation. One thing that occurred to me listening is that I think one thing that’s lacking in English is a clear definition of ‘wilderness’. In the dictionary it states simply that wilderness is space that is occupied only by wildlife, in which case Scotland has plenty of it. I always qualify it as how unspoilt the place is. Of course that’s also open to debate, in that even vast wild spaces like in British Columbia were occupied by various species (such as the Colombian Mammoth and sabre toothed cat) prior to the arrival of the first humans, suggesting that the default, unspoiled state of Canada is maybe not closed canopy forest everywhere. Anyhow, thanks for a good listen.
Another brilliant podcast. Lots to think about ❤
