I always enjoy hearing how people use and approach photography. It's one of the great things about your podcast. It's more than just taking nice pictures.
Charming lady, really enjoyed this podcast. I just listened to this for a second time, and a lot of what she is saying, I can relate too, and I am seeing me and my life in a different way. I can now see how solitude in my younger years is what I needed to make me happy. I hope if possible to bring Ruth back on again.
I really enjoyed this podcast. I deal with depression and anxiety plus I have ADHD. I find that mindfulness photography very interesting. I would love to find out more about her program and if there is anything similar in the United States. I couldn't take pictures for a long time due to criticism. Now I go out with a friend on photography outings. I now found that going out to shoot in nature is therapeutic. I love your podcast and the guests you have. Keep up the great work!!!! ❤ One thing I need to do is slow down when I go out shooting. It is hard not to think about things that I can do back at the house, instead of being present in the moment of being in nature and clear my mind.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Mike. I really appreciate you taking the time to share some of your personal journey ans thoughys. I'm really delighted you enjoyed the podcast too. Ruth's programme is open to everyone as it's online. Feel free to check out her website if you're interested in finding out more.
Thanks for your reply. I found your channel when I was watching Courtney Victoria's channel. I watched her interview yesterday. I don't feel alone about my struggles in life. I want to use photography for therapy and just the enjoyment of it. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to more amazing photographers. ❤😊
this was so helpful to me as I not in a good place at this time of year and go out whit Ruth and your advice and walk and photographing some love things live is so sort we all need to live to the day thanks you Kim
I really like the fact that Ruth mentions privilege, and that she is aware that photography is all too often associated with privilege, especially economical. Photography isn't the cheapest of hobbies, and too many photographers are obsessed with gear... Buying second hand lenses, and saving up to buy equipment has always been a struggle for me. I love mindful photography and being out in nature too much to ever give it up. So, yes please! Let's make photography accessible to as many people as possible. I'm all for that!

Great to hear Ruth. I found doing a short online course with her really supportive to my mental health during the pandemic. Thank you both.

You are a wonderful spirit Kim. You contribute so much and great guest interview.
Great guest. Thank you for sharing.
Solitude is also very important to me as me time. Unfortunately that time is not always easy to find.
