Such a great video! Well done! I didn't need to watch this now because I've replaced mine years ago, but I really enjoyed watching this. Great angles with video, no loud music, great lighting, great commentary, and even provided all the torque. This is the perfect how-to video! Thanks for sharing.
I used to have that engine. Informative procedure Well done. Can and a half of brake fluid you could clean a city block with that much. Happy holidays , Dave

Similar procedure on Civics, just less room to work (some you have to take off the metal panel under the center cowl). Torque for the bolts should be 9 ft lbs on those Civics.
It’s more fun when one or more of the three bolts get seized and the bolt heads get stripped. An accu-punch and a hammer at a single possible angle helped to unseal the bolt after many hours of trying.
I was gonna just do the vtec solenoid filter, but after watching this I think I will just replace the whole unit since no vice and no drill in my home tool box. Also Lost weight a little bit?
Thanks Dave. I ordered the spool valve filter for my 2004 Element. Curious on the Element the filter is on the passenger side near the power steering pump. Is that the same one in your video? Oh Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
That Element should have a K24 engine similar to the Accord in this video, the VTEC (Spool Valve) gasket 15815-RAA-A02 should be on passenger side towards rear of car same as this one. The VTC gasket 15845-RAA-A01 for the VTC oil control valve is located on passenger side towards front of vehicle. It can be easy to mix them up. Merry Christmas and thanks for the comment!
I've always had the luck of the valve going out before the gasket. When it does you'll have a check engine light and NO power. Don't cheap out on a cheap aftermarket replacement either. You'll regret it. Either OEM or NGK makes a good replacement.

@ Thanks I bought the second one that ends in A01. Just waiting for the weather to get a little warmer (I live in NY state).
Did it last night hopefully no more leaks😅

The same procedure also applies to models K20 / 2003 to 2007, same part model and maintenance procedure! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Yes, K20 engines are similar to the K24.
What kind and name of that torque wrench is that?
I was using a 1/4" Snap-On Tech Angle Torque Wrench.
Thanks

Thanks!
