Does it feel different tho? I know it’s not gonna affect anything like hp but how’s the idle and stuff?
If you just unbolt both motor mount nuts on the bottom you can jack on the manifold or lift one side of the motor at a time. This gives you a ton more room and you don't need to remove a bunch of stuff.
It was hardly "a bunch" of stuff 😅
@@KevinVo haha I may have exaggerated that 😅 but eather way it's alot faster.
4:25 You made it look so easy to get the coil packs out. How is this physically possible? I have a 2016 BRZ and I cannot get the rear driver's side coil pack out at all.
I was looking at these, compared to some other options...do they provide a bigger output? Why did you pick these?
I have the 2013 brz. Should I get the adapter and get a set of oem coil packs from a 2017?!
Boy I did my spark plugs on the BRZ. The dust and grimes makes it a lot harder than it is.
I’m dreading my spark plug change bro
With that easy of an install......Will be ordering soon
Umm.. no it's not. FWD engine are 10x easier.. they just face upwards right on top. Lol
@@zinny999 LS is even easier
@@zinny999fwd can also be boxster
How much HP do you think those coil packs add? Did you notice any difference after changing them?
I have them and its just like more resistant to misfire you can’t feel a difference and no change in idle
How reliable are these ignition coils? Less or the same as oem?
are they working with the 2012 86 aswell ?
Nice i already had to change one of mine for the fcking p0351 2 days ago and they show that now🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s tight man
Pause
Noob here, are coil packs and spark plugs the same thing??
No coil pack is what powers the spark plug gives the spark plugs there spark
Who won the grim speed CAI😕
Will be announced in this month's new products video.
It seems to me that the fuel rail cover is too heavy both sides
thanks man
When do we hear who won the Grim speed cold air intake?
This month's new products video.
you got some crazy rust going on in your car -- probably good to clean that up.
Video says only 13-14 models need adapter harness. Website says 13-16 model years need adapter harness. Which is correct?
I think it is 2012-2013 JDM 86, 2013-2014 for FRS and BRZ, USDM and other world markets. 2015 and above use a different harness. (2014 and above for JDM).
Ok, got the off the line coil packs, but could only install one side on the right side. For some reason, the left side would not fit all in the harnesses. It was really frustrating as I was hacking away at it until 8pm at night because I had to completely reverse the whole install to OEM.
The coil packs looked all the same, but for some reason, the off the line could pack would only fit in the harness so much. Like halfway and then not able to connect properly.
Has anyone ever had this problem??
What did you end up doing to fix it? Did you ever get them working?
@@krishanpatel04 got car serviced and they installed the coil packs for me
That’s fucked man
Who won the Grimspeed Intake
Grimmspeed CAI winner??
Will be announced in this month's new products video.
@@KevinVo bet can’t wait!!!
No start up?
I'm dreading the day I have to change my spark plugs. It's coming soon :(
Might be better to find a friend with access to a lift, or go to a shop and have the work done for you unless you're comfortable swapping them out yourself then you can just borrow or rent a lift at a local shop if they allow that. With the accessories moved or the engine lifted a little bit, it's usually easier to reach.
Its not that bad. Try to get your wife or somebody with small hands to reach inside. Have them put the socket and extension in for you, then tighten them up yourself. I use a pole to extend the ratchet.
Watch a few videos where they show lifting the engine. It's actually super simple in these cars and gives you a ton of room for activities.
@@wdiv like martial arts?
@@wdiv I know it's not hard, it's just time consuming. And that's the part I dread.
Why is everything rusted?
