I want to see more utilization of negative space, asymmetry (especially from one eye to the other), and abstract, painterly placement! Look at season 1 daytime looks for the character Jules. I feel like that's what most excited me about "Euphoria makeup" when it came out, and yet it's the part I've struggled the hardest to recreate myself. I want Matisse. I want Kandinsky. I want to look like I dug out my childhood Colorblaster and used it to airbrush the top half of my face. Like I got attacked by paintball-playing hamsters.

What a wonderful thought! I was sitting here thinking this looks great on Hannah, but I’m too old for this trend. But Endora was even older than I am, I think. (Too bad I don’t have a son-in-law to insult whilst wearing a gorgeous colorful caftan.)

Wow yes! Can we do this together often? This felt like makeup playtime but make it even more exploratory. Really didn’t feel like you were going for a look you loved, instead trying a vibe that is totally different than what you normally do just for the experiment of it. And it turned out absolutely lovely! More euphoria makeup playtime please :) New makeup or old, doesn’t really matter to me

I'm an old woman, I finally looked up 'Euphoria makeup'. I don't know what the show is about. Is it editorial makeup but with a lot of sparkles? I saw a lot of.. almost Lisa Frank inspiration meets 90s grunge. Like rave makeup.
I kind of love it. And I love how all over the place the looks can go.
The makeup trend is more about makeup as a tool to adorn the body instead of looking sexy or alluring. It's a cool trend as it's inclusive for all ages and genders - it's not inherently feminine or masculine.

The orange ish shade on your skin reminds me of those days where I struggled to understand my skin tone, wich is so fair and neutral with reddish patches. (The redness made me thinking that my skin tone is reddish/orange ish) It goes worse as being oxidised. Oh I really struggled with it and it took almost a decade to figure out. I feel I'm so lucky now I know what to do with it!

glad to see you finally do your take on this super fun trend! I started being interested in it back in 2020 and I started out by buying some neon and other colorful liners, plus a little glitter here and there. now I bought a rainbow palette with pastel/ neon shades which I use all over my top and bottom lid for monochromatic looks (i use a white base for clown makeup as a primer so that the color remains more vibrant, instead of adopting a skin tone quality)
the thing is if i wanna use these products, i just do a simple eyeliner or all over the lid look and let the quirky colors speak for themselves. anything more elaborate is not something I can just conjure in the 15 minutes i have before leaving for work, i need to be in a more "painterly" and relaxed state of mind to come up with something more creative
My favorite look I've seen you do! Lately I've been all about doing mattes on my eyes and adding glitter in unexpected places. It's so cool when you get to do something out of the box and not classicly glam and are really feeling yourself with it ;)

I loved this look when I saw it in the interior design inspiration video. It made me want to cover my eyes in periwinkle. I'm a big fan of simple statement looks like this. I'm glad Euphoria popularized this type of look.

Love this look so much, Hannah! I am always so inspired when you see a trend or makeup artist, articulate what is appealing about that (the way you defined "euphoria makeup" felt like putting words to exactly what was intuitively attractive about it to me as well), and make it your own (much like you did with Terry Barber). Would love to see more content like this and just watch you play and try new things.
Love it! I've always felt that makeup should look like makeup, like an embellishment, and this has that feel. It looks as fun as it was to put on. Lately I've been into doing more sparkly and colorful complexion stuff. Mermaid skin? I think that's what some are calling it. I don't know if this actually done on Euphoria (I haven't watched it either) but it feels in spirit with the Euphoria aesthetic.

Highly recommend the show itself. The medium of makeup as artistic expression is reflective of the storylines; kids entangled in adult situations. Most of the focus is on the duality of being attracted to the thing that causes the most pain, or finding freedom in that which is most feared. I think you would really enjoy it! Also, I've been sticking gems all over my face and living for it ✨️ Long live this trend!
Yaaay, I loved this make up when I saw it in the other video, so I’m so happy there’s a video dedicated to it. I think it looks wonderful on you, and I like that you didn’t join up the wing, I think it’s definitely in line (ha) with the vibe.
I really hope you do more videos playing like this, I’ve always been too scared to “do makeup” (more than just base) because things like smokey eyes seems really intimidating to pull off, but playing around like this feels a lot more approachable / achievable?

I loved this so much! It inspired me to get up and play with makeup along with you.
I also have been in the habit of a smoky eye, leaning into “more is more” because I truly love the application as much as the result. It’s a great new thing to learn to try a daring shape or colour, but then having a lighter and more minimal touch. It feels like the makeup version of Coco Chanel’s practice of removing a piece of jewelry before you walk out the door 😂

I have the Glamlite Icecream palette that is meh on my pigmented lids (with a primer) but this video has inspired me to do more euphoria style eyes, instead of trying to make it do something it can’t on me and my melanin. I am already excited about it thanks to this video. I am no longer pissed at it 🤣. I do use the warmer tones in the palette ias blush so that’s good but wanted to use it to its full potential (for me)
oh no i thought that was one of the better options for darker skin tones. i’ve been wanting to try it but haven’t taken the plunge yet. i also like the more transparent glittery looks too so i hope you have more fun with it and not just as blush!

I do things like this... I love glitter! but I never wear it out intentionally. although last week, I did two very different bold and glittery eyes - silver purple on one and gold orange on the other - while playing. then I forgot about it. hours later, I'm out running errands..... imagine the looks I got at the gas station and pharmacy!!!

Eyphora makeup has been a trend for a while and I had been wanting to buy a new palette to try the looks, after checking in with my collection I realized that I have the mothership 9 I believe is the number which has the iridescent purplish colors that I want. So glad you discuss trends

I remember the late nineties and early to be very glitter heavy... For Loveparade I glittered my hole torso and face and bold head. I even carried a glitter roll on with me to do touch ups.... XD XD XD ...Your make up and esp. the highlight brings this hole vibe back... ahh memories.. :)

Hi Hannah! You are my favorite. FYI, the SUMMER FRIDAYS Lip Butter Balm isn't a new product. It has new packaging. The old packaging was terrible because the product would ooze out of the tube.

I kind of feel bummed out because I am traveling right now and I have a fraction of my make up and like almost 6 individual eyeshadows and I cannot re-create this look or really play in my make up because everything was very utilitarian when I packed it so this video was really tugging at my creative heartstrings but I’m unable to fulfill that itch it’s making me wanna go home faster just to dig into my make up

Would it have helped if you mixed the kiko green color corrector in with the foundation, so that the white pigment of the kiko corrector lightens the foundation, while the green tint also counter acts the peachy tones?
Much prefer the glitter you used,rather than the rhinestone stick ons that is used in the Euphoria vibes looks others have created! Looks lovely!
I’m curious how the Salt New York mixing pigments work with other foundations. Do you think it might work with Kjaer Weis foundation? If not, is there another foundation that might work with the SNY mixing pigments?
I bet you’d really like the Dr. Jart cicapair tiger grass camp drops. Starts off feeling a little oily. Great if your skin feels dry. It’s is super light green, like a color corrector. As you rub it in though , it changes to a skin color. It’s lite on the skin….looks like a your skin but even.
I have a vague memory of her talking about how she used to buy this before her no buy year, but it was too dark for her…

yes, it's the lightest shade!
or rather, it's the first shade. It looks like the first few shades all have similar values with different undertones.
Getting my correct shade has not gotten any easier even after using makeup for like 10 years 🙄 green color corrector for the unfortunate win.
I would just like to point out how fucking rare it is for a beauty RUclipsr/influencer to not only use a word like “zeitgeist”, but to also use it correctly. THANK YOU for helping stop the perpetuation that beauty, or interest in beauty, equates to the typical “dumb, but cute” stereotype. It’s 2022. We are allowed to be beautiful AND smarter than you.

Alright but can we talk about the Kær Weis shade range though? That range is an embarrassment. Ninety-million light to med-light shades and zilch in darker shades or very light shades.
