Hi Bjorn. Trying to get a fair comparison between the range of the M3 LFP and our Hyundai Kona 64kwh, your test of the Kona was at -15c so can’t really compare. With the cars having practically the same weight and the Kona having 8kwh more to play with I feel sure that the Kona will have a better range still, ABRP experiments seem to agree, I’m thinking the Kona is good for an additional 50km, but how do you feel about that?
Did you navigate to a supercharger to get it to preheat? I haven't figured how to get it to preheat any other way which in Australia is an issue as often there is no supercharger to navigate to.
@ Bjorn. great video. Can you also do the test with the SR +, Fremont version. (NOT LFP battery). Is the great result. related to the Heat pomp or the LFP battery? thanks Derk
Great video as usual! I just ordered a RWD M3 LFP but I live in Montreal where for 2 months, the winter can be pretty harsh. I don't charge at home as I own an apartment & I park in the street (there is a public charger 50 meters from home). I was wondering if you could do a test of how much charge do you lose overnight (unplugged) with this car in cold & very cold temperatures? I have only seen 1 video from a guy in Saskatchewan but that was with an NCA pack (which I know are a bit better in winter) & he had sentry mode on for some reason, which definitely ruined the test. Many thanks & love the channel!
Not really. 3 Wh/km * 120 km/h = 360 W which should be difference in temperature inside cabin. In 1000 km, 3 Wh/km = 3 kWh To charge 3 kWh, you need only 1-2 minutes
In my personal opinion: Negative: yes, big: no. It's a small battery pack where you miss out on the high peak but the charging curve seems very good up to about 50%. And atm this car is 100k NOK (about 10k Euro) cheaper than the LR.
About 1-2 kr/kWh. Driving electric is still way, way cheaper than fossil. The electricity price must rise to 5-10x before it becomes more expensive than fossil.
Can you navigate to other charging stations than Tesla to have the pre-heating? (If i've understood it well you mention this at the first stop, but it's not totally clear).
Hi Bjorn, I've got a Model 3 with LFP battery. Tesla vendors says people who buy it to recharge battery always at 100% with no problems. I think this practice could damage battery if done often. What do you think about?

Nice coverup with the passport👌😎 great video of the best car for money
Björn please try the 1000km challenge with a MG ZS EV Long Range pleaseeeee😊
Cool video but little bit warm weather to be "proper" winter" test. Should be at least -5-10C...
Blame global warming
Is it posible for you to tell us what different charging sesion cost when you do 1000 km challange. Thnx
that is impressive!
good job! Which Motor is installed? The „old“ Performance or the new less torque hairpin motor?
Old
Are all of the SR+'s being produced now 60kWh?
yes with LFP
Did you navigate to a supercharger to get it to preheat? I haven't figured how to get it to preheat any other way which in Australia is an issue as often there is no supercharger to navigate to.
How does Tesla app recognise non Tesla Supper/fast chargers to preheat the battery?
@ Bjorn. great video. Can you also do the test with the SR +, Fremont version. (NOT LFP battery). Is the great result. related to the Heat pomp or the LFP battery? thanks Derk
Yeeeees. Looking forward to watch this
Great video as usual!
I hardly lose any % overnight, but Dutch winters aren’t that harsh. How was your experience?
Hey bjorn, when are you testing the Meganne E-Tech electric??!
does cabin temperature have a significant impact on the 1000 km time? do you usually keep all cars at a similar temperature in winter?
Not really. 3 Wh/km * 120 km/h = 360 W which should be difference in temperature inside cabin.
In 1000 km, 3 Wh/km = 3 kWh
To charge 3 kWh, you need only 1-2 minutes
What was the net capacity of August's Model 3?
Why only the consumption without charging lost are showed?
Standard on all EVs, not just Tesla.
Game over 2050 compilation
I love your videos! Thank you! What kind of rims are used on this model 3?
So the LFP Model3s cant fully utilize a V3 charger? Isn't that a big downgrade?
In my personal opinion: Negative: yes, big: no. It's a small battery pack where you miss out on the high peak but the charging curve seems very good up to about 50%. And atm this car is 100k NOK (about 10k Euro) cheaper than the LR.
v3 is 250kw. You can`t achieve that with cheapest Tesla...Very simple. You need Long range at least...
Soon v3 chargers will go up to ~325kW. Isn't that a big downgrade to every car right now?
How much is the kWh in Norway? 2€ per litre is a lot, but electricity prices are rising too.
About 1-2 kr/kWh. Driving electric is still way, way cheaper than fossil. The electricity price must rise to 5-10x before it becomes more expensive than fossil.
20:14
How fast was you driving in this 1000km challenge?
Can you navigate to other charging stations than Tesla to have the pre-heating? (If i've understood it well you mention this at the first stop, but it's not totally clear).
Yes
Hi Bjorn, I've got a Model 3 with LFP battery. Tesla vendors says people who buy it to recharge battery always at 100% with no problems. I think this practice could damage battery if done often. What do you think about?
LFP can handle 0-100% no problem, it doesn't degrade like NMC
Good morning Björn, I’m checking everyday your channel and hope for a review about the updated Tesla model 3 (highland). Any chance in the near future that we can expect a video?
I would love Tesla EV motors and batteri / software in a other car, I cant sit in a Model 3 :( Floor is way to high.
hi, how do I find out which battery is installed on the model 3 SR+ before buying?
sr model only with lip battery now
@@brianlange9010 And if the car is not new?
