This explains why sensual outfits and makeup looks just seem weird and out of place on me 😂 my friends say I look pure and innocent, and like I could belong to a different era. Someone had said 'white just hits different on you' and this video helped me understand now. I think I have a combination of ingenue and ethereal essences, with the ingenue being more dominant.
Seems like we're on the same boat? I was told by a friend long ago that I have this "regal presence" and had someone say that I have "Christian-like features". Even got told by a Priest I reminded him of a Virgin! I think I have some Ingenue essence as well so maybe that's why I've always been drawn to this sort of otherworldly ethereal fashion style? Oh and sad eyes! For some reason that's my most complimented feature even though I look depressed all the time.
I get told I have an angelic, wise or cute look all the time, and it seems like the more dressed up I get the more « cute » I seem to others! I’m also a mix of ethereal and ingenue , I wonder if these two essences are often found in tandem? :)
@@kumarules118 Ngl I wish I had a villain face 😩 But tbh despite my "Angelic aura" people mostly describe me as intimidating and scary lmao so there must something else going on my face haha Maybe I look like a fairytale villain? That sounds badass ngl
Growing up, I always thought my face was too long and out of place, even ugly. And the clothes I wore almost never seemed to suit me. But I was always drawn to white, long, flowy dresses, very angelic style clothing. And my friends say I'm more innocent and pure. After watching this video, a lot about my face was explained, so thank you! I will definitely use these tips:)
I cant count how many times I tried to dress in a sexy and dramatic way and it just ended with me looking really off and uncomfortable but thanks to you now I know why it’s because I’m ethereal so thank you !
halle bailey is a perfect example of ethereal essence, very fitting for a mermaid. i feel that the late river phoenix also had some of this essence, a pretty good male example. what can you do when your body is clearly romantic, but your face is very ethereal? i look good in things that accentuate my waist, but i look terrible in the pastel colors that are recommended for both, because my skintone is more of a light olive and it washes me out.
Pastels can work but you have to be specific esp for things near your face I'm light olive too and have found the following pastels to work: Light blues, mints, light peachy pinks, lilacs etc Saturation is something to play with too
This explains why when i try to dress sensually, it is very fussy to me, but when i put on something easier and flowing, i get unexpected compliments like, "you look divine" and "you're glowing" 🤯
You definitely have large, Round, innocent-looking , wide set eyes which are the prominent feature on your face. I also don’t think your cheekbones look particularly high. Your features look very soft and gentle. You look youthful. I think you look more ingenue than ethereal. You’re gorgeous!
@@ninalou4629 this woman very much resembles Amanda seyfried, actually. But like I said, map the face to see the proportion of eyes:face and for the shape of the eye.
Thank you so much for this!! I used to hate that my face and nose were longer but understanding ethereal essence has helped me appreciate that elongation as something cool and otherworldly!!
Ethereal makes the most sense to me! I have a long nose and forehead/rather high cheekbones, but big round eyes and a face that has always looked "ageless" and somewhat pensive instead of fierce. In Kibbe I'm a soft dramatic. I don't look like contemporary beauty standards so much as, like, pre-raphaelite or renaissance, definitely soft and elongated. I'm glad you've helped me realize this about myself! I used to feel bad about how I couldn't really pull off "sexy" looks or sensual, youthful looks, and this has really helped me with that. (My eyes aren't far apart, but I still think I'm a true ethereal-- I fit everything else.)
I literally fit everything you’re describing. I’ve noticed that too about renaissance paintings- I look eerily similar to a lot of them, but not your classic idea of beauty
That's me, as well. I'm a Soft Dramatic with a long face that seems to defy age typing. People guessed my age as 26 for 20 years, from the time I was 19 to 45. I'm not at all beautiful, but when I wear clothes with the angelic or ethereal vibe, men stare, little girls tell their moms that I'm beautiful, and I even had a teenage girl (and no, she's not gay) tell me that she wanted to marry me. I fought it for years and years as a teacher and when I was dating because the soft aura gives people the idea that I'm weak, but the ethereal esthetic is my natural home.
This explains a lot! Others have always used things like "godess" "otherworldly" "elf" "fairy" "angel" to describe not only my appearance but my overall vibe, and it's always sort of confused me. My face is actually a lot like Tilda Swintons, especially shape wise. Glad to have some closure here lol
I've been told from a bunch of people that I look like Anya Taylor Joy, this video confirmed to me that I have ethereal essence. So cool, thanks for making it
@@ghostsheet777 Also got told that I look like her and also look nothing like her :D Not sure if it's just the vibe or if it's because she's the new it girl and people just see her everywhere (in my case it might also be my red hair and her having red hair in her most famous role).
@@ghostsheet777 You actually do have similar facial features to her. You don't necessarily look like her. But it's the same strong essence, in your face. That you have. You can have the same type of features of someone. But not look the same. That's why I say similar looking
i’m 19 and when i meet new people and they try to form an idea of my age, their guesses are so varied! like it *literally* ranges from 13 to 30 years old which i find pretty extreme and funny. my mum and i joke about it that i must be ‘ageless’. i was originally just watching this video for fun (loved it btw) but when you said the ethereal essence could be described as ‘ageless’, that resonated sm lol! maybe i should look into the essences a bit more!
Thank you for the video, it was super interesting! I'm starting to get an idea for what essences I might have, I think I'm a combination of natural and ethereal, with a bit of dramatic thrown in too. It's so much fun exploring the essences because I got into the kibble system last year so I love that there's something more to discover, I feel like it really helps me understand myself. I'm looking forward to more essence analysis videos!
Oh wow yeah I’m an ethereal through and through. Always searching for feminine delicate clothes since I was a teen. Have big strange eyes a bit like Anya Taylor-Joy and all that was described. Thank you so much it now makes sense! Amazing job👌🏼
Woah this makes a lot of sense. I’ve been told that I’m beautiful but not in a conventional way. I was offended back then but grew to appreciate being unique!
Together with ingenue I think ethereal essence is one of the most overtyped essences. For some reason everyone claims either ethereal or ingenue or both lol
I think typing yourself is really difficult that's why we should recall what people said about us. Like for example I am not classically beautiful and i haven't been told normally that someone finds me beautiful, usually i was compared to a nymph/ elf, i was told I look unique so I feel like it's a good confirmation of this essence. So i really think people should think if they were told they maybe look young, have baby face, or maybe they're flamboyant. Like this girl doesn't look ethereal in my opinion she's just blonde
That's possible, but another reason is that the sampling is skewed from the very beginning. People clicking in the video have a much higher ratio of being ethereal, and since materials about it is very few, I think many, including me, actively searched for it. Also, no matter in what typing video, the majority of the comments are from people who are sorted in. Since if you are not the target audience, why bother commenting? Edit: I think another reason of having a bunch of probably overzealous ethereal people floating around is due to competing theories (eg: Kibbe, 4 body shapes) not acknowledging them. If you read 10 theories that can't properly type you or always put you at a weird cusp, and then finding yourself in the center of a niche, you would also build this "brand loyalty". [Here I digress] Same might happen on other places like MBTI model and it partly explains why many people fantasize intuitive types, especially NT people.
@@WisteriAvis I agree, on this video there's certainly a bias! But I was speaking generally, also when people on the style subs on reddit ask or talk about their essences and such. But I mean, it's okay, of course, it's not exactly a serious issue, people can do what they want - it's just something I noticed.
I don’t agree with ethereals having low contrast exclusively. I think people that aren’t blonde with fair skin can be ethereal essence too. Rihanna is a great example of this
Low contrast doesn't mean pale or blonde. It means there's not a big contrast difference between your hair colour and skin. But I agree about ethereal not having low contrast exclusively. As said before, Liv Taylor seems very ethereal and elfish. And she has a high contrast - pale skin and dark hair.
I have a feeling that gamines, soft gamines and flamboyant gamines often have the ethereal essence regardless of color, but it seems more like a question of personality
This video has helped me discover that I definitely have ethereal essence with some dramatic in the face. I often get asked if I'm Scandinavian or Slavic - typically Norwegian. I have high cheek bones, a long face, very pale, almond-shaped eyes, large forehead. It just all makes sense! This is why, even though it is not a recomendation forl my season (cool summer) I look great in white. Thanks Ellie!
😅 oh I was reading the comments and felt called out. Haha. You even went straight to the point with country and all. From a Norwegian with these features 😃🙈🇳🇴 Or well Im normally pale I would say.
When I was in high school we wore school uniform. And one day when we wore our regular home clothes I wore an all black outfit. And one of my friends was surprised because she said I remind her of flowers and lots of colour. And now I see what she means by that.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!! I'm a soft dramatic, but my face is definitely ethereal, I always felt so weird with soft-dramatic makeup. Now I get it.❤️❤️❤️
I love ❤️ the message behind these theories of styling, it’s a very positive kind of view , because as you said, everyone is beautiful on their on way. It’s definitely a contrast compared to the instagram beauty standards, where everybody looks just the same and if you don’t fit, then you aren’t worthy… I really like your videos, they are really inspiring🥰 Thank you for all the work behind them!!
I feel based on the kibbe test and your information that I might be an ethereal romantic. Always being told I look younger than my actual age. I love wearing shimmering eye shadow and gloss over matte lips😍 and I feel better in flowy fabrics 💗
Grimes is my #1 ethereal INSPIRATION. her music and her looks are beyond otherworldly . For me i have dark hair but when i look at myself i feel like i notice a mix of romantic and ethereal in my features and my bf has told me i look like a sexy elf sometimes 😂 😊 wish i had a friend like you, you seem so fun to talk to about styles and aesthetics. Thanks for the wonderful videos!!!
This video helped me so much! I never understood why I look out of place in certain styles when they are supposed to work with my body type. I used to do a lot of acting but I would joke that I couldn't get cast as a human to save my life. I would always be cast as creatures and otherworldly beings very easily.
I would love to, in general, see more examples of the types that you mention in different races - like an Asian ethereal, black ethereal, Latino ethereal, Indian ethereal, etc.
THANK YOU for giving physical examples of how these qualities show up in clothing- bead spacing, feathers , s-curves etc- and WHY they work. The rose vs. lily explanation is amazing. You have a great way of combining explaining conceptual elements with physical counterparts. It’s specific and concise. As a visual learner- and for anyone interested in anything kibbe-like or related- this was immensely helpful!
I've posted some of my photos on Reddit for other people to ID me, and I got some responses saying that I had a mix of both Gamine and Ethereal essence! One of them mentioned said that I was giving out some playful and mischievous energy... which she's correct about 😂 Maybe I should start styling myself with the idea of a pixie girl in mind! I always feel like pixies give off that sort of vibe too! And, I dunno, maybe a pixie would be a good example of a Gamine-Ethereal mix? Haha! 😂
A lot of people tell me I remind them of a fairy/elf, think I found my essence :) guess I‘m also kind of dramatic - it helps so much knowing your essence to create perfect outfits for your body/face - type ✨
Grateful for this video!! I’ve been thinking a lot about ethereal essence! I’m Kibbe Soft Natural type but I’m pretty sure I’ve got a bit of ethereal essence. I can’t pin point why but I can just see it. I don’t really have girl next door face, multiple people have commented on how I look like a character… unusual! Always a woodland creature or some sort of witch. It made me feel self conscious like I’m strange looking… but this sounds beautiful.
Loved this video! I do not have ethereal features but I DEF have an ethereal vibe - so many of the style elements you mentioned are things that I have noticed the past two to three years look AMAZING on me and I’ve been just leaning into creating looks that match my vibe. I’ve always been a little bit of a flower child in my interests and love to wear flower crowns and crystal crowns and goddess crowns. So many of my art and style icons are mystical and fairy like (Florence Welch, Sade, Lisa Bonet, Solange, Corinne Bailey Rae and the ULTIMATE Cate Blanchett). My dominant archetype is the Sage/Mystic and I have many planets in Scorpio, so I think it all kind of fits for me, even if I don’t have doe eyes or elongated features!
i think i have ethereal essence. once when i try cute looking dresses, it doesn't look so good on me. and then there's one day i tried dark color outfit (alt aesthetic), it's looks more weird on me~ i even try Tomboyish clothes, but it didn't blend well on my appearance. BUT ! after i found your chanel ! it turns out, i have ethereal essence. i started wearing dresses with soft color. add some pearls accessories, and yeah, i looks so much better ❤❤❤❤
this is kinda hitting home for me. i've always looked really good in white. in fact two boyfriends in the past have bought me white dresses, and the second white dress after trying on heaps of dresses. they were both very 'angelic' looking type dresses. Also tend to look good in 'innocent' looking styles. but not necessarily youthful styles. youthful styles make me look matronly. i always thought that was bc i'm romantic body type. but then, sexy styles can look quite awkward on me. that being said, i like the kibbe 'natural' body type clothing the most, like it looks the most comfortable and practical to wear.
I actually think you have classic kibbe or maybe even soft classic since you have more round and soft features. I also think that you are not an etherial, i would say inguine suits you better. Anyways you'r beautiful
Please keep doing these videos! They're so cool and really help me understand myself better. At first I thought I was an Ingenue-Romantic ,(Ingenue dominant) but looking at this I might be more of an Ingenue-Ethereal. I'm a bit confused but the information is fascinating regardless.
this is so helpful, kibbe has been trouble for me because i am long and thin but with soft curvature, so i've always had trouble placing myself (too soft for dramatic, too thin for natural, too long for gamine, too svelte for romantic, etc)
Well, this explains a lot! 😄 Thank you! I will now try to incorporate materials that might suit me better. And maby dare myself to wear my prefered style, even though it might stand out a bit from the norm. For obviously; my face demands it 🥰
Thank you, this gives me a lot of clarity and makes a lot of things click for me.. I am East Asian but I have a longish face with a pretty “dignified” look. I’m classic, a pretty typical one in fact. I look good in solids, especially whites, and those bird, fishy butterfly inspired shapes look good on me, in fact, or anything that is of natural essence, they being out a little bit of ingenue essence on me as well, which I didn’t know I had.
This makes so much sense! My lines are romantic with a double curve but I kept finding the recommended stereotypical outfits didn't seem to fit my appearance. I look better in things that are a bit more floaty and so I kept thinking I must be an SN because all the Pinterest boards were full of floaty outfits for them, but then those wider lines were too much for my frame. If I add in the ethereal essence to romantic lines then that's so much more me ^_^ I love your content! My confidence is really improving since finding you and the advice you provide.
I'm pretty sure I'm a soft natural and maybe a romantic essence because floofy, soft, girlish styles look weird on me, like it looks as though I'm wearing little girls clothes and it looks off. this video helped me understand my essence even as someone who's not an ethereal
This essence describes me, my facial features, and my favorite style perfectly! I always feel most myself when styled very feminine and whimsical. I've been told my whole life I look like a fairyl/elf (and a lot like Liv Tyler) and just went with it! Stars and moons are my go too motife ✨🌙
I have been randomly called a fairy/pixie since I was a child up until now (in my 30s). Regardless of my hair style (of which I've had many) or dress style this has always been the one comment I get from people when they first meet me, from friends when they compliment me and even from children pointing at me on the street! My guess is that my facial features and character are a mixture of Ethereal and Gamine. While in Kibbie I am typed as a Soft Dramatic. Have been finding these videos very helpful, thank you for bringing in an updated unique perspective to the interpretations.
I've been trying to figure out what my essences are for the past few weeks, and I'm starting to think that I might have ethereal essence. I think I have some elements of ingenue and/or gamine, but I think may face might be too long to really fit. Ethereal essence brings together those elements of longness and softness that I think are present in my face. These videos are so fascinating! Keep them up!
Thank you! I will be using these tips for sure! I probably have a lot of ethereal essence. I have wavy golden red hair, large green eyes, pale skin with a peach undertone, neutral to warm undertones generally/some type of spring. I get asked fairly often if my hair and eyes are natural. According to the Kibbe system, i'm theatrical romantic but those outfits can feel too sexy glamorous old Hollywood for everyday. I'm more drawn to feminine boho styles and the glamour of the gilded age. If I were to ever get married, my dress/hair/makeup would be inspired by Rose at the end of Titanic
I'm happy that I started to learn more about essences because I have to admit that I started to feel boxed in with Kibbe. I'm a Soft Dramatic and the lines seem right, but the overall vibe of it feels like it doesn't suit me. I started to look into the essences and came across Ethereal, it feels right but I'm uncertain. I've had people tell me that I can be intimidating upon first impressions. I have this look(without meaning to) where it can be a soft knowing gaze or an intense stare. I have a womanly shape to my body, even when I was a teenager. Going by this, would that make me an Ethereal Romantic.? Please help lol.
Thank you. As I understand, this type is fairly rare. As one, I've been so confused about style, and even after Kibbe, something essential was still missing. Yet, the Kibbe lines are still a good pointer for me, at least. Btw, Kitchner has indeed included body and even walk in the essence chart.
2:23 that’s not a very cute and innocent face honestly. It’s mostly the makeup, hair, and camera angle that creates a slight illusion of it. Overall that face seems pretty angular and actually matched those clothes pretty well
So according to this video, my features are very much ethereal, but it really doesn’t match my personality at all which is very much youthful, cute, lively, and ingenue. I feel like ingenue style suits me better because it represents who I am as a person rather than the way my face is. Also, people usually think I’m in high school even though I’m in my 30s! I feel uncomfortable in ethereal style and it doesn’t feel like ‘me’. What does one do in this situation?
Thank you for this video! I am a romantic, with ingenue and ethereal essence. It has been a journey figuring out what looks good on me, because romantic clothes have a tendency to look too grown up so mixing in ingenue and ethereal has been a learning process. So many of the things that you mentioned are things that I’ve been doing through trial and error and it has really helped my style. The other things I’m going to try.😃
Thank you for making this video. I have been typed by Kitchener with having a predominant Angelic/Ethereal Essence and there are just not many styling systems or individuals out there that recognize it was more than a "vibe" that anyone can just put on their style or body type (be they romantic or dramatic or whatever). Thank you for bringing more attention to Ethereal as its own type just as Dramatic or Romantic is. I know the struggle is real for Ethereal types in finding their style and fashion when no one else recognizes ethereal beauty. I've tried as you've said at the beginning of your video to wear a cute, chic, or stylish outfit I've seen on a blog or pinterest and it just not work and not understood why. I think most Ethereals get miss typed Dramatics, which doesn't help at all. So having examples as yourself and videos like this made and shared really helps. Thank you.
@@jessiebaker5035 I had a good experience. I was typed online by him via photograph and then a follow-up video call to confirm and discuss my essences (and palette -- I also had a custom color palette done by him). On the video call I was able to have my essences explained to me, and also any question I had answered. This really helped me understand why certain things didn't historically work for me and why others did. Kitchener was thorough and detailed, I walked away with a pretty good idea of how to apply the information he gave me to my personal wardrobe.
as a dramatic who has realized that i have ethereal essence, i agree, ethereals are often types as dramatics because they are both long and narrow. however, dramatic is much too harsh and bold for an ethereal, and when i first read the description for ethereal, i wish it was its own body type rather than just an essence!
This was really helpful! I just did your consultation and was typed as Romantic body type with Ethereal essence. The distinction here that the curved lines for ethereal essence need to be a bit longer than romantic round lines is really helpful to know!
I think ingenue and natural tbh, farthest thing from ethereal, she has a cutesy girl next door/perky cheerleader vibe haha. Though the big doe eyes are def an ethereal staple
After taking your more recent video about face essences, the most check marks I had were on Dramatic and Ethereal. I've been struggling to figure out which one I am. I guess it's kind of hard to objectively say, "I'm angelic and other-worldly." 😅
I personally don't think I have this essence but I recently realized many things looking at what doesn't look good on me. For example: geometric and plastic accessories, dark lipstick or heavy make up (especially on the eyes), and other stuff I tried very hard to fit in. I never thought about myself as sexy and girly, but I definetly am not a dramatic (or something related). These perceptions estarted long before I found the style essences theory, when I naturally came to use things with holographic translucent materials, nature themed accessories (such leaves and buterfly wings), fabrics like satin and natural fibers, with more flowing designs, and + I feel deeply yin but can't relate to romantics too. It is weird.
Hi body style 🎀 I love your videos always so descriptive, fun and educational. I can be ethereal and edgy and switch between both so effortlessly. this video will take my style to a whole other level.
I’m a Theatrical Romantic and think I could have some ethereal essence. I’m a natural light blonde with soft blue grey eyes and light to medium Olive skin. My colour palette is a soft summer. I’ve always thought I look very translucent or ghostly. I’m drawn to lace and chiffon material but I’m also drawn to the romantic dark and dangerous essence of the Theatrical romantic. I find that I don’t quite feel myself without something edgy and dark in my look. All Saints is my favourite brand as I can always find something that fits both essence.
Like everyone else in the comments, this is so hilariously true. My friends have always commented on my ageless looks, prominent eyes, and aloof air. My bf calls me an elf and says i always look sort of dazed lol. I always feel silly in girlish clothes (the babydoll dress trend did me so wrong), but dramatic clothes swallow me entirely! I’ve never figured out my kibbe type bc my face is so elongated but my body is lightly curved. This makes sense! Not sure how practical the styles are for me tho. Any tips for a very active ethereal?
I think I'm part ethereal and I look terrible in floating translucent through fabrics, but for whatever reason look good in Grecian get ups and completely see through garments in plastic. It's very weird. I noticed that one half of my face looks dramatic gamine and the other half look ethereal dramatic 🤣
I asked what my essence was on reddit some time ago and I was told that I look like the Virgin Mary lmao.. I think I have a very natural and ethereal essence!
The funny thing to me about myself is... I look good in edgy clothing, angeluc clothing and "pinterest" clothing. I admit I don't look good in several things. But anything high waisted I just rock ig lol😅 So I have a round nose at the end and a little sharness on the bridge and roundush features but some sharpness. It's hard to explain.
Ethereal can play up the dramatic in theatrical romantic. Pure romantic can seem a little wide on tr sometimes. Especially fluffy skirts. Empire waist and mermaid skirts can be crossovers.
I was recently told I have ethereal essence and I’d never heard of any of this before… but yeah I do agree with this description, and luckily I think I ended up naturally just incorporating the right fashion. (I basically live exclusively in flowy floaty dresses and include a lot of sparkly or iridescent elements. I’m 6 ft tall and plus sized, even though I’ve lost a lot of weight recently, so I never thought I could be beautiful at all, much less something so cool.
I have some but as I’m dark it just goes goth like immediately. Elongated forehead and nose and high cheekbones and smaller chin. Been called otherworldly quite a bit, or not quite human. S curves are perfect. But I think it’s a bit harder when you have dark coloring. People automatically assume you are trying to do a Morticia. I’m not trying. It just happens. If I try to wear clothes coded “sexy” though it is automatically trashy looking. Have to maintain elegance and floatiness.
This explains why sensual outfits and makeup looks just seem weird and out of place on me 😂 my friends say I look pure and innocent, and like I could belong to a different era. Someone had said 'white just hits different on you' and this video helped me understand now. I think I have a combination of ingenue and ethereal essences, with the ingenue being more dominant.

what can you do when your body is clearly romantic, but your face is very ethereal? i look good in things that accentuate my waist, but i look terrible in the pastel colors that are recommended for both, because my skintone is more of a light olive and it washes me out.
Pastels can work but you have to be specific esp for things near your face
I'm light olive too and have found the following pastels to work:
Light blues, mints, light peachy pinks, lilacs etc
Saturation is something to play with too
I'm light olive and love pastel lilac, blue or dusty pink.
I think that for men Jamie Campbell Bower is for sure a good example of ethereal

You definitely have large, Round, innocent-looking , wide set eyes which are the prominent feature on your face. I also don’t think your cheekbones look particularly high. Your features look very soft and gentle. You look youthful. I think you look more ingenue than ethereal. You’re gorgeous!

you have the angel-like features!! nothing to hate about that!💖
Ethereal makes the most sense to me!
So cool, thanks for making it
You're blessed 😆 i wish i was as pretty as her
I've been told the same (that I look like her) so I think I might be ethereal essence as well
Random bc same even tho i look nothing like her but i think its the vibe, my vibes reminded my friend of her rather than my physical features
PLEASE make a whole video like this on the ingenue essence please please please 😭😭😭
LIVE TYLER IS SO STUNNING.
i’m 19 and when i meet new people and they try to form an idea of my age, their guesses are so varied! like it *literally* ranges from 13 to 30 years old which i find pretty extreme and funny. my mum and i joke about it that i must be ‘ageless’. i was originally just watching this video for fun (loved it btw) but when you said the ethereal essence could be described as ‘ageless’, that resonated sm lol! maybe i should look into the essences a bit more!
Same! I’m part of a modeling agency and my casting director said I could pull 17-37
I experience the same thing! Usually in photos I look older, but when people see me irl they think I’m 14-16 (I’m in my early 20s)
It's main character syndrome. Who doesn't want to be ethereal? lmao
[Here I digress]
Same might happen on other places like MBTI model and it partly explains why many people fantasize intuitive types, especially NT people.
@@WisteriAvis I agree, on this video there's certainly a bias! But I was speaking generally, also when people on the style subs on reddit ask or talk about their essences and such. But I mean, it's okay, of course, it's not exactly a serious issue, people can do what they want - it's just something I noticed.
Except in reality, having a strong ethereal essence is difficult because most of the recommendations don't work for daily life.
You have a peculiar way of conversating with the camera, I feel like you actually mean what you are explaining in these videos. Subscribed
This is amazing feedback, thank you so much ♥️♥️
I don’t agree with ethereals having low contrast exclusively. I think people that aren’t blonde with fair skin can be ethereal essence too. Rihanna is a great example of this
you can have dark skin and be low contrast - one example she used in this video is lisa bonet
Low contrast can also mean dark skin and dark hair. (skin and hair close in color, so low contrast)
@@missmackify99 lisa bonet doesn’t have dark skin
From a Norwegian with these features 😃🙈🇳🇴
Or well Im normally pale I would say.
It’s definitely a contrast compared to the instagram beauty standards, where everybody looks just the same and if you don’t fit, then you aren’t worthy…
I really like your videos, they are really inspiring🥰 Thank you for all the work behind them!!
All the characteristics are positive words, I just love that We all can feel beautiful in our own bodies❤️❤️
For me i have dark hair but when i look at myself i feel like i notice a mix of romantic and ethereal in my features and my bf has told me i look like a sexy elf sometimes 😂 😊
wish i had a friend like you, you seem so fun to talk to about styles and aesthetics.
This this
THANK YOU for giving physical examples of how these qualities show up in clothing- bead spacing, feathers , s-curves etc- and WHY they work. The rose vs. lily explanation is amazing. You have a great way of combining explaining conceptual elements with physical counterparts. It’s specific and concise. As a visual learner- and for anyone interested in anything kibbe-like or related- this was immensely helpful!
You explain essences so well! Thank you!!
Haha! 😂
please share the subreddit! i cant figure myself out haha
@@LoveBsbForever yes please share
Yes!
Ingenue than? Gamine + etheral
My dominant archetype is the Sage/Mystic and I have many planets in Scorpio, so I think it all kind of fits for me, even if I don’t have doe eyes or elongated features!
i think i have ethereal essence.
once when i try cute looking dresses, it doesn't look so good on me.
and then there's one day i tried dark color outfit (alt aesthetic), it's looks more weird on me~
i even try Tomboyish clothes, but it didn't blend well on my appearance.
BUT ! after i found your chanel !
it turns out, i have ethereal essence. i started wearing dresses with soft color. add some pearls accessories, and yeah, i looks so much better ❤❤❤❤
When no style video or body type ever made sense for me and then I saw this…..I swear the stars aligned, literally
I feel like the singer Aurora is the absolute definition of ethereal essence
Agree! Same with Sharon Tate.
this is kinda hitting home for me. i've always looked really good in white. in fact two boyfriends in the past have bought me white dresses, and the second white dress after trying on heaps of dresses. they were both very 'angelic' looking type dresses.
She really looks otherworldly 💜
This has actually been a game changer for me, at 42 lol. A lot has fallen into place. Thank you so much!
Okay wow. These really suit you! I love these on you!
this is so helpful, kibbe has been trouble for me because i am long and thin but with soft curvature, so i've always had trouble placing myself (too soft for dramatic, too thin for natural, too long for gamine, too svelte for romantic, etc)
all of the styles you described that suits ethereal’s is everything i wear! loveeee
I'm dying to know what my essence is
This makes so much sense!
Thank you for watching! If you want to know your essence, I offer services at www.bodyandstyle.com ☺️☺️☺️
Oh, same here! Especially with the elvian and Liv Tyler comments lol.
I am very jealous of ethereal girls, you look so gorgeous and natural like a beautiful angel
it would be really nice if you added more pics women of colour as you talk about contrast so we can have an idea! love the video 😊❤️
I'm Ethereal/Ingenue blend and I've always been attracted naturally to those elements my whole adult life, so it's perfect👍🏻♥️
Overall that face seems pretty angular and actually matched those clothes pretty well
your explain things so well, I hope I get to see more explanations of the different essence and their combinations :)
You do look so glamorous and so femininely beautiful. Thank you for you're inspiring videos. 🕊💗
Thank you.
what was your experience getting typed by Kitchener himself?
This fits best to me! People often tell me I looked like an Elf and I never knew what they meant by that
I have very little ethereal essence, but I love the vibe 🪽
This makes so much sense as to why I fit into older looking clothes/period costumes and more angelic/elf like
Cassie from euphoria is a dead ringer for ethereal essence!
nah I think she's rather the perfect example of inginue
Honestly she herself kinda looks like Sydney Sweeney
I think ingenue and natural tbh, farthest thing from ethereal, she has a cutesy girl next door/perky cheerleader vibe haha. Though the big doe eyes are def an ethereal staple
OMG, this is literally me! I am so happy I came across this video, Thank you so much!
After taking your more recent video about face essences, the most check marks I had were on Dramatic and Ethereal. I've been struggling to figure out which one I am. I guess it's kind of hard to objectively say, "I'm angelic and other-worldly." 😅
I always thought I fell into the romantic but ethereal makes much more sense to me now
I personally don't think I have this essence but I recently realized many things looking at what doesn't look good on me. For example: geometric and plastic accessories, dark lipstick or heavy make up (especially on the eyes), and other stuff I tried very hard to fit in. I never thought about myself as sexy and girly, but I definetly am not a dramatic (or something related).
These perceptions estarted long before I found the style essences theory, when I naturally came to use things with holographic translucent materials, nature themed accessories (such leaves and buterfly wings), fabrics like satin and natural fibers, with more flowing designs, and +
I feel deeply yin but can't relate to romantics too.
It is weird.
For me you give me an ingenue dom and classic escence… ethereal is enlogented
I’m mostly Classic Romantic, but I think I have some Ethereal also.
Hi body style 🎀
I love your videos always so descriptive, fun and educational.
I can be ethereal and edgy and switch between both so effortlessly. this video will take my style to a whole other level.
Love this! Please make this type of video for other essences too♥️♥️
I’m a Theatrical Romantic and think I could have some ethereal essence.
Girl, I just Love your channel so much!💜😊
Can you make an in-depth video of all the other essences?
For sure 🥳thaaanks ❤️
I think I'm part ethereal and I look terrible in floating translucent through fabrics, but for whatever reason look good in Grecian get ups and completely see through garments in plastic. It's very weird. I noticed that one half of my face looks dramatic gamine and the other half look ethereal dramatic 🤣
FKA Twigs gives me this vibe
Yes and she cultivates it a lot
I asked what my essence was on reddit some time ago and I was told that I look like the Virgin Mary lmao.. I think I have a very natural and ethereal essence!
I was also told I look like the Virgin Mary sometime ago.
everything makes sense now. i knew i had to be very ‘yin’ but never fit into romantic/gamine/ingenue fully. always felt wrong. thanks! this is it!
You are so kind and informative! Glad to say I’m now a new subscriber!!
You look like a beautiful mermaid 💕
What an incredible video! Please do one on the dramatic essence soon
♥
The funny thing to me about myself is... I look good in edgy clothing, angeluc clothing and "pinterest" clothing. I admit I don't look good in several things. But anything high waisted I just rock ig lol😅
So I have a round nose at the end and a little sharness on the bridge and roundush features but some sharpness.
8:14 this dress looks perfect
That video makes it so easy to understand ethereal essence, great job ! Could you do a video like this on dramatics ?
I would LOVE to see an alaysis on all the Mad Men characters. I'd scream. That would be an incredible video
Sunrise/sunset colours and designs, rainbows.
