I planted my boyfriend’s grandfather’s tomato seeds that they have handed down for generations. They are a type of oxheart tomato. My larger one was 3 lbs. all meat. You have a beautiful garden
Wow! That is so impressive!
Aloe prefers drought conditions & hates their roots to be soggy. If u pot it & place it on a covered porch in even filtered sun or partial sun, it will thrive. Also makes sure u add some sand or gravel to the soil so it drains well. Kinda treat it like u would a cactus. 👍😊
I love the small onions and use them in many dishes. Especially salads. You can also dice the onions and freeze them. Thanks
The onions that you blended up I call them pearl onions and I put them whole in my soups or my pot roast they are so yummy!

I have allow in a few areas. Partial shade and well draining soil. Likes to be watered but doesn't want to sit in water. When it's happy, it will flower and produce lots of pups. Mix some sand in the soil to improve drainage.

The best thing I learned with aloe for my zone and land [9a and rural] was its own pot, full sun and leaving until dry to water. Overwatering leads to pests and plant death very quickly. I ADORE how involved your kids are. Also, your joy in the garden is contagious 😍 Thanks for sharing!!

Something about the crates is so wonderful!!! Maybe because they are air pruning?! So the roots are going straight down ?!

Thanks for sharing and the inspiration- in one month or so, my garden will be producing and I cannot wait. Cannot believe there was ever a time I did not garden (its been 6 years) because along with the idea of growing your own food, the beauty cannot be overstated in food we grow- grocery store produce just does not compare to home grown, especially when you add the love and passion for growing. Enjoy your garden for us (I am in Zone 3).
